So they removed my initial review because of lack of accountability on Google so I'm here. I…read moreencourage deep reflection without a defensive response if the owner and stylist want to provide a response as to why there was a lack of an apology to ripping out my earring and making me bleed So I gave this salon TWO tries and assumed the first time was just a bad experience and both times I had the same hair stylist. The first time, this woman was NOT ATTENTIVE AT ALL. As she was working with my layers and bangs/combing through them she yanked hard and pulled out my helix piercing CLEAN THROUGH AND I WAS BLEEDING. It was more of the fact that she told me "you should've told me you had earrings" which was just her trying to make me accountable for her not paying attention. There was a moment of silence and absolutely NO APOLOGY was given to me. The two workers in the salon were just silent and rummaging through what to do because she gave me back my earring with my blood on it and for those who have cartilage piercings, they are expensive and take a long time to heal. She ripped it through my DAMN EAR that's how hard she combed through it. I am young and have social anxiety so I was trying so hard to be understanding in the moment but she finished up and the lady at the front desk gave me a tiny bag to put my earring in. But there was ultimately no apology...just the hair stylist saying she's usually so attentive with her customer's earrings (which counters when she said it should've been my responsibility to tell HER that I had them..well if she was so attentive she should've seen them)... When I paid I think I should've gotten a discount because...I left the salon bleeding...AND THEN THE FRONT DESK LADY had the audacity to ask FOR A TIP...I did my best to see past it and knew the haircut was decent so I still left one. Yet I left with no apology and the hair stylist not offering to pay for the earring to be put back in when she knew I was gonna go to a piercing salon nearby to see what the damage was. It was just so frustrating trying to be calm when no one wanted to take accountability. The second time I came in, I wanted to give it a second chance because it was just a trim to me but when I was assigned the same stylist, I began having an anxiety attack and I was unsure if she remembered me but this time I pointed out that I had earrings and braced myself. This time my ears were safe but because I asked for face framing layers....THIS BOTCHED MY BANGS DISGUSTINGLY. She took out such a huge chunk and the bangs didn't even frame my face. It was just 2 BLOCKS NEXT TO MY FACE. Just two blocks sitting next to my face that when I finished I immediately contacted another hair salon to take me in and to fix it. The new stylist was so kind to me and he was much more attentive and straight up said "these are not face framing..I'll fix it for you because the past stylist took out so much. I'm gonna trim a new section so you can have face framing bangs but I will leave the longer pieces she cut out so they can grow and begin blending with the back" From the photos, you can see MY BLOOD on my fingers with the front desk sign in the background, the second photo is the very stylist holding up my hair while I tried to see the damage, and in the third photo was the second time I went and had my bangs ruined. To the dear stylist: If you were so attentive to earrings why did you flip it around and victim blame me by saying I should've told you? I think overall it speaks volumes that you guys had my review deleted and want to avoid it still. Guess things never change

I've had lashes before and wasn't super thrilled with the application or how long they held up, so I did extensive research to find the best possible place this time around. Cherise and I discussed what length of lashes I'd like, and how dramatic I'd like them to be and we got down to business. As Yelp had been featuring a deal for $60 for $100 I decided to go for the second longest lash extension option, which I believe was marketed as $349 (for the synthetic Xtreme lashes). Maybe pricier than your $60 Ktown job, but definitely worth the value. She laid me down on her super comfy massage bed and set to work (after applying a cooling undereye strip to hold down my bottom lashes and removing my makeup). During the middle of the application I had to use the bathroom, and she told me to check out the lashes while I was there to see if I wanted them any longer or curlier. I did want a little more length and drama, so she added longer lashes for the last half. These lashes have lasted over 4 weeks and look INCREDIBLE. They are so natural looking and have held up through a week trip to Miami (during which I swam in the ocean, pool, went on a super windy airboat ride in the everglades, etc) and then back at home through excessive heat, more beach trips, and daily super sweaty work outs. I also haven't felt the need to use mascara or strip lashes since I've gotten these extensions applied. I will DEFINITELY be coming back for refills, great conversation, and laughter. Cherise is the best. Best value, best environment, best lashes.

Review by Dalia, Jennifer, and James: Revere, MA…read more Written by Dalia Being at First Lash & Brows is, for me and my Mom and husband, like the feeling of "going home." I adore Lily (the owner), Daniela, Dulce, and the rest of the beauty specialists and staff members who work there. Also, the work that they do there is so professional and, quite frankly, the results are completely phenomenal (and better than at ANY other spa I have EVER been to, including for eyebrow services (wax, shape and tint, & lamination) and eyelashes (including lash extensions and also eyelash "lift, curl and tint," which is MY personal favorite service for my eyelashes b/c Lily and Daniela make my eyelashes look long, dark like my hair, and simply stunning for up to 3 months, during which time I don't need to do anything to take care of them!) And don't even get me started on the FACIALS by DULCE and the MAKE-UP TATTOOING by LILY! Firstly, the facials are the best ones Mom and I have ever had. The "platinum facial" is my favorite. It is a hydrofacial with lymphatic drainage--it cleans the skin extremely deeply ( removing all dead skin), hydrates more than you could ever get with a regular facial, and includes a soft/gentle chemical peel to brighten the skin and remove dark spots. And best of all, this facial removes puffiness and swelling from the face! I could not believe how much less swollen my face was (after only the FIRST Platinum Facial with Dulce). First Lash also offers "express facials" if you're in a hurry, and yesterday I had a dermaplaning facial, which was wonderful! I looked and felt like a completely different woman than the one who had arrived at First Lash earlier that day. Lily did my eyebrows yesterday as usual. I had a "wax, shape and tint," AND Lily also did my eyelashes for me (a "lift, curl, and tint") & she did an absolutely INCREDIBLE JOB. And her room is such a beautiful and comfy space. She even covered me up with a cozy blanket when she saw that I was feeling cold. She notices every last detail and that makes each person's experience tailored, personalized, and customized based on his/her needs. This is not a "one-size-fits-all" place-- the OPPOSITE. You will feel special from the moment you walk through the doors at First Lash & Brows. Guaranteed. I won't let anyone else touch my eyebrows except for Lily! Dulce does my Mom's eyebrows, and she loves the way Dulce does her eyebrows. You have the flexibility as a customer of having the person you want doing your services! And Daniela does my eyelashes beautifully too, just like Lily does! You cannot go wrong with ANY of the specialists who work at First Lash, actually. They are so well-trained and so excellent at what they do. Lily, the owner, has also spent so much time and energy making First Lash & Brow an oasis of peace, care, and comfort. I would stay there all day if I could-- every day!--simply because of the serene atmosphere and comforting touches. All of that comes from Lily, who has taken her business to the next level, that's for sure. Lily specializes especially in eye make-up tattooing. She tattooed my eyeliner on 3 years ago and it looks spectacular to this very day. It looks exactly the same as if she had just done it yesterday. Lily also did my "fairy lips" 3 years ago, which is a lipstick/lipliner tattoo. Lily helped me to choose the right color for my skin tone, and to this day (3 years later), when I wake up in the morning my lips have that gorgeous natural pinkish color that makes me look (along with my eyeliner!) awake and "ready to go"-- even before I get out of bed to wash my face! I did not do the tattoo-ing on my lips and eye-liner until I was 46 years old, and I wish I had done it sooner. It makes me look younger and more beautiful than ever. All of the services that First Lash provide are done so very professionally and to perfection. And since so few things in life are perfect, it amazes me at how "perfect" Lily (the owner) and her staff, especially Daniele and Dulce, make their customers LOOK and FEEL when they leave their doors to come home. I feel like a princess after my various treatments there! First Lash & Brows has a gorgeous waiting room, too! My husband commented on that just yesterday. They have water bottles, soda, etc. in the fridge, and snacks for you to nibble on, too, should you suddenly have a craving for that! First Lash & Brows also does men's facials. My husband James has had one with Dulce and loved it. In fact, he wants to have a facial again the next time we go there (in March!) Once you start going there for all of your skin care needs, you will never want to go anywhere else. Lily and her staff are extremely knowledgeable about skin care and sell various products there as well. The last products I picked up were an "eyelash cleanser," which I just love; as well as a moisturizing sunscreen. Both were very high quality products. Go! ENJOY!
