So what makes this place a 5 star establishment you ask? Helen. Helen's been my hairstylist for the past 10 years. She recently bought this place a few years ago to expand her business. Even today I'm willing to trek all the way to Sugarland (I live downtown) just to get my haircut by her. I think Helen knows my hair better than I know it. I've always trusted her opinion and it's never backfired on me (e.g. the decision to get french bangs...which everyone LOVED). The staff at the salon are very nice and welcoming. A majority of the customers who go here are regulars. Everyone that enters is usually greeted with a "Hi (name)! what can I do for you today?!". The salon offers other services such as threading, waxing, nails, massages, etc. I've never really gotten any of those services but I believe the prices are very reasonable and affordable. If you live nearby or are looking for a new hair stylist, I highly recommend this place.

After going today and having the works - color, cut, wash, style - I see that her reviews were right on point! I had not treated myself to a salon day in three years and the grays and dead ends were proof! Helen made the color look very natural and the shade complimented my skin tone very well. She made me look ten years younger! It's hard for me to tell that I have a son who is nearing his thirties. I had thought to have my hair straightened but Helen suggested waves - the results show she is a true artist with a keen eye for style. Not to mention, she has a huge heart and after sharing her life story with me, I see a woman full of resilience and strength. Her love for people is evident and I felt welcomed like I was a regular customer of hers. I have already made plans to return in a couple of months for a touch up in time for my youngest daughter's high school graduation in May.

She is a national treasure and works absolute wonders! She is very meticulous with her craft so expect for a color and cut to be at least 4-5 hours long, but imo it's WORTH it. The care and patience Amy has reflects in her work, and I hope you can see it clearly in the photos where she's mentioned. I literally only go to see her yearly (if that) because that's how good her work is! It's always very natural looking, but you can tell there's been work done if that makes sense. Amy is also so approachable and open, and you can clearly see how much she loves what she does. Just book your next appointment here! You and your hair will thank me later for it!
