Not only are they punctual, reliable, but the door was ready and delivered on time, and the communication was great. That matters when both of us work and schedules can be crazy. Our new front door is BEAUTIFUL !!! It adds a whole new updates element to our house .

We bought a front door that was over $4000.00. When they brought it to our house, it was the wrong…read moredoor. It was full open glass, and the one I ordered only the top part was glass. I felt bad for them and let them go ahead and install it (didn't even offer a discount on their mistake by the way) Wow, I made a big mistake! Not only has the glass warped over the past year, but the door latch broke a few months after they installed the door. They replaced it. I called again because it had broken again and was rudely told that my warranty had been out for two weeks and they would charge me almost $200 to replace a five dollar latch. You would think after spending $4000 and my aunt had recommended them and she had spent $10,000 on her doors, that they would come out and replace that latch for no charge since it was their faulty merchandise. The Customer Service is not there with Macklin doors. If I could do it all over again, I would have NEVER ordered from them! My aunt is appalled that I was treated in this way and we have both decided to never give a recommendation for this company and their doors again. Whomever is in charge of their customer service is doing a dismal job and they need to be let go. They were willing to lose us and others as customers over a cheap four dollar lock AFTER I had accepted the wrong door in order for them not to lose money!!! The glass will always warp and there's only a one year guarantee on that, the latches constantly break because they are using cheaper locks now to save themselves money. The chances of you getting the wrong door delivery is great. The Customer Service there is lacking in every aspect of what Customer Service should be!

The quality of repair work was poor and not done to code or according to best practices…read more Construction Pros was asked to complete tuck pointing on brick columns on the front of our house, install foundation vents on our crawl space, and complete exterior touch up painting. We received the quote of $2,000 on Friday 7/5. We agreed to the quote and work was to begin on 7/6 and take 4 days to complete. On 7/6 I was told it would be another $350 to complete the painting because he didn't include a part that needed to be done. We agreed to this. The total quote looked like this: tuck pointing $400, foundation vents $260, painting $1,690. After the first day of work, the tuck pointing was clearly done sloppily. In some places mortar had been applied over 105 year old bricks and. There were still holes the mortar in many places that were supposed to have been completed. The mortar joints that he did were not even with the old mortar joints as should be the case with tuck pointing. For the foundation vents, he installed roof eve vents and used the same mortar he was using on the tuck pointing to hold them in place. Eve vents should never be used for foundations because they are flimsy and do not work the same as foundation vents. In addition, when I asked about the use of mortar on the 105 year old stucco to keep the vents in place, he told me that mortar was the same thing as stucco. I paid an $800 deposit was to be used to purchase materials. After the first day of work, I called Efrain and told him that I no longer need his company's services. In no uncertain terms I would NOT recommend Constructions Pros for any work.

He put the windows in, but didn't finish putting in all the parts to the windows. He said he would bring the parts for the windows and as of today he is now ignoring my calls. When walking on my floor there is a drop due to the uneven foundation. The concrete foundation is an extremely sloppy job with excess concrete in my grass and on the foundation. He destroyed my gutter work on my house. The electrical work was not correct, he lied about having a permit pulled. I called and it was never pulled. I had to hired my own electrician to fix that messed up job. With all those issues, I had to basically start the entire job over and lost approximately $10,000 on the start of a very sloppy job.

I ordered two (2) security doors from American Window and Door built to unique specifications. I…read moree-mailed dimensions of the doors and subsequently faxed a measured diagram of the doors to Kevin Croon, owner, validating the original e-mailed measurements, which he gratefully acknowledged and subsequently admitted ignoring.1 Croon also admitted he did NOT check the doors "as built" against my specifications.2 As a result, neither door conformed to specifications and one (1) door conflicted with the existing rear exterior door and required extensive modification, at significant cost, to the existing rear exterior door. Croon offered a myriad of fixes, after the fact, all involving effort and/or cost to me regarding an installation 265 miles away. In my opinion, Croon became defensive, aggressive, and implied veiled threats. I spent an inordinate amount of time trying to work with Croon to explain the error was in the manufacture of the door not to specifications, not the supplied measurements, to no avail. I offered to provide measured photos in order for him to seek an adjustment with his manufacturer but he seemed uninterested in any option other than attempting to lay the blame on the measurements that he admittedly ignored and did not check post manufacture. Croon, in his refusal or inability to accept or understand the measurements were not in error or conflict, seemed to want to act as attorney, judge, and jury and assign liability without availing himself of the judicial system and referred this disputed debt to a collection agency after being advised this was a disputed debt. I suspect had Croon applied just a small portion of the energy he exerted in aggressive posturing there would not have been a conflict of the hardware. 1. "Had I looked closely at your fax, I would have pointed out the error..." Croon, E-mail, September 20, 2014, 1:41 PM. 2. "We normally unbox and check every door before they go out for installation but we opted not to do that considering that you had to transport them so far." Croon, E-mail, September 7, 2014, 1:20 PM
