Okay, so enough time had passed since my Hair Fashion 3000 debacle back in May so I made an appointment with Joe to beg for forgiveness. I arrived really early for my appointment and asked if he could squeeze me in before his next scheduled client but after examining my hair and what had been done to it, he suggested I stick with my scheduled time so he wouldn't have to rush. Ohhh, that didn't make me feel good but he assured me he could fix most of it. I still have to grow out the front layers a little longer before it will be back looking normal again but I tell ya, what a difference a good hair cut makes! Yay! My curls are lively and again! Lesson learned: Not everyone can cut curly hair... who knew? I'm sorry Joe, I promise I won't deviate again. As for the salon itself, well... it's not the most modern and could probably do with a good scrub down but the front desk staff are friendly and I haven't had a better haircut anywhere else. read more

I have been going to a downtown Salon for decades, even though I live in Pickering. With Covid19, it really did not make sense to drive to Toronto just to get my haircut. So my wife made an appointment with L'Attitudes for my first haircut once the restrictions were lifted. I've been coming ever since. I feel relatively safe with the protocols that are in place and Sandra does a very good job of cutting my hair. I seem to get the same length as before but it grows back in 6 weeks not 5 weeks like the Toronto Salon. At half the price of a Toronto Salon and with an extra week of not getting it cut, the economics seem to be a lot better too. It is worth the try. Go for it. read more

I went to this salon for my first and last time. No one greeted me and they just pointed me the seat that I should sit on. I explained to my stylist how I wanted my hair but it didn't even look close to what I wanted. He didn't even wash my hair before the haircut but he just sprayed water. Really like my stylist. Having to wait an hour in a half before I get into my appointment is deplorable and un warranted. Something really wrong with booking. I can understand that delays happened but this is the second time that this has happened to me. So the appointment took 4 1/2 hours out of my day . When I was told it would only take 2 to 2 1/2 hours to get my hair hi lighted. My time is important as any one else's and I have others counting on me to keep my schedule. they were nice but should have told me the lady was in training when i got my eye brows done (threaded). Felt like she was using a knife and said my skin was sensitive ( i've gotten them threaded a lot of time before and never had this problem). Ended up having to go to a formal event that night with cut up butchered eyebrows. I also had to pay $16!! read more

The worst place to do a hair treatment. You will damage not only your hair but your scalp as well. Who does bleaching for more than 1 hour? The staff was having zero knowledge on what they are doing, customer service. I will never come back and will strongly recommend to avoid this place at any cost. I went for a keratin treatment. The person named "Micheal" who was called the King of the treatment. The worst person I could have imagined to do the treatment for me. He did keratin, then bleached my hair for more than 1 hour, color my hair (which turned out very bad after the 4th time he tried). My scalp started burning. There was no manager in store and the person responsible there (Hiba) she was so rude and started yelling at me and defending the bad job done on my hair. After complaining she said are you doing this drama for not paying today ? Is that the way to talk to a customer who is not happy with the job that is done on her? Except for the coloring, I did pay the whole keratin treatment which I did not see any results they promised and my hair and scalp is damaged with burning sensation. When asked for the manager, I was given a Name "Lisa" with no contact information. read more

I went to this salon for the first time and regret it. Firstly, they automatically charged me $60 for a senior stylist because I didn't specify what I wanted. My hair turned out uneven at the bottom and the hair stylist blow dried my hair without styling it because I didn't say how I wanted it styled. They try to do the bare minimum to get you out the door. A salon that can't cut the bottom of your hair evenly cannot be trusted to do anything. I went back to the salon to get my money back and they said all they could do was correct the problem and if I wanted a refund, I would have to call the manager. I called the manager and she said that since it has been a couple of weeks, she cannot refund my money which makes no sense. Needless to say I will never be coming back to this salon. read more

Worst experience I have ever had at a salon. I made an appointment earlier in the day. When I arrived they did not know who would be cutting my hair. I asked for a hairstyle magazine, they gave me an H & M catalogue. I wanted a very short graduated bob, but ended up with a much longer blunt cut. I had to go to Magic Cuts afterward to get it fixed. They hairstylist said he liked woman with long hair. I called the next day and asked if another hairstylist could fix my hair. Natasha said she would call me back after having to speak with the district manager. I never received a call back. This place seemed very unorganized and did not really seem to care if the customer was satisfied. Worst experience ever! Went there today and I'm still very angry and upset. I went there to get my pedicure done. First of all, the place is very dirty as well as the look of some people who work there. Unfortunately I can't remember the name of Asian lady that did my nails but it was terrible. The nail polish was all over my toenails even though she spent 15 minutes cleaning it up before I could see it. It was just extremely bad. I went to the front desk to find the manager to say that I am not satisfied with this work. He didn't even apologize!! Hi said that I can't get any refund or even discount and he repeated 3 times "you have to pay" no matter what I was trying to explain to him. He suggested that some one else can redo the application but I could not wait for another 30 minutes to get new application done and to wait util it is dry! I have gotten my eyebrows many times at L'attitudes by two different employees. If it is your first time, I would highly recommend asking for Sarika Sharma since she shapes them in a way the suits her clientele. When someone threaded my eyebrows too small, she told me they would get back to normal since she would leave some extra hair each time she did them. This was great because now I do not have to grow my eyebrows out for months on end. read more

I went in for a facial asking for deep cleansing, also asked for extractions. Did NOT get this at ALL! Immediately they tried up-sell me to Microdermabrasion which of course is more money. I decided not to get it once the "esthetician' began with & ONLY scrubbed harsh wet facecloths across my face with just water or sometimes rubbed my face hard like someone would massage your back, dragging my skin! Also kept doing the same uncomfortable, sometimes smushing my 2 sides of my nose at the same time with her fingers. Couldn't open my mouth to breathe cause it was covered in some lotion or liquid of some kind. None of the products used smelled decent at all, have no idea what was used as she did not tell me. One substance at the beginning actually stung my skin so I asked for something else. I asked about extractions & was wrongly told that the liquid applied did that without having to actually manually extract??? Please, I've had many facials before, don't even pretend you know what you were doing! I could not wait for it to end from the very first cloth scrub down my face. It was harsh & uncomfortable the ENTIRE TIME! No extractions, no steam, horrible!!! Do NOT go here! Sarah does a beautiful job on your hair, however, to have a $20.00 treatment put in your hair without your approval and then charging you $35.00 to blow dry your hair (once again without advising) after having it coloured is taking advantage of your client. With tip, having my hair cut one day and coloured the next, I paid $310.00 - for shoulder length hair! It is so wrong to take advantage of someone this way. read more

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Chemical burn on my scalp from them starting at the top of my head to the bottom which is darker. Is was on for OVER an hour. My hair turned yellow. I had to make a hospital visit. Manager refuses to give my money back. read more
