I also had the highly-recommended roasted Saint-Nectaire cheese topped with bacon--this was a warm, hearty, generous portion of decadent melted cheese served with croutons, and the bacon added a nice smokey, umami flavor! And then it was onto the mains. The salmon fillet was perfectly cooked and tender on the inside with crispy, seasoned skin on top. The fish was served over a risotto made with parmesan and beurre blanc sauce, but the rice turned out a bit on the mushy side for me. The Bavette steak served with bordelaise sauce and roasted new potatoes was definitely a hit--the thin steak was so juicy and tender, and the mini potatoes were soft and perfectly seasoned. Two amazing main dishes! And what's a meal without dessert? The classic tiramisu had a bitter flavor from the coffee and cocoa dusting on top, balanced off by the lightness of the mascarpone cheese and whipping cream. The dessert of strawberries with Chantilly cream was made of a cup of sliced strawberries in a light syrup, served with a dollop of whipped cream on the side, along with powder sugar and crushed nuts for decoration. The strawberries were a bit on the sour side (perhaps still early in the season) but paired deliciously with the airy whipped cream to make for a nice, light finish to the meal! For the 20 Euro price tag, this set menu was an absolute steal, and the service here was so quick and friendly too!

Les plats y sont encore plus bons qu'avant, belle présentation, assiette copieuse, très agréable gustativement et pour des prix très raisonnables. De plus, un bon accueil vous est réservé. Nous avons pris le saumon et le foie gras en entrée, vraiment très bons avec de bonne quantité dans les assiettes. Et en plats le secreto de cochon avec frites et le duo gambas saint-jacques et sa purée de patate douce tagliatelle de courgette, idem très bon, assiettes copieuses, PARFAIT. Puis après avoir découvert le menu à 16 euros avec entrée plat et dessert, le choix des plats nous a charmé. Nous avons pu nous mettre à table rapidement. Le service par une charmante jeune femme était impeccable. Le patron toujours présent pour la petite attention. Nous avons mangé un croustillant au chèvre ultra bon, l'émincé de canard était succulent, surtout à la sauce forestière. Un crumble a tombé par terre. J'en aurais mangé sur le crane d'un pouilleux. En entrée du chèvre pané au miel, à tomber, puis du thon à la plancha avec une fondue de poireaux, très bien aussi, et en dessert panna cotta au caramel pour moi et crumble aux pommes pour mes amis, excellents aussi. Les plats sont très bien présentés, on voit que les produits sont frais, rien n'est industriel. Fantastic little restaurant in a great location. The food was excellent (especially the desserts) and at a tremendously reasonable price. It's not the brasserie style you see everywhere, and gives far more of a fine dining ambience, but not pretentiously so.
