Downstairs hosts a plethora of wines and upstairs is where you eat. We wanted to sit by the window so we can admire the Duomo but the sun was glaring in our eyes so we sat somewhere else. We started off our meal with anchovies swimming in olive oil that paired perfectly with buttered bread. My main dish was the saffron risotto and Ossobucco ( a Milanese staple). The veal was so soft that it melted right in my mouth. My brother ordered the Mezze Maniche alla carbonara with black truffles. Are there better restaurants in nearby? Absolutely!! But this wasn't bad for our first meal in Milan.

The second floor provided a more quiet setting than the first floor, which is really more part of the outside sidewalk seating... nice people watching, but very noisy! LOL The pre-set menu we had included a meat and appetizer tray, pasta, chicken cutlet, dessert and cappuccino ... we returned to the restaurant a second time for a quick bite when back in Milan before our trip home. The menu is a bit limited, so we settled for a small meat/cheese tray. Great location at this spot. For a chain restaurant, the fare is good! Cute plates too! Recommend Signorvino.

Not one, not 2, but 3 amuses to begin the meal, then your choice from several parts of the menu. Want 2 pastas or 2 mains? No problem! Great flexibility, and we enjoyed everything they served. The 47€ lunch, given all the little extras you get as part of the voyage, makes the price an incredible bargain.

Alice is located on the top floor of Eatly Milano. Take two escalator rides up and head towards the back, hidden behind glass doors. You will be greeted an amazing staff. We scored a two top w/o reservations thankfully it was a slow Thursday lunch. Kick things off (Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore D.O.C.G. - Borgoluce) Apps - Steak Tartare - Served in a celery root with you guessed it a celery root puree and egg yolk, fantastic, went super with the Etna Bianco DOC 2017 - Graci Entree - Osso Bucco - again, not traditional - half piece of broiled bone marrow with 1/2 steak tartar and half semi cooked steak wonderful contrast in texture. Went extremely well with my Barolo (2008 Giacomo Borgogno & Figli Barolo Liste) We skipped dessert but was given a complementary trio of small treats. Chocolate, passion fruit and something else not that memorable (sorry)

My best friend has Lebanese roots and Medditeranean cuisine is my absolute favorite. So I'm picky in this regard! I ordered the vegan platter which came with a lot of varies small plates with various textures. All the classics - salad with tahini dressing, hummus, babaganoush, grape leaf roll (just one lol) as well as some other dishes like green beans and eggplant in stewed tomato, and some fritters that were not exactly falafel. I think they were made with corn meal... that's not falafel lol. They still tasted delicious! There was also a little fried spinach snack and roasted potatoes. When I shared the pics with my friend, she immediately said why do they have potatoes that's not classic Lebanese, haha! Ethnic cuisine in Milan is okay. A lot of times the spice profile is toned down a lot ( I assume because that's what North Italians are used to) but Beirut's offerings are still quite delicious! If you're feeling super hungry after a long work day and craving various textures and flavors, do what I did and get yourself the vegan platter delivered to home!

Cold mezé tajin was the best ever tried, chickpeas, lemon juice, onions, garlic & cilantro: this was my absolutely favorite dish. Warm mezé falafel, never had them so crunchy outside and moist inside. Warm pita bread made upon demand in a wooden oven. I tried the sambusik but will not order again, the filling of meat and onions was excellent but pasty outside was too thick. Lots of vegetarian dishes, all very tasty. The Dolce Neve dessert is similar to panna cotta from Piedmont but the rose water and pistachios gave it a different twist. I still prefer panna cotta. A very filling and satisfying meal priced at 20 bucks each. Great value for money. Strongly advised.

Designed by architect Giuseppe Mengoni and opened in 1867, it contains a central octagonal space and dom made of glass - one of the most distinctive in the world! It gets very busy with people shopping, taking allot of photographs, and congratulating around a few points of interest such as the famous bulk mosaic--there is a little dance you can do to bring you good luck! If you're interested, you can search for damage on the Galleria in WWII and they have rebuilt/restored it very well! I would recommend making a reservation during prime hours and sitting outside if they have space there. The pizzas are the thin crust Roman style and very solid - the classic Margherita is the one to get as the execution is fantastic. You get the flavor of a NYC slice made with better ingredients and with a great thin crust. This reminds me of Marta in NYC which closed during COVID. The classic entrees are made in the comfort food style - solid flavors, generous portions, and good ingredients. Be sure to try the costelleta or ossobucco. The cutlet is perfectly tender with a crispy crust served with fantastic roasted potatoes. The ossobucco itself is just okay but the risotto is very satisfying especially with the bone marrow. If you are by the Duomo or Galleria and want comfort food this is a great option.
