Our last night in Geneva we found this cute little restaurant around the corner from our Airbnb. Coming from California we know good Mexican food. This was much better than our expectations of Mexican food in Geneva. Our party of four enjoyed nachos, quesadillas (birria), chicken, fish and birria tacos and Frijoles. We were quite surprised. Fish Tacos were voted our favorite. Our waitress Gloria was very friendly and we had nice conversations. I would recommend this restaurant and hope someday to return.

The food is amazing and worth the wait -- Really cool atmosphere and great for a family. Make reservations before you go as there is only a bar area to eat at without them. Very busy and staff is as helpful as they can be with the place packed.

I really miss street food and tacos readily available. El Catrin's tacos are good and they hit the spot if you are craving tacos. They're definitely Geneva pricing and around 7 CHF per taco. The horchata is delicious.

What a random find on the way back to my hotel! I'm in Geneva for a conference and stumbled upon this hidden gem. I will definitely be back before I leave and encourage my colleagues to try it out. So glad I tried this out, it won't disappoint!

Love at first bite. It's what Geneva has been needing for years.. REAL Mexican. We ordered a combo platter for 2 so we could try a bit of everything. The guacamole was wonderful. Not too chunky. Chips..perfect A small tasty salad. A bread with refried beans cheese pico de gallo ..and 4 tacos of our choice..tinga, pibil, and poblano. All wonderful. Truly enjoyed my meal. The place is small so reserve ahead! Great servers. ..delish margarita too!

It offers Mexican cuisine with a French spirit. Therefore, it is really hard to write that it was a satisfactory Mexican experience. The best thing is the friendliness of the people, which is hard to find in many Swiss restos. Guacomole was very refreshing yet the quesadillas were the least satisfactory which I have ever eaten in any Mexican restaurant around the world. Indeed, the menu is very limited in terms of main dishes (can't really state children friendly) and a bit complex to process for first timers. Interestingly, they are usually fully booked, which I'd attribute to the hunger of the international community in GVA to eat sth different beyond every day Swiss choices.

That was all well and good, but apparently it's not all that easy to find an authentic Mexican restaurant in Geneva :-( All the food we ordered tasted like something that had been frozen in China then shipped to Switzerland and heated for serving in a microwave. Everything totally lacked any of the subtle flavors I've often enjoyed when eating in real Mexican restaurants. We've learned our lesson - next time we want a change of pace while dining in Geneva, perhaps we'll see about some Italian food.

Oh my lord ... This isn't Mexican, or Tex-Mex, or anything recognizable. Taco Bell is more…read moreauthentic. Don't get me wrong -- I wasn't really expecting a lot -- after all, this is Europe. On top of that, this is Geneva Switzerland, which is not known for any sort of good food at fair prices. Even so, I was amazed how UN-Mexican this food was. I should have taken a clue when we walked by the kitchen and the ENTIRE staff was Middle Eastern. First the good news -- it tasted reasonably well. No complaints actually (except for the chips - but more on that later) Tortilla chips were not very good at all. I'm not even sure they had corn in them. Thickest chips I've ever had. Instead of bearing any sort of yellow color, they were brown. Not sure if they were over cooked, made from some brown European corn strain or just some fried pita quartered to look like chips. Bottom line -- avoid the chips. Yuck. Salsa isn't much better. Not sure what it was, actually. I asked for some 'hot sauce" on the side, so I could jazz the salsa up a bit and they brought out Jalapenos. I was actually impressed they had jalapenos! If you're looking for cheap eats in Geneva, you don't have a lot of choices. Sure, go to Manana. It's really not awful. Glad I went, but just DON'T EXPECT MEXICAN!
