We each got the combo platter that allowed us to try multiple meats and sides, and I have to say that I was extremely impressed with the meat. Especially the brisket, a particular favorite of mine when it comes to BBQ. The mac and cheese was a solid side, but the coleslaw was underwhelming. As Americans, yes, we expect large portions. I've been to Europe often enough to manage those expectations pretty well, so I was also pleased when we each reached a comfortable stopping point and were able to get takeaway boxes for our leftovers. I know it's traditionally trés gauche to take leftovers from French restaurants, but I was happy to see that the trend is catching on. After all, not wasting food is a good thing, is it not? We carried those leftovers all the way to Amsterdam the next day--that's how much we wanted to finish them. We opted to sit in the terrace seating that has a suspended plank for a table so that we could people watch Rue St. Denis, a busy street in this arrondissement. It's in a great neighborhood that was vibrant and full of life, even in the wake of the pandemic. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone who would like to try good Texas style BBQ in the middle of Paris.

Since we are from Texas we had low expectations but we were wrong. Freddy's BBQ Serves excellent BBQ THAT WOULD COMPETE WITH ANY IN Texas Or Tennessee! The brisket was perfectly smoked, tender and juicy! The pulled pork was fantastic and the ribs were solid! We had all the sides and loved them The two pitmasters are trained and from Texas and Oklahoma So you know they know what real BBQ is!

We stumbled upon this cozy restaurant after striking out at the nearby Pink Mamma (we went an hour…read moreand a half before closing and they were fully booked for tables of two!). We're glad that we ended up eating here. The meal was delicious and reasonably priced, and the service was friendly (tres gentil) and took mercy on our meager French skills by conversing with us mostly in English. The steak was superb, although I'd caution American visitors that medium rare in France (and in Europe more generally) tends to be on the rare side. The fries were equally scrumptious, and it's harder to pull off a good crisp on a relatively thick-cut potato. Finally, my wife's ribs were very good, and were more refined than is typical of American-style barbecue, which looks a little messier and has a smokier flavor. Great place for dinner before seeing a show at the nearby Moulin Rouge!

After a brief and incredibly lucky search this popped up, Flesh, and with an opening for 8pm. Good luck trying to score a steak dinner in Manhattan on a Saturday night with zero reservations. That aside, we were sitting in the oldest bar in Europe and confirmed our reservation not knowing what we were getting into with very little homework done on the place. After a couple of drinks and wandering through Paris we grabbed a light lunch hoping tonight's dinner was just what we were looking for. A short Uber ride through some very narrow streets we arrived on a one way street that seemed to be the up and coming neighborhood for food and drinks. Once inside we were not seated in the best spot but to their credit this place was tiny, as most hole in the wall restaurants are in this city. After a short wait drinks were served and our orders taken. The place seemed to me to be a sort of upscale BBQ joint, with of course good beers and mixed drinks along with wine. The staff were young and energetic and on point with any questions or requests. Keep this is mind, your in Paris so there really isn't such a thing as a cheap meal, but if you find the right place it's worth every dollar. Anyway my girl and I both ordered steaks with taco starters and delicious sides. All told $175 for one app, two entrees and four drinks. Yes this was probably the most expensive upscale BBQ place we've been to, but both left with a belly full of very yummy food. Thank you to the staff and cooks for a last meal in Paris.
