Greek Fusion - Feta Saganaki (vegetarian)

Really great place to get Greek food in Milan!…read more Located in the heart of Navigli, amongst a number of cafes and eateries alongside the main canal. You order at the register before you get your meal which is nice, because we all know waiting for the bill in Italy is timeless torture! I love veggie platters and a freshly made basket of falafel, but this time I decided to try a new-to-me dish, Feta Saganaki (pan-fried feta cheese drizzled with honey!) Oh, was it delicious! It was the first time I heard of this dish and hope I can try it again at a Greek restaurant in the future. It came with a nicely dressed side salad as well. My friend orders tzaziki for the table and thankfully it came with oiled pita bread triangle to help with dipping. I would go here again and again whenever I get bored of pizza and pasta. A diversified diet is a good thing, right?

Opa! If you can't…read moreget to Greece because you're stuck at the Navigli in Milano. No problem! This is one of the best Greek places I've gone too. They have all types of Greek dishes, platters, feta, yogurt, baklava, you name it! If you're looking to eat chicken, meat or want to be "light" or are vegetarian, this is the place to go to. The best part is you can add any extra ingredient (such as kalamata olives) for only €0.20! If you're a feta lover (like me!) it's only €0.50 more. The prices are very reasonable and the flavors explode in your mouth. Everything is made fresh to order. When you arrive (this place is always packed) you can sit indoors or outdoors. Once you have your table and choose from the menu, you get up and order at the register. The best part is after this, you just go sit back down, sip on a Greek beer, and wait for your food to be served to you. We had a great time, and will be definitely going back again! The chickpea pita is to die for! Also, make sure to try both the white and spicy sauce, soooooo good!

The restaurant is typical small Italian feel. Pleasant and comfortable…read more The service was polite and a little stand offish but very responsive. The food was incredible. We got the eggplant crispy and a side of spaghetti with marinara. The sauce was wonderful and the eggplant was huge and the cheese was excellent but the sauce was the star. The crème brûlée- this was the amazing part of the meal. Not a typical brulee. There was no sugar crust. It had a fruit reduction on the plate and fruit on top and was a wonderful custard. Our friends got the lasagna and said it was one of the best ever. They also got the salad with chicken breast and it was huge. They had the tiramisu for desert and it was excellent. This place is highly recommended.

We wandered into Antica Locanda Il Tavolino, just down the street near our hotel--and let me tell you, chef's kiss. The service? Impeccable. Warm, attentive, and refreshingly unpretentious. The food? Let's just say I'm still dreaming about my pizza ai quattro formaggi (sorry, I forgot to take a pic! However, you can visit my instagram or tiktok because I made a video. Plus the perfectly steamed spinach that kicked off the meal. Simple, elegant, and absolutely delish. No gimmicks, just flavor. The vibe was intimate without being stuffy, and the menu had enough variety to make me wish I had a second stomach. Next time I'm in Milan, I'm coming back with an appetite and a mission: try everything. If you're looking for a spot that feels local, tastes luxurious, and doesn't scream "tourist trap," this is it. Grazie mille, Tavolino--you understood the assignment. Ohkurr?

Well, I'm a Greek and I was looking to eat something that would made me feel like home. No more…read morepasta or pizza! To be honest, for a Greek restaurant abroad the food was nice - not better than eating in Greece of course! The atmosphere was very good, for a moment I thought I was in Greece! The food was nice - especially tzatziki. We spent 26€/per which is quite expensive for Greek food in Greece but for Milan is a normal price. If you have never tried Greek cuisine I totally recommend this place but if you really want to have a real experience of Greek food then you should visit Greece for sure! When I miss Greece, I will visit esperides again!

Colours and mediterrannean tastes are scanned by the rhythm of sirtaki in the background. The atmosphere is intimate, with soft lighting, but also young and informal. The menù offers the best of traditional cuisine prepared according to the recipes of grandma Sophia, using DOP e DGP products imported directly from Greece. There are many variations in the menu and they can satisfy the most difficult palates, as well as vegetarians. Esperides is the perfect place for a romantic dinner, a night out with friends, an alternative and fun meal or a business meeting.

This is very unfortunate. I somehow figured out enough on the menu to decide to get the cheese with tomatoes in a pan with pita to start, and then I got a chicken/cheese salad. Also, no such thing as free water here. So you better wanna spend big and wait a long time to get your food... I don't really know anyone who sets out to do that. It was 7:00 PM in the restaurant was very empty. Weird. The decorations are very tacky and the wait staff are very rude. They could not give a care in the world about whether or not your food is coming, and they just stand there all day on their phones! It's took about 30 minutes for my first dish to come, and then 20 minutes for my salad to come... Kind of ridiculous... No wonder overall this place has 3 stars. The food won't kill you... But the service might. Gosh. Would it kill these people to be apologetic about how long the food takes to be prepared... that's what waiters are supposed to do.

The service was attentive and the waiters (I went multiple times in the months that I was in Milano) were patient and helpful in explaining the dishes. Itaka had some wonderful "fusion" style offerings and delicious wine. Give them a try. The place has a pleasing yet fresh casual atmosphere and tasty dishes. PS-Maybe we should cut them a little slack if they resolutely refused to learn English in Italy. Whoda thunk?
