Foie gras with pears and grilled brioche
    Jen M.

Quaint place tucked behind the busy lakefront street, romantic and casual. Everything is in French but the staff can help you order in English. I ordered an asparagus salad with a poached egg and Parmesan, it was delicious. Then the foie gras with grilled brioche and pears, amazing but too much for 1 person. Paired with a nice Sauvignon Blanc. It was mostly locals and several ordered the burger and fries, it looked amazing. Remember US dining experience is totally different than French, stay open-minded.

Great place! I went on a Friday night to have dinner with a friend. The place looked fully booked! The hosts were very nice and attentive :) The menu is perfect, not to big with great options to choose from. I ordered the scallops and my friend got the risotto! Both delicious dishes! There were 7 scallops on my dish, all perfectly cooked! The side was of mashed potatoes with truffles, some (weird) garlic sorbet (I wasn't a fan of that) and a arugula salad. :) For desert I had the meringues with double cream! Amazing meal!

Their signature cheeseburger that comes with delicious fries, a tasty dip and a bowl of greens.

Since I'm always "game" for a new experience, I was happy to participate! I was a little nervous because when we arrived they had just opened and there was nobody there. However, I soon relaxed and felt right at home, because service was very friendly and encouraging, but with no pressure to try the game menu. I decided to be a little bold and went for the venison medallions. I even tried some of my colleague's wild boar pate, which was good. I started with a pumpkin chestnut soup which I really enjoyed. My venison was lovely as were the accompanying sides. There was a wide variety of side dishes in small portions and I appreciated that. I paired everything with a nice local beer and it was a very nice experience. The dessert menu is extensive and I went with an old standby, a chocolate mousse. It was absolutely incredible. Everything was fresh and delicious, service was outstanding and I could understand that by the time we left, there wasn't an empty seat in the place. Definitely recommend the experience here. It's more than just the food!

One of our favorites was beef with a foie gras top. We were really too full for dessert, but had to order when we saw them at a neighboring table. I especially loved the Floating Island! It's the first time I've had one in many years.
