Supper- two sandwiches and Paris Brest
    Andrew D.

A great spot to bosh before an evening event in Midtown. The French sandwiches and pastry always hit the spot without breaking the bank. Service is friendly. I always love the comfortable booths in the back. A great way to escape a summer shower and kill time as well:

This place has casual ambiance but it was very welcoming. The food is excellent. We ordered two sandwiches: the jambon and buerre and turkey Brie sandwich. The cortado coffees were so delicious. The service is so quick. Lunch time is the best time with this restaurant.

Clean space, plenty of seating, great lighting, and modern design. Great selections of French pastries. They were busy, but the line move fast. I ordered a customized matcha latte with oat milk and sprinkle of cinnamon. I wish they would have added some sort of sweetener. Felt like I was just drinking a plain matcha latte. It was okay til I added sugar and honey.

I love a chocolate almond croissant in the morning as a little treat to myself!! This one was a little more doughy and soggy than I'd prefer. I asked the employee to warm it up for me and then she put it in a bag and it was a short walk to my job. Not sure if having it in the bag immediately after warming affected its texture. Regardless of the texture, the flavor is still really good. I love that there's lots of chocolate with every bite and the almonds on top is the perfect touch The cafe itself is very nice and clean. They had a good amount of other items to choose from. It's a nice to place to sit down and work or chat w friends

Needed a quick breakfast and popped in here. It was packed so that was a good sign. We had the French hot dog and a lemon tart both were good. The lemon tart was indeed tart but not uncomfortably so, and the meringue on top was nice and fluffy the pastry part was light and flaky. The fresh OJ was delicious and light pulp. My matcha was good, not very sweet I could have used a sugar packet or one more pump of vanilla. The French hot dog was good and had some type of aioli and cheese on it.

Looked inviting so stopped to see. You scan a QR code to view the menu and order. Expect zero service -- think blasé heroine chic with nuclear level "I don't belong here and too good for you peasants" attitude. Water is literally from the tap and you will be made to feel like the cheap bastard that you are for not buying overpriced bottled water. Then the food -- how do you screw up a simple baguette sandwich?!?! To say that it's bland is an insult to all vanilla colored Camrys and well, the word blend! ‍ ‍ Skip it and grab a falafel from one of the many food trucks instead!!

The pastries are delicious, if you love chocolate croissants I would give the twist a try you can't go wrong! The coffee is good but I wouldn't rate it in my top 3, but it wouldn't stop me to get some next time . The service is great the lines may be long but they move supper fast so don't let that stop you ! The staf is friendly . The ambiance is fine.

    Ham and butter sandwich

Sandwiches here are amazing, and I love the on-the-go feel of this restaurant. I'd highly recommend coming here.

3.5 stars. L'ami Pierre serves tasty fare, but it's pretty pricey considering this is more of a fast casual place. I stopped in for lunch, mainly wanting to try the Le Pierre sandwich (ham and butter in a baguette), and it was a simple and tasty bite that was steep at $11. The perfectly baked baguette was the star. The ham was fine I suppose, but not notable, and I couldn't really taste any butter... kind of blasphemous for a French spot. I enjoyed the three-cheese quiche much more. Since I dined in, the employee warmed it up for me. The crust was buttery and delicious, and the filling was so eggy, cheesy, and satisfying. The mushroom soup was also great, very hearty and flavorful. Both were on the heavier side, which made it easy to save them for a separate meal.

Ah, breakfast! This place confused me, but my wife had it figured out. You walk in, pick what you want from the display case. If they need to heat it, they heat it (like our quiche). If they don't, they hand it to you, go find a seat and enjoy. Counter service is prompt and polite. Lots of eye candy around the restaurant, plants, trees, and other neat to look at things while you nosh down on breakfast. I also grabbed a yogurt parfait and a Raspberry Tart, both of which were quite enjoyable. I also grabbed a banana, which was fresh. Lots of good food to select from, and it just worked nicely. Give it a try.

Wow! An amazing place that needs to be recognized. Just came from Paris a few weeks ago (for the first time) and this place reminds me of our wonderful time. The jambon-beurre (ham + butter) with the croissoint is amazing! Perfectly crunchy outside with fresh soft bread on the inside. Although I'm not a big sandwhich person, you definitely should give this one a try! Also the pan au chocolate reminded me of Paris - wonderfully flakey, buttery, and just thr right amount of sweet. Drop by if you have the chance!

Solid option for coffee in the midtown area. A few tables inside and outside where you can sit and sip.

The strawberry puree added the perfect hint of sweetness to the drink, and they use real strawberries!!! The matcha was sooo creamy, and their matcha quality was really good as well. Really small store, they do have a couple tables inside, but I'd recommend enjoying it while strolling around in the city! Workers were really sweet, and service was pretty quick! Even though I wasn't going to try all three, I like having options to choose from. I was debating between Hinata and Hajime, so I asked the staff which one has a strong flavor and she recommended Hinata. I went with that. It's meant to have a nutty creamy taste. I'm satisfied that I can taste the nutty creaminess. Though I wish it can be bolder and have more umami. Perhaps it has to do with concentration. At the same time, $6.50 is a good price given the location, alternative matcha and drink options nearby, flavor. I also asked how much matcha they use in the medium vs large sizes. Medium is 4g for a 12oz cup. Large is 5g for a 16oz cup. Even though large is a better deal by volume, I got medium because it has a higher concentration of matcha. Since I got a hot latte, my cup came with the lid on it already. I didn't look at it immediately, so no photo available lol. I looked later on and the color looks bright green. The seating is weird where they only have a table with two seats against the window. Then there's a random one chair next to the cashier and another one next to the pickup area. The stools are slightly taller than the counters which made me feel like I was towering over the counter. I don't recommend betting on spending time to hang out there. Just buy it to go.

And I commonly see the upstairs for private events like baby showers, bridal showers, or birthday parties on social media. After dinner with my friends, I was looking for dessert and I was glad to see this location closes relatively late on a weekday night at 11 pm. Upon walking in, I was greeted by a waiter who led us to one of the purple velvet chair booths that was perfect for two people and another waiter brought us a pitcher of water almost immediately. The menu is on a QR code already on the table and we were given ample of time to decide. My friend and I both already knew what we wanted to order. I got the purple Yam Souffle which takes 25 minutes to make and my friend got the fried squid tails. We also got a signature Rose Green Milk Tea to share. The waitress who took our order has great memory and recalled all of our items without writing it down. She also reminded me that I could adjust the ice and sugar levels of my drink which I had completely forgotten and would have got annoyed if my drink came out 100% sweetness. Another thing is that my drink order frequently comes out wrong at other locations so I was glad she got it right! Green tea instead of black tea and with milk instead of without milk. The purple Yam Souffle is just like the other locations. Hot, soft cakey texture balanced with an ice cold red bean Ice-Cream. So delicious! The squid tails on the other hand was not what we expected. It came out burnt and hard. The outer batter was not crispy either. We informed one of the waiters and he brought it back to inform the kitchen staff. We received a new batch that was not as burnt and had more flavoring this time around. However, the squid was still hard and not like the ones we get from other locations with smaller crispier pieces. Overall, it was still a good experience and I love the decorations at this location! This might be my second favorite location after the Flushing one. Would love to come back for brunch or hi-tea. Or regular food options when I have not already eaten dinner. My usual go-tos are the twister fries, Santa Fe chicken rolls, fried salted crispy chicken, and the trio dessert combo. However, this location has a lot more variety! FYI - there are two unisex restrooms in the rear for customers to use with really cute wallpapers too.

We ordered potted rose milk tea to share, Dubai affogato and Brown Sugar Boba Mille Crêpes Cake. We came on a Friday around 4pm. Originally I wanted to try the strawberry matchamisu, however, was told that it sold out. What a bummer. The rose milk tea came with a themed pot and cups which is really cute. The rose fragrant smelled so good and the milk tea also tasted good and has a hint of rose taste. The cake was good, the boba was well cooked, chewy and flavorful! This time there was an unpleasant experience. At first when the Dubai affogato was served, we did not realize that the amount of the coffee was little until we saw another customer's dish that the volume of their coffee looked significantly more than ours. My friend brought it to the waitress attention but the waitress brushed it off and did not acknowledge our concern. When we finished and were about to leave, the same waitress came over and showed us that the container of the coffee was different and hence the volume of the coffee looked different. At this point, we did not care for it anymore. We would have been fine if the staff acknowledged our concern. We thought that maybe using standardized containers for the coffee would avoid this problem. Other than that, the food and drinks were good.
