    Indoor tasting

We walked in Saturday around 3pm. There's both outdoor and indoor seatings. They shared the building with another winery called DeRose. $20 tasting fee for 5 wines. The service was good but the wines weren't our style. They have lighter wines. Not complex and bold enough for us. Wished they had a dump bucket so we didn't need to finish each wine...The restrooms were a bit weird that they use curtains instead of doors for the stalls. The 1st Sat of the month deal sounded good. You get 1 bottle, 2 salads, and 1 pizza for $30. If the wine was good, then we would come back for the deal.

    Smoked Salmon Pizza. No thanks.

Very sad to see the decline of the Friday Happy Hour. House wine is $7.50 when it was $5.00. I always had to ask for another glass. With it being 100 degrees, the same glass was used. Pizza is still $10. The amount of flies was very annoying. My pizza box was closed and they still landed on it.

Loved this place! The decor, people were super nice and they have two big pizza ovens so you can snack while you sip. Their Chardonnay is incredible and they are next door to another winery that has a warehouse of vintage cars. Nice place to stop for a couple of hours.

I can't comment much on the wine. It was good and didn't carry any lingering aftertaste. The pizza is solid.

We went to a special Paella Party event. It was amazing. Pizza appetizers and a glass of wine was offered to us as we watched a massive pan of Paella being freshly prepared as we mingled with the other guests. It was a little cool that evening so we took our food into the car museum and dined in comfort and enjoyed the cool car collection up close. We brought first time guests who enjoyed themselves so much they plan on making LUV Winery a regular stop.

Excellent pizza, nice vibe, really nice white wine. We cae to Gilroy from San Jose on a Saturday without a plan. We just stumbled upon this lovely winery. Will be coming back.

This location is made up of three businesses- Little Uvas Vineyard & Pizza, Derose winery tasting, and Luv Winery tasting. Inside the giant tin industrial building is a charming wine tasting bar with tables by Derose Winery which partners with Little Uvas- and a collection of vintage race cars. The pizza from the patio outside is excellent, the wines are lovely, and everyone is very nice. I highly recommend it!

Friday happy hour is an amazing deal! The oven roasted pizzas are delicious and they give healthy ;) pours!

Lion Ranch specializes in Rhone and Provence varietal blends so expect unique blends of red and white wines along the lines of Viogner, Grenache Blanc, Marsanne, Mourvedre, Terret Noir, and more. All very clean, smooth, and tasty. MOST OF ALL - I liked that the wines had less sulfites (no more headaches for me!) There are 3 flight tasting options - white, red, and mixed (which includes a rose). All three are great options and value at 6 tasters for $20. If you choose to purchase a bottle they are all mostly around $26-45. I loved that this place allowed you to bring outside food as it was the perfect picnic spot but if you don't, they also have a mini fridge of charcuterie items to purchase. The winery itself is intimate, but with ample outdoor seating. A small babbling fountain, corn hole, and umbrellas for shade round out the ambiance. It was perfect for a lazy Saturday afternoon. Also thank you to Jen & Mike for making the tasting so special and fun! I loved their knowledge of the wines and hospitality. Highly recommend a visit with friends :)

Nestled in San Martin, right off of Santa Teresa Blvd, you'll find Lion Ranch. It's an ample sized vineyard with a small yet quaint tasting room and patio. You have the option to stand inside the tasting room or enjoy the outdoor patio that they have, which has more than enough space but don't forget your sunscreen! You'll be greeted by your winetenders, who can guide on what wine options might be best for you since you'll be handed a menu with three different wine flight options as well as the option to order individual glasses or bottles. You'll also find a few food items to nibble on while tasting. We went ahead and tried the Mixed flight, that had 2 whites, a rosé, and 3 reds. All the wines were pretty gentle and palatable but I definitely found the white wines to be more of my vibe. It was a nice and relaxing wine tasting experience, no pressure to buy, no pressure to act like sommeliers, just great tasting wine and beautiful California weather. So if you're looking to get away from home and try out some great tasting wines, then Lion Ranch just might be your spot.

I signed up for the $100/4 bottles quarterly membership, and it's been great until recently. I noticed that they've been charging me $130 instead of $100 for the past 6 quarters without informing me of the change. I've gone in person to the San Martin location and spoke to two different people on two different occasions who told me the price should be $100 and that Theresa could fix it. I left my name and number, and no call from Theresa both times. Called the Hollister location today to resolve this issue. The person who picked up told me that they sent two notice emails out and that it probably went to my spam. I have never gotten a DeRose email in spam because it's been marked as "important" ever since I signed up for the membership. It turns out that I got one email about a sparkling wine event. At the bottom of that email is a short notice on membership price increases. There should be a separate email with the proper subject line and a dedicated message on the membership price increases. I'm not scrutinizing every event email for a potential price increase. I cancelled my membership. Not very happy and will not be supporting this business again in the future.

We wondered if it had something to do with them merging or becoming Cor de Valle winery. It seemed confusing to us whether we were drinking wine from one or the other. Once we got past the odd lack of welcome and went to tables outside though, we had a wonderful time. Such a beautiful upper and lower courtyard surrounded by vineyards; it almost feels like you have been transported to somewhere in Europe. The wines were delicious.
