The Rosti did not disappoint. Full disclaimer: Rosti can be a bit heavy with the cooking process that can include butter along with some bacon. Yes, the Rosti had the expected greasy texture, but just enough to make it savory without overpowering the various ingredients. I would recommend this restaurant if you are interested in trying the traditional Rosti dish in several varieties.

I decided to be a little bold and went for the venison medallions. I even tried some of my colleague's wild boar pate, which was good. I started with a pumpkin chestnut soup which I really enjoyed. My venison was lovely as were the accompanying sides. There was a wide variety of side dishes in small portions and I appreciated that. I paired everything with a nice local beer and it was a very nice experience. The dessert menu is extensive and I went with an old standby, a chocolate mousse. It was absolutely incredible. Everything was fresh and delicious, service was outstanding and I could understand that by the time we left, there wasn't an empty seat in the place. Definitely recommend the experience here. They definitely have it down! There was a line of waitresses (only women waiters work there) they were allocated per group in line and walked you to your seat. There is no menu - everyone gets the same thing your only choice is what you get to drink and if you want your steak rare, medium, or well-done. When the plate of food came out, my husband and I thought it was a small portion and then realized they they give you another helping after you finish the first one. The sauce is very unique and flavorful but, I am not sure I would agree on the food being worth the price. It was a unique place to experience while on vacation but, I won't go out of your way to go there.

Not only the food was great, the ambiance and treatment we received was amazing. The chef came by each table and said hello and was very kind, the waiter tolerated my brother who always has a special order. Didn't even laugh at us when we asked for cold glass of milk with our dessert, which most Europeans would. We saw the food that a large group was having it seemed it was specially made for them, but they were nice enough to make it for us too. The waiter saw me stealing potatoes off of my brother's plate, and brought us an extra side plate of potatoes.
