A cute place with relatively meticulous, slightly above average food. The poached egg was attractive and tasty and came with yellowed (saffron?) cauliflower, sprouts (a common theme this year), and a walnut surprise in the puree. The pumpkin bacon canele was a savory take on the traditional pastry - enjoyable, sound, reminiscent of a corn muffin. The slow cooked shredded lamb was a fried meat rectangle with celery root puree, pickled onions, mustard seed, and a sort of demi-glace. Also attractive to the eye, but not enough notes - the lamb could've used more seasoning. The spaetzle came with pickled onions and an excellent parmesan crisp, but under-delivered on the mushrooms and the boring use of truffle oil. 3.5 rounded up. read more
