After failed attempts at three other highly rated nail salons on Yelp in one day (one no longer in…read morebusiness and the other two only take appointments), I decided to go back to Royal Nails. I had been here once before, and I liked it, but yelp reviews aren't great and it's a bit far for me personally. However, this may be my go-to spot from now on. I don't know a lot about nails or pedicures, but I thought they did a great job: pedicure options are good, prices are reasonable, and I especially appreciate that they don't pressure you to pick the most expensive package or make you feel awkward about how much you've tipped. I've gotten Anna (or maybe it was Hannah..) both times and she is the sweetest, and cutest little old lady. They offer you water or soda (idk of soda is an additional cost, but water isn't) Although this may be controversial, I also really appreciate that everyone gets to work and isn't chatting away and making you feel awkward like they're talking about or making fun of you. Update: I've been here 3 times now and on my most recent visit, I did not get to ask for Anna and I was quite disappointed in the lady who helped me. She just kept moving and pushing my feet around instead of just asking me to move them up or down (yes, she spoke English). It seems she was annoyed from the start. I will definitely not stay if Anna is not available.
