After visiting far too many nail salons, I have finally found my favorite. They are all very sweet and caring, but my go to now is Karen. She is very precise, careful, and gives amazing massages. I love her and will always ask for her from now on. However, not all of their technicians are as detailed focused as Karen - try hunting for the technician who fits your needs because some of them do tend to skimp on massages when they ARE included in spa pedicures. L'Amour is clean, they have a great nail selection, offer water and hot tea, and they're all very hospitable. I am so happy to find such a perfect nail salon so local and hope they continue to stay perfect! I highly recommend talking to your technicians and let them know what you like/don't like - you are paying for it! There have been times where I've gotten terrible work done at other locations but haven't said anything and now I'm absolutely relieved that with Karen and L'Amour's team of techs, I'll get the nails I expect. I was so excited when I discovered this nail salon AND it's so close to me, which is a bonus! The establishment is super nice and friendly. The salon is very clean and sterile! They don't use the same tools again. They open up a fresh new plastic bag with brand new nail clips nail filer, etc. right in front of you. I always get gel mani and regular pedi. I don't go by one specific nail technician because I know whoever I end up with, I'll end up with satisfied. They have a wide range of colors, which is so convenient and awesome!! read more

3rd time coming here, I came to get my gelX removed, I called earlier in the day and asked them how much it would cost to ONLY remove gelX the front desk lady said $10 (which is how much most places charge) the lady that did my nails was nice, I let her know to ONLY remove the nails, not do anything else, I wanted to do them at home myself. She asked to clean my cuticles, I said sure (knowing this is an extra cost) and when I went to pay it was $22.40, I asked why since all she did was take my nails off and clean my cuticles, they said because "I did a manicure" I showed the lady that I didn't she didnt put anything on my nails, and the lady whom I assume is the manager said I did a manicure and got a massage (which is them putting lotion on your hands for 2 seconds) also didn't ask for that so why would I have to pay for it? I did find out she was a new employee, but not sure why that affects how much they charge me for what she does... read more

I hadn't had acrylics since high school and decided to get a set at this salon. Called to make a last minute appointment and they took me in that same day. My nail tech was Tiffany and she did a great job! Nails came out exactly how I wanted (not too thick or thin). My toes also came out great. Got my acrylics filled a few weeks later by Tiffany and again came out great. I then decided to take a break from acrylics for a bit. A couple of months later I came back for a new set with another nail tech (first available - which was fine with me). The reason I docked a star was because she nicked two separate fingers while filing away at the acrylics. The rest of the experience was pretty miserable as my fingers stung and bled a bit throughout most of the process. Makes me a bit hesitant to return, but I really liked the atmosphere of the salon and I know some days people may have their off days. Might go back and try again. Pic attached is Tiffany's work. Wasted 30 min of my life away here.. I called at 4:11 pm asking about their availability for a pedicure, I was told to come in 15 min. I got there a little before 4:26 pm to pick out a shade. I was brought over to a pedicure chair at 4:35 or so.. My feet had been soaking for 20 min.. Looked around and not a single nail tech looking like they were about to finish and get started with mine. Now that's just annoying and disrespectful to the customer to not let us know that it may take awhile. Just be honest about when nail techs are available. My feet are like prunes now, and a clients time is valuable. I was never offered any water, not a single apology or anything. Just sat there looking stupid on my phone for 30 min before I just got up and left. If I would've stayed it would've been at least another 10-15 minutes before someone was available to work on my pedicure. read more

First time here and I had a wonderful experience! Absolutely call ahead or make an appointment cause this place can fill up in a instant (I saw it happen today lol) I got regular mani pedi with nail art on it and they did a great job! A younger woman did my nail color and Linda did all my shaping and care and I love how my nails turned out. The guy that did my pedi and my callus removal was amazing too and my feet drastically needed it. Was 40$ for all of this. I've given this place a try three times. The gel they apply is too thin for the prices they charge my gel would only last maybe two weeks if I was careful and had multiple comments about how my nails would look like regular polish. Every time I've scheduled an appointment I end up waiting an additional 15- 40 minutes from my appointment time. If you're going to give this place a try get a recommendation on who you should be booking your appointment with. Most of the nail techs there are hit or miss. read more

really unsanitary/: all the tools used on me were reused, and my mom got fungus here too like a year ago. i have gone to TJ nails religiously since and the one time i didn't, i ended up getting fungus. Worst customer service coming from the nail technician and the receptionist. The nail technician was being super aggressive through out the entire process and when I asked for the price before hand they said $35 then when they finished they said $50? When I ask for the Total pricing you can't just switch it up after its finished . To top it off I asked for a coffin shape ! I had Gel-x nails and I was desperate to get rid of them so I booked a regular manicure and gel x removal appointment. The picture is literally the next day of my manicure. The filing was totally off, it was supposed to be square but with very sharp edges (extremely weird) . I messaged the owner about an appointment for today, August 7th, around 2:45. He responded quickly and I made an appointment at 2:30. In the messages, I asked the price for a full set of acrylics, which he answered "$25 and up". When I get there at 2:30, I asked if I can do an ombré set instead of a color, which the lady at the counter said to communicate to my nail technician. Around 2:45-2:50, the nail technician finally arrives to begin. I tried to tell her (Annie?) what I want (color, shape, length), and she didn't seem to understand a word of what I said which made me nervous for how my nails would turn out. When Annie began, she was extremely aggressive, rough, and careless. My cuticles began bleeding and all she could muster was an apology followed by a laugh. Her electric filer was constantly burning, as if she was filing too close to my cuticles and thinning my real nail excessively. When it was time to pay, Annie turned to the cashier and said "$40", then quickly changed it to "$45". It seemed like it was up to the opinion of the nail technician, and there wasn't really a set price for the service. This was quite a drastic change from the estimate the owner had given me. I understand that powder fill is always more pricey than a regular set, but I was expecting to pay around $35 (which is a reasonable $10 on top of a full set) for the extra customization. Or, it would have been nice if the dramatic price difference was communicated to me from the get-go. I'm all for paying for quality, but Annie's carelessness had caused physical damage to my hands, so at the very least I would have expected some sort of discount - or at least reasonable prices comparable to their competitors. Overall, I paid $40 for the service after the manager spoke to me. It is quite clear that their prices are entirely negotiable, and they try to see how much each customer will pay. I got over that but what happened that's completely outrageous was her cutting my finger and not only not putting any antiseptic on it she could care less! Found this nail salon on Yelp and decided to go based on other reviewers. It was pretty spacious and seemed clean for the most part. Was seated right away which was a plus so I thought I wasn't going to take too long. Minus the one star it did. I took a picture of what I wanted which was a black tip with glitter under it. The girl I had did a great job on cleaning my cuticles really good. 2 hours later I was finally done. This wasn't a problem for me since I was off and didn't have anything to do. Next time I hope it won't take too long since I'll probably just do a solid color. It was also a bit pricey for what I got. I paid $37.00 that was a bit high for just a gel maicure with a black French tip and glitter. They have a card rewards program that you can accumulate points and use for future visits. read more
