All the guy could do was repeat over and over he was there to set up a consultation to have someone come out and measure and give me an estimate on my job. He must have said this 6 times, I kid you not. It could be a drinking game. Anyway, I'm like "I have the window specifications, can you tell me your cost if I give you the specs?" And he repeated the set up consultation line again. OK, Mr. Parrot. I'm out.

The contractor that installed it was professional and did quality work. Now for PCHI, I had an appointment set for Oct 9th and Freddie showed up 30 mins late without a phone call. On Oct 25th we dropped off a check for the deposit with them saying everything should be in stock in about 3-4 weeks. Nov 25th I called them being told that the last couple pieces should be in that week. I then called back on Dec 9th being told that they just got word that the pieces will be in that week and we should be schedule the next week but couldn't give me a date. I told them that I didn't want someone showing up without a phone call before hand. Dec 17th the contractor was knocking on my door without a phone call. When I called them I was told that they called and talked to me on the Friday before. I told them to check their phone history because it wasn't me that they talked to. Contractor finished in two days and left final bill at the door. I sent the remaining balance in the next day. The most disappointing parts are no phone call when running late to appointment, never getting a phone call with updates on order, and finally one asking how the install went. Joe Temple

Quality of work will appear to be great however as time progresses, and the materials begin to settle in, you will begin to see the defects on the sh1ty workmanship they provide. They will tell you they will cover workmanship yet, when it's time for them to do their part, they will be no where to be found. They will stall you. So if you are lucky to get a hold of them, ensure you lock in the date and time, and keep everything recorded so when the time comes you can protect yourself. They will send you a guy name Earl, he will tell you that they are working on getting things done for you that he cares for you blah blah , however when you show them how the walls look (refer to the pics I shared) they will "agree" with you and you will be told, let me check with the "boss" and see to make it right. Well that will be the story line you will get. I did however get some support from the gentlemen I just named, (not sure if it was because we were still months away from our so called workmanship contract) when I first moved here permanently, and time for us to install my washer the outlet was completely different from what it was originally with.c he did recommend me what to get and he ended up coming out to get that taken care off, again not sure if it was a front due to we still had several months left before that 1 year of new builders "warranty" . Fast track to today's date, after talking to the owner over the phone and me expressing how the people he contracted to do work on his behalf representing his name , was defected he himself said there was nothing he can do, I don't know if he even cared to see the videos I sent but as you can see in the pictures of the wall I shared, that looked like some folks from home depot did that wall who had not license to work on walls. Heck some of his own people told me that that wall was unacceptable. Anywho, not sure if I'm being petty or childish however I don't want for anyone to have to deal with what I'm dealing with. To be fair, my neighbor told me that he himself had the same issue with them trying to repair workmanship. He said it was like pulling teeth to get them to dos his stuff, what he did was opted let it go since the hassle was not worth it. When the Merrill's sent some folks to the house to repair the bathroom running boards about two weeks ago, and as of today the boards are not taken care off. I trusted their process and it appears that this company is not in the "building relationships with their customers" , how they have been in business for this long is beyond me. The companies reps they send to you will be sweet talking to you and buying time (from the experience and actions I have seen from dealing with them upon requesting the company meets their part of the bargain, maybe some other folks have had better luck but I'm expressing what has taken place in my situation showing the pics ) and will not be completing what they said they covered. Overall I would stay away from the Merrill's home improvement/building company. Had I known how they operate, I would have never trusted them. So please be careful and don't let get played by the GOOD COP BAD COP. All they are doing is buying time for themselves. They may be "affordable, but not worth the hassle!! Ensure your fellow veterans are fully aware of your in a leadership position ensure you inform Your soldiers who are looking into purchasing a home, to please ask who the builder is. When they are doing the walk through, please ensure to inform them not to take their realtors word nor the sellers realtors word that they have 1 year of warranty, if they see something wrong with the property looking into purchasing have them get it fixed immediately before they sign any contract! Asked him how much it would cost, he answered "sorry we don't do doors". I asked for just the estimate, and he went into a routine how awesome "the Winchoice experience " was. Politely Asked him to take measurement for an estimate, since I was busy . He then called his boss, put it on speakerphone and handed me a dirty phone during the virus stuff. I refused and his boss tried to give me another sales pitch, and I again asked for an estimate, before any more speeches. Went back to my work and he left without an estimate or a goodbye. I guess they don't need the work.

I broke a large picture window and called in for replacement 4 months ago. I have been given multiple excuses including the window being in the wrong warehouse to " we are waiting for an installer in your area to be free" In the mean time a full house window replacement for a customer that I referred was delivered incorrectly and they did not install even the first window. They simply left the job site. They COULD have driven the mile to m house and installed my new window but, they did not have it with them. Clearly there was no intent for that crew to accomplish the replacement. When they were wanting me to provide referrals they called me constantly, now I have to pursue them. What happened to living up to your word???
