Just to be clear, this is a Venezuelan restaurant with a small range of very typical Venezuelan dishes (arepas, etc). I had the pabellon which the internet tells me is Venezuela's national dish. It was a large plate of black beans, ropa vieja-type beef, white rice and fried plantain, and it was excellent.
The place attracts mostly Latin Americans it seems. The lady who runs the place was in the back with her partner talking quite loudly the whole time, and talking with a customer who seems to also be a friend and went back in the kitchen at one point.
The music was played from her phone and was interrupted each time she took a call or sent a message.
Good food but some management/operational challenges!
FYI, they are cash-only at the moment. read more
