The wine is delicious, especially the cabernet sauvignon. Highly recommend trying their wine!

The wines were bold and fruity, but some wines were tannic. You can bring outside food. Ken helped pour our tastings. They even have complimentary chocolates and popcorn on a table outside. They also sell some cheese, charcuterie, and drinks in a small fridge inside. They also have wines on tap. You can buy the growlers. We did get to try the Mercury Rising California wine on tap. chardonnay- good, oakey rose- smells funky aged, tastes ok pinot noir- decent merlot- fruity, smooth, bold cab- tannic but fruity Bordeaux blend- mercury rising California - tannic

The wines were as good as usual, but the charm was lacking. The little building appears cute, but it doesn't have a vineyard feel at all. It sort of feels like a parking lot. On one side, there was a lawn with picnic tables and a stage. On the other side, there were cafe tables and the restrooms. It could be better if things were reoriented to take advantage of the view of the distant hills, but as it is, there's not much to see. On the good side, you are welcome to picnic here, which we did. There was also live music, and a way to get more distance from it if the music was too loud. We left with our growler filled, but it seems like a long way to go for another refill.

We ended up finding this spot just on Apple Maps and it looked really cute. When you get there, there will be the cutest black and white dog roaming around. Her name is Noe! She is part of the winery and comes to great you at your car. What great service! The inside of the winery is very simple and cute. They have a big patio to sit outside with your drinks. I will say, I am usually a sweet wine person and we were told there were no sweet wines at this facility. Nonetheless, we did a wine flight just to try! The wines were very smooth, none were really my taste though. Again, preferring sweet wine this was a bit to adjust to. However, my family who got red wines and actually like red wines loved it! The star of the show for me was actually a peach cider they have! I usually don't like ciders either, but this one was so delicious and refreshing! I wish I had just got a couple of those. Overall, service and everything was great! The man was very knowledgeable and friendly. Noe was an exciting part of the experience. And the cider was so amazing! I would come here again on another Cali trip.

The venue features live music regularly. Hank Terlaje entertained the crowd with lovely renditions of iconic tunes in various genres, like soft rock and pop, country, and oldies. He performed an awesome song list on the guitar and vocals, including Elton John's Tiny Dancer, Phil Collins' In The Air Tonight, I Can't Tell You Why by the Eagles, Dream On by Aerosmith, Come Together by The Beatles, Listen to the Music by the Doobie Brothers, and Total Eclipse of the Heart. He even took song requests and had the crowd singing out loud to classics like Sweet Caroline. We did the premium tasting, consisting of six different wines for $25. There were various snacks available for purchase, like dried fruit, trader joe's chocolate bars, pita chips, and even dog treats too. But we stuck with the wines, sampling a syrah, dornfelder, merlot, and red blends. So many layers of flavors. My fave was Bella's Reserve Merlot (2021). We purchased a bottle of Sophie's Estate red blend to take home as well. Nothing too fancy about Verde Vineyards, but we had a positive experience and appreciated everything this place had to offer.

I signed up for the $100/4 bottles quarterly membership, and it's been great until recently. I noticed that they've been charging me $130 instead of $100 for the past 6 quarters without informing me of the change. I've gone in person to the San Martin location and spoke to two different people on two different occasions who told me the price should be $100 and that Theresa could fix it. I left my name and number, and no call from Theresa both times. Called the Hollister location today to resolve this issue. The person who picked up told me that they sent two notice emails out and that it probably went to my spam. I have never gotten a DeRose email in spam because it's been marked as "important" ever since I signed up for the membership. It turns out that I got one email about a sparkling wine event. At the bottom of that email is a short notice on membership price increases. There should be a separate email with the proper subject line and a dedicated message on the membership price increases. I'm not scrutinizing every event email for a potential price increase. I cancelled my membership. Not very happy and will not be supporting this business again in the future.
