In response to owner comment- I have never been asked if they need to know to use water or not for a kids Mani pedi. Only if they want the cuticles cut. I did express I wanted water and everything else besides the cuticle cutting but I understand miscommunication happens. Maybe add an Express kids Mani/pedi to the menu. I called last Friday around 530 and they said they could take a walk in kids Mani/Pedi and a regular pedicure, so my 7 year old daughter and I went in about 20 mins later. The salon is very nice and very clean. They were busy but not as busy as I expected for a Friday. The receptionist (who was super nice) asked me something about a full manicure for my daughter, I was confused and she said basically if they should use water or not. I said well, her nails are very short so filing over cutting and please don't cut cuticles but besides that yes, a regular manicure pedicure. My daughter was almost done by the time my pedicure got started and we had been talking so I wasn't paying too much attention. Although her feet were washed/soaked, her hands weren't. It was straight polish remover, very quick file and straight to polish. I assumed the same woman had to do my pedicure and maybe that's why, but no. She moved on to another customer while Yvonne did my pedicure, which was fabulous! She spent more time perfecting the nail polish than anyone else ever has, it was honestly spotless. I paid $38 which was about 4 bucks cheaper than what it should have been. I should have asked the breakdown but didn't as my daughter was in such a rush to leave. As soon as we got to the car she broke down crying saying she never wanted to go there again, she didn't get any lotion or massage etc. Now, I know she's a kid, but we do mom and daughter mini spa stuff all the time so she is quite the veteran of nail salons. She can paint her nails herself any day, she most looks forward to the "spa" aspect of a mani/Pedi. She's never been upset after a nail trip. I'm not sure if this is how they do their kid services- no lotion, massage, hand washing, basically everything you'd do in a regular mani/pedi or maybe what I said confused them, I'm not really sure. I personally think a kids Mani/pedi should be just like an adults just on smaller hands and feet. So, if you're looking to do something like this with your daughter I recommend Melody's Nails which we both love. If it's for you, go for it, but ask for Yvonne. read more

I had a terrible experience with my first visit which will be the last for sure. I had an appointment for manicure and pedicure and after 20 min wait time, someone started on my pedicure. She did an ok job until she applied the nail polish. The OPI color was too old and should've been tossed away. Oh wait they don't do that cuz they charge extra $3 to apply the newer colors :/ The woman who did my manicure was a total disaster. She was rushing and she had hard time applying the color. She messed up one of my fingers polish 4 times. She also messed up my pedicure while it was drying. She was all over the place and she sucked. I had to remove the color right after I got home. Terrible experience read more

1 stars because the lady who did my pedicure was really good. 0 stars for the lady who did my full set. She cut me 5x and tried to tell me it's because of the nail file and not her. I told her I shouldn't have to pay full price because my hands hurt and I'm in pain. They only took $5 off! I would not recommend coming here for acrylics. I'm really. I was looking forward to my nail appointment and now I'm just in ....... update, 2 days later my hands are infected read more

Really really happy with how my acrylics came out. Nicky really took her time and made sure that the nails were all even and nice. This is one of the best acrylic nail sets I've had. Also had my eyebrows done. Really happy with them too. They kept the thickness while just cleaning up a bit I'm super happy. I will be coming in and be a regular customer! read more

After visiting far too many nail salons, I have finally found my favorite. They are all very sweet and caring, but my go to now is Karen. She is very precise, careful, and gives amazing massages. I love her and will always ask for her from now on. However, not all of their technicians are as detailed focused as Karen - try hunting for the technician who fits your needs because some of them do tend to skimp on massages when they ARE included in spa pedicures. L'Amour is clean, they have a great nail selection, offer water and hot tea, and they're all very hospitable. I am so happy to find such a perfect nail salon so local and hope they continue to stay perfect! I highly recommend talking to your technicians and let them know what you like/don't like - you are paying for it! There have been times where I've gotten terrible work done at other locations but haven't said anything and now I'm absolutely relieved that with Karen and L'Amour's team of techs, I'll get the nails I expect. My feet are very sensitive, and Karen's attentiveness and skillfulness allows my experience here to be painless and enjoyable! P.S. Don't book with Karen - she's all mine! read more

This salon is my favorite salon. I've been going here for over 5 years ever since I moved to Tujunga. I have been trying to find a nail salon that I like because there are a lot of mom and pops around here but this one makes me the most comfortable. It's close to home and work. Yeah you can't just walk in and expect to be seated but I always make an appointment. I usually call a week before and they're able to give me a time that works with my schedule. Overall, I am very happy! read more

I just discovered this nail salon and I couldn't be happier. My nails still look great after three weeks! Super clean, fast and easy. Great customer service, always accommodating to last minute changes or requests. Tiffany is the best and love the front desk, she picked up my Starbucks order for me :) read more

I'm not too happy with the nail techs at this salon. Yes they have a variety of gel colors; however, every time I go get my nails done here I'm not too happy with the nail technicians. Kim does a good job with the filing and polish, but she has hurt my big toe every time she has done my pedicure. It's completely red on the sides and it hurts so bad and I got it done yesterday. My gel is so thick and looks really awkward. the nail tech said don't worry I know what I'm doing! And on she goes with 4 coats for gel polish. Wouldn't recommend to anyone who wants nail technicians that are sterile and know what they are doing. read more

I was so excited when I discovered this nail salon AND it's so close to me, which is a bonus! The establishment is super nice and friendly. The salon is very clean and sterile! They don't use the same tools again. They open up a fresh new plastic bag with brand new nail clips nail filer, etc. right in front of you. I always get gel mani and regular pedi. I don't go by one specific nail technician because I know whoever I end up with, I'll end up with satisfied. They have a wide range of colors, which is so convenient and awesome!! read more

3rd time coming here, I came to get my gelX removed, I called earlier in the day and asked them how much it would cost to ONLY remove gelX the front desk lady said $10 (which is how much most places charge) the lady that did my nails was nice, I let her know to ONLY remove the nails, not do anything else, I wanted to do them at home myself. She asked to clean my cuticles, I said sure (knowing this is an extra cost) and when I went to pay it was $22.40, I asked why since all she did was take my nails off and clean my cuticles, they said because "I did a manicure" I showed the lady that I didn't she didnt put anything on my nails, and the lady whom I assume is the manager said I did a manicure and got a massage (which is them putting lotion on your hands for 2 seconds) also didn't ask for that so why would I have to pay for it? I did find out she was a new employee, but not sure why that affects how much they charge me for what she does... read more

I hadn't had acrylics since high school and decided to get a set at this salon. Called to make a last minute appointment and they took me in that same day. My nail tech was Tiffany and she did a great job! Nails came out exactly how I wanted (not too thick or thin). My toes also came out great. Got my acrylics filled a few weeks later by Tiffany and again came out great. I then decided to take a break from acrylics for a bit. A couple of months later I came back for a new set with another nail tech (first available - which was fine with me). The reason I docked a star was because she nicked two separate fingers while filing away at the acrylics. The rest of the experience was pretty miserable as my fingers stung and bled a bit throughout most of the process. Makes me a bit hesitant to return, but I really liked the atmosphere of the salon and I know some days people may have their off days. Might go back and try again. Pic attached is Tiffany's work. Toes still came out great. read more

Wasted 30 min of my life away here.. I called at 4:11 pm asking about their availability for a pedicure, I was told to come in 15 min. I got there a little before 4:26 pm to pick out a shade. I was brought over to a pedicure chair at 4:35 or so.. My feet had been soaking for 20 min.. Looked around and not a single nail tech looking like they were about to finish and get started with mine. Now that's just annoying and disrespectful to the customer to not let us know that it may take awhile. Just be honest about when nail techs are available. My feet are like prunes now, and a clients time is valuable. I was never offered any water, not a single apology or anything. Just sat there looking stupid on my phone for 30 min before I just got up and left. If I would've stayed it would've been at least another 10-15 minutes before someone was available to work on my pedicure. read more

I've given this place a try three times. The gel they apply is too thin for the prices they charge my gel would only last maybe two weeks if I was careful and had multiple comments about how my nails would look like regular polish. Every time I've scheduled an appointment I end up waiting an additional 15- 40 minutes from my appointment time. If you're going to give this place a try get a recommendation on who you should be booking your appointment with. Most of the nail techs there are hit or miss. read more

First time here and I had a wonderful experience! Absolutely call ahead or make an appointment cause this place can fill up in a instant (I saw it happen today lol) I got regular mani pedi with nail art on it and they did a great job! A younger woman did my nail color and Linda did all my shaping and care and I love how my nails turned out. The guy that did my pedi and my callus removal was amazing too and my feet drastically needed it. Was 40$ for all of this. I gave 3 stars because pedicure was done exactly how I asked pedicurist, but my gel manicure was done horrible (it was done by different lady) she file my nails 3 times on the top, and I told her my nails thin don't file a lot. I had Gel-x nails and I was desperate to get rid of them so I booked a regular manicure and gel x removal appointment. The picture is literally the next day of my manicure. The filing was totally off, it was supposed to be square but with very sharp edges (extremely weird) . The nail polish started chipping and coming off the day after and my nails were so fragile I could fold the edges. Unfortunately I was not satisfied with the experience and I won't recommend the place to anyone. read more

Tiffany and Anny are the two younger lady's work in this nail shop. They have bad attitudes and talk to you with no respect.

Have gone twice already and both time I've been very happy with the service. Hannah has done a great job with my nails so far. I would definitely suggest that they upgrade their pedicure chairs a bit as they seem old and give the impression that they are dirty but nothing that is too bad. Overall this place has been great and I will definitely be back :) read more

Love this place. They are so nice I always come here. They are sweet to my children. They do a good job and give me exactly what I want!

Worst customer service coming from the nail technician and the receptionist. The nail technician was being super aggressive through out the entire process and when I asked for the price before hand they said $35 then when they finished they said $50? When I ask for the Total pricing you can't just switch it up after its finished . To top it off I asked for a coffin shape ! When I called back to ask if they can fix it the receptionist had an attitude . It was my second time coming here and never again! I messaged the owner about an appointment for today, August 7th, around 2:45. He responded quickly and I made an appointment at 2:30. In the messages, I asked the price for a full set of acrylics, which he answered "$25 and up". When I get there at 2:30, I asked if I can do an ombré set instead of a color, which the lady at the counter said to communicate to my nail technician. Around 2:45-2:50, the nail technician finally arrives to begin. I tried to tell her (Annie?) what I want (color, shape, length), and she didn't seem to understand a word of what I said which made me nervous for how my nails would turn out. When Annie began, she was extremely aggressive, rough, and careless. My cuticles began bleeding and all she could muster was an apology followed by a laugh. Her electric filer was constantly burning, as if she was filing too close to my cuticles and thinning my real nail excessively. When it was time to pay, Annie turned to the cashier and said "$40", then quickly changed it to "$45". It seemed like it was up to the opinion of the nail technician, and there wasn't really a set price for the service. This was quite a drastic change from the estimate the owner had given me. I understand that powder fill is always more pricey than a regular set, but I was expecting to pay around $35 (which is a reasonable $10 on top of a full set) for the extra customization. Or, it would have been nice if the dramatic price difference was communicated to me from the get-go. I'm all for paying for quality, but Annie's carelessness had caused physical damage to my hands, so at the very least I would have expected some sort of discount - or at least reasonable prices comparable to their competitors. Overall, I paid $40 for the service after the manager spoke to me. It is quite clear that their prices are entirely negotiable, and they try to see how much each customer will pay. I was looking for a nail location near me, but it looks like I need to keep searching. read more

I got over that but what happened that's completely outrageous was her cutting my finger and not only not putting any antiseptic on it she could care less! Found this nail salon on Yelp and decided to go based on other reviewers. It was pretty spacious and seemed clean for the most part. Was seated right away which was a plus so I thought I wasn't going to take too long. Minus the one star it did. I took a picture of what I wanted which was a black tip with glitter under it. The girl I had did a great job on cleaning my cuticles really good. 2 hours later I was finally done. This wasn't a problem for me since I was off and didn't have anything to do. Next time I hope it won't take too long since I'll probably just do a solid color. It was also a bit pricey for what I got. I paid $37.00 that was a bit high for just a gel maicure with a black French tip and glitter. They have a card rewards program that you can accumulate points and use for future visits. read more
