4 locations in Geneva

One of 4 locations at Vielle-Ville we found cozy fast and delicious. No need to salt it up like we do in USA flavor stands out. The 1/2 chicken for 20 CHF is a bargain. One of us tried the curry which was sweet with a mild after kick. The waitstaff is adorable the ambiance is cozy.

Recently traveling with my partner to Geneva for a two part class. When we arrived for the first trip, a police officer recommended Chez Ma. It was amazing. The food, the service and the ambience was perfect. A quaint, little romantic spot. We love the simple menu. We made sure we went back again two more times when we came back to Geneva for the second part of the class just six weeks later. The gal who helped us at our table was especially friendly and gave us all sorts of recommendations and things to do in Lucerne where we were traveling for a day trip the next day. She looked up the train schedule for us to make sure that we understood which one we needed to take. We even stopped by later in the week when we saw her in the window just to thank her for her help and she was so excited that we did. Not sure if we'll ever be back in Geneva but if we do, we for sure would visit this restaurant again. Our favorite meal by far during our trips.

Fun and cute bistro. The chicken dishes were excellent. However I was disappointed in their chicken noodle soup. Overall the food was good and service was typical.

1/2 Grilled Chicken w/Provençal Style Potatoes and Green Salad (15,90 CHF) + My Cousine Sauce (2,80)

I came here for dinner after arriving to my Airbnb. It's conveniently close by and according to TripAdvisor, it's good and cheap! There's a nice outdoor seating but would require a wait. So we were seated immediately indoors! I'm so glad they have an English menu! The boyfriend and I weren't sure how much food to get because we don't eat very much, and so far we have been given weird looks when we order just one meal. So we asked the waiter and he suggested we get their popular dish and the children's menu dish, which are: 1/2 Grilled Chicken w/Provençal Style Potatoes and Green Salad (15,90 CHF) + My Cousine Sauce (2,80) I don't usually care for chicken or ever order it but since this place is known for it, sure. And it was quite good! Most of it was dark meat and there fore not dry. The flavors are good. As for the potatoes, they are little potato wedges that are freshly made--crispy and warm. The salad--meh. Didn't care for it. Not sure why, but I didn't enjoy them. As for the sauce, it was pretty salty. It's for those who just love sauces and their food extra salty! CHILDREN MENU - 10,50 CHF 1/4 Grilled Chicken w/Provençal Style Potatoes. I recommend adults to get this if you are the anti-salad kind of person. I should have just stuck to this, haha. The 1/4 chicken piece was still a decent size! FLAT WATER - 1 CHP Ah yes they charge for water but 1CHP isn't bad compared to most places that can charge up to around 5CHP. This is a very fast paced restaurant with very efficient and friendly waiters. I had a good time here and we ended up with Abby of leftovers to bring back to our Airbnb. :)

Chicken set, CHF 16.4.

Got recommended from lonely planet, apparently the editors have very different taste buds compared to mine. Food is only three stars. Service 4 stars and price 5 stars for Geneva. This is probably one of the cheapest restaurant meals you can get in Geneva. It is definitely not the healthiest option: salads with too much sauce, fried potato wedges, all the unnecessary protein from the chicken. I am not a potato fan so I will pass reviewing the potato wedges, they are not bad, and portions are huge. The chicken looks delicious, but was overly salted on the skin and is too bland inside. It was also too dry for me. Service is quick and attentive. The juice I got was very delicious. Would recommend to people who like dry meat and fried potato.

What!?! a Full meal for under $20 a person in Geneva!?! Impossible! Ohhh, mais bien sur, it can happen! Ok, so it's not an authentic Swiss food or anything, but the name speaks for itself, it means at my cousin's house, so you'll expect simple, yet filling food. We got a salad, half of chicken per person, beer, and fries for 14 Swiss francs, it's a deal. We had people walk by and say "chicken and french fries?!?!" but it's actually really good. The chicken is really well cooked and the fries were crispy and soft on the inside, delicious. I really enjoyed the salad too. For dessert, my husband got the mini cafe with chocolate muffin and creme brulee. My daughter got the strawberry ice cream, which was probably the best she'll ever eat, because it was just delicious, even I couldn't stop. It lost a star because the service isn't great, the waiter there didn't seem interested in serving us and we waited awhile for a table, which we knew would happen. But there were people there just smoking, not even eating anymore, occupying tables. I know it's Europe and people take their time before leaving a restaurant, but this place was in a rush to get rid of us but had no problem keeping the other people who ordered NOTHING around. Fine with me, I got my meal so I don't care about anything else.

Half chicken with chicken gravy

Came by for lunch on Sunday and there was not wait. My friend and I both ordered the half chicken which was an excellent dish. The chicken gravy is a must have since it adds so much flavor. Dip the chicken and fries in gravy for maximum tastiness. Also ordered a shandy which is a mix of lemonade and beer. It was very refreshing and paired well with the meal. Service was fast and efficient. Dish doesn't cost too much either which is a huge plus.

1/2 roasted chicken with frites and salad

We had the half chicken, frites, and salad 14 CHF special which is a great deal, especially in Switzerland. We added two servings of sauce, but one serving would have been plenty for two people. The chocolate fondant dessert was very nice. The outdoor seating area was pleasant until the very aggressive little birds kept trying to land on our table and get some food.

Lunch is a very busy time here.

Superb roasted chicken enjoyed in an intimate setting across from the palais du Justice. Attentive and friendly service from the initial greeting until the bill. Arriving in the heat of the lunch hour rush or with more than two people, one should be prepared to wait 15-20 minutes. Once seated, good food comes quickly so you can be fine in an hour if your have time constraints. A small but thoughtful wine and beer list too.

Colorful place. More importantly, the aromas wafting through from the kitchen are wonderful!

My wife ordered the 1/2 chicken and I ordered the Thai chicken salad. The freshness of the salad was great. Very warm day and I was looking for something different. Thai chicken salad with tomatoes, Thai spicy sauce, a variety of lettuces & noodles. Crisp and crunchy and lots of chicken. Ask for more of the spicy sauce. Having tried a bit of wife's 1/2 chicken, I can say she got the better dish. If you order the 1/2 chicken you can not go wrong. Excellent flavor and plenty of food.

Chocolate cake. Maybe should have ice cream with it?

It had chicken, lamb, kofta with a bit of labne, hummus, and a salad of lettuce, tomato and onion. The tabouli was beautiful and it also eaten almost completely before we got a picture. All of the food was some of the best Lebanese food we have had. Service was great. The atmosphere was hopping with lots of locals enjoying their Sunday lunch. No reservations taken. The place is large so if there is a wait it won't take long. Highly recommend.

Try their muesli rolls. My favorite is the teeny tiny muesli-fruit-nut-roll with cooked pears and brie (5.60 francs). Enjoy their curry chicken, apple, and sprouts on whole grain-nut bread. Tuna with olives is pretty good, too. High quality, open Sundays, and friendly service.

I passed by greens, and the warm quiches were calling my name. I had been eyeing these quiches for several days now, and my mouth was curious to try them. They were not typical Swiss looking quiches, these were baked in puffy crust, and looked full of ingredients vs. egg. They are smaller- about the size of your hand. Needless to say, I stopped and quickly purchased the toasty warm quiche. My taste buds were definitely not disappointed. The quiche was exactly what I was hoping for, not heavy with egg, but light and fluffy. The puffy crust was a great combination. Definitely good. No wonder I see people stopping by every evening and picking these up. There are always very few left. These brought my review up a star. I still have yet to try the yummy looking salads there.
