L'INCONTRO is not your typical dining experience. The expert guidance of the esteemed general manager, Edwardo, and his secret weapon, Michelin-starred Chef Aragonese Diego Millán, former owner of Zaragoza restaurant from Cancook, Spain, offers a unique and novel experience. This young chef's molecular gastronomy cuisine, a first for my wife and me, was a revelation. It stands out among the dozen Miami restaurants we've visited, and the expertise of Edwardo and Chef Diego Millán instills confidence in the restaurant's quality. Italian is the theme. However, we noticed the Spanish fusion touches and the perfectly cooked cuisine. The salmon and calamari were perfectly undercooked with unique sauces and flavors, like the shrimp tacos. The next day, I had this creamy smoked salmon soup for lunch, which was terrific. Edwardo and Checf Millán created a carefully selected wine list. Edwardo's professionalism, wine knowledge, and demeanor topped the experience. This operator-chef combination is what every restaurant owner dreams of. Additionally, the pricing was very reasonable, unlike most "Michelin Star" restaurants. This young professional chef has a bright future; we will dine there again!! Whatever your trip plans are, add this restaurant to your list. The hotel was comfortable, had a nice pool and bar, excellent service, and friendly staff, and was conveniently near the airport.

We came looking for wood fired pizza. Did not disappoint. Great service. Delicious fresh pizzas. It is a hybrid menu Italian and Mexican. Definitely coming back for Mexican if it's as good as the Italian

So this is a hybrid restaurant where they offer not only Italian food, but also Mexican food. Both of which are great! For this review we will stick to the Italian. The service is always great here and even ordering for pick up, they are always fast and friendly. My favorite of all their pizzas is the tartufo and the 4 cheese pizzas. Oh so good and cheesy of course. They are basically my go to every time. Pizza lovers, check this place out.

Even though this restaurant runs 2 very different kitchens, we always go for the Pizza. Pizza maker you may remember from Blue pizzeria off sunset. Great pizza, thin crust, tomato sauce is super good and always fresh ingredients. You will not be disappointed. Tip: try the white tartuffon pizza.

Their version of "chips and salsa"
    Kaitlyn W.

Came here expecting "Mexican food" as this is what they claim... however I asked for chips and salsa and they gave me the worlds smallest salsa, and then quesadillas came out and they looked like they sprinkled a tablespoon of cheese in them and then heated it up. If I could give 0 stars I would. Do not recommend.

    Interior

Stopped in for lunch expecting big crowds and was pleasantly surprised to find the place relatively empty. The interior is sweet reminiscent of someone's idea of an Italian villa I suppose. Blue and white checkered tablecloths are on all of the (12) tables. Only three were occupied. With one line gentleman nursing a glass of wine at the bar. We were greeted immediately upon seating (by greeted I mean approached by the server who laid our menus on the table and said 'drinks?'). Admittedly the service improved exponentially from that point on. The freshly wood oven toasted 'focaccia' was brought right away and delicately drizzled with oil and rosemary and sea salt and served with a lovely pesto sauce for dipping. I could have made a meal out of it, so tasty. The wood oven pizza topped with chicken was perfectly cooked. Always worry about the wood oven charring the bottom but this was perfect. My companion ordered the chicken parm with pasta- the chicken parm, while tasty suffered a worse fate than the pizzA and was a little too crispy on the edges for our liking. Offering a chance at redemption I finished my soda and waited to see how long it would take for a refill. 5 seconds. Winner. My meal was less than 10 dollars and I had food to go. Rey it. You will like it.

I have to say I was pretty impressed with the Italian food here. I went in a bit skeptical but you can't knock it until you try it. They start you off with some focaccia bread and a pesto dipping sauce. The dipping sauce is very yummy I can put it on everything. As my entree I had the veggie lasagna where they use eggplant in place of the pasta. When it arrived at the table it was so hot and the cheese was bubbling it had a creamy tomato sauce that was delicious! My family shared a salad and a cheese pizza that they said was cheesy and crispy ( sounds good to me)! Now the dessert.... I don't really like mango but since they ordered the mousse I decided to give it a try! WOW!!! It's a little dessert that's not too sweet, light, and airy! It was the cherry on top to my already good early dinner. I will definitely come again when I'm craving some Italian.

Definitely would not recommend! By far worse Italian I've had. I ordered the chicken parm and got a burnt block of something they called chicken Parm and then they gave me pasta with Alfredo sauce and had to remake it to pasta with red sauces and it taste like water tomato sauce. Very very dissapointing and will not ever go back! Save you time and money and go somewhere else. Customer service is not good either. If I could I'd give 0 stars

My first time eating here since they opened. And I have tell you it is great. I ordered a lunch special Pizza which is only four slices so it is personal. Mine came with mushrooms and bruschetta. They brought me a side of flat bread which was a good little appetizer. I can see that during lunch they get a good crowd. They also have Mexican Food. I have tried their Mexican food and it is good. The pizza is woodfired and so fare so good. I will be returning and I will bring my wife next time So I have brought my wife and the food is fantastic. Desert you must have!

Hidden gem! Tucked in a little corner of a small, out of the way shopping center is this little slice of heaven. The place is decorated simply but elegantly and the service was phenomenal. The waiter was friendly and very willing to make recommendations. We started with the foccaccia and HOLY PESTO! The first pesto I have ever had where the flavors were balanced and no one ingredient overpowers the other. I could've eaten that for days. I ordered the pizza and it was so wonderfully done. The sauce is slightly sweet and the cheese was salty and fresh. My husband had the lasagna and it is definitely what I will have next time. Super meaty and cheese, the epitome of wood fired Italian. This is a wonderful spot and we look forward to ordering again, especially since they deliver!!!

Yes! We found some good pizza in South Florida! Great Dough, Quality cheese, perfectly cooked pizza pie. I'm always hesitant to try new pizza parlors, but the excellent reviews lead me to this place and we weren't disappointed. We arrived after 4 so of course it was empty, just how I like it! Our server was extremely polite and courteous giving us ample time to look over the menu. We decided to try two small pies to explore their selection. The small is personal size. We ordered the Italian Sausage and A White Pizza (mozzarella,Brie,Gorgonzola and Parmesan) both were delicious, but I preferred the Italian Sausage. The crust was delicious! I took a Homemade Tiramisu to go that looked amazing, I can only assume it taste as good as it looks. I look forward to returning and trying their pasta dishes.

Two-in one! A while back I reviewed "Las Cazuelas" and mentioned that the owner also had an Italian restaurant, well I visited last night for dinner and let me tell you I was pleasantly surprised. For one thing, the owner combined both restaurants into one location so don't be alarmed by the Mexican/Italian menus. I'm usually not a fan of "fusion" restaurants because one cuisine tends to shine while the others suffer in quality, however L'Incontro's was nicely highlighted. Upon the server's recommendation, I ordered the "Lasagna Al Forno," which included a rich combination of bechamel, pink rose sauce and ragu. I'm still recovering from the deliciousness. The combo of sauces was unexpected but a serious harmony of flavors. Slightly sweet and savory, with all the richness. It was highly addictive. Speaking of addictive, L'Incontro's complimentary pesto and focaccia had me swooning! You could taste the fresh basil, pine nuts, herbs. It was 100 percent homemade and absolutely impressive. As for dessert, you can without a doubt expect that I tried the tiramisu and fell in love. So if you're ever in the mood for Italian or maybe Mexican, definitely give Las Cazuelas / L'Incontro a try.

    Rachelle R.

I am a big fan of woodfire oven pizza and this place does not disappoint. It is a very quaint restaurant with a nice ambiance. Staff is helpful and friendly. The portion are a good size and you will definitely not leave hungry. They bring foccacia bread and an amazing pesto to the table. We started with the fried mozzarella. The mozzarella is good and is served on top of marinara. The Margherita Pizza was good and I love the sauce. The crust is nice and crunchy. We ordered the ham and cheese calzone and it is delicious. It is big enough to share with three people. We ended the meal with the nutella calzone and it was heavenly. I will definitely be back.

I was happy to see Joe's here and this time I had to come back for a third time in Miami. The Caprese pie was my favorite. The ingredients here are way fresher than anything I've had in the west coast and the location was much cleaner as well! In general, we were disappointed with Miami's food selection but Joe's in Miami is where it's at! The service was average. They were friendly the first time but not so much the other times. But anyway, on to why we're all here - The Pizza: The crust had a great crunch but I felt lacked nuance beyond that, no chew and a touch on the dry side. I was pleasantly surprised and am very pleased to report that my lactose intolerance did not affect me at all! Don't get me wrong, I was full from eating all the amazing food, but I was only full...not bloated, not gassy, and certainly not feeling bad in any way! It must be because they use good quality and properly aged cheese...I don't know...but what I do know is that I'll be coming back here again, because I was impressed! This place is definitely a good one to visit for happy hour, so get there early, if you can, because it got packed for a Tuesday evening. Good vibes, good drinks, amazing food, and great staff make for a wonderful experience after a long day of work. I hope you enjoy your visit as much as I did!

Glad to have finally tried!…read more Loved the vibe. Felt more New York like which is great because im getting tired of the Miami where people go out solely to be seen. Ok now for food: Negroni was good Fennel salad was very yum Carpaccio was good (I was expecting it to be a little better tbh but it was still good) Mortadella pizza was really tasty! Margherita was good too the tomato sauce was really tasty and not sweet yay I will say they have a thing of burnt pizza or as the cool people call it, "char". We asked to do light on the char because I was with my dad and there is no such thing as char in his book, it's burned. Which honestly I kinda agree. The char really just makes the whole bite taste burnt. They were understanding about making it less though.
