My much-abused summer feet look a million times better, both my toes and my finger nails are well-shaped according to my request and with a perfect paint job. She did a great job cleaning up my neglected hands (I get pedicures once or twice a year but hardly ever manicures, and I'm hard on my hands). Also, the area around my nail-beds have always seemed worse after a manicure; I seem to get more hangnails, or the cuticle cracks, or something, generally starting the day after. But so far my hands just continue to look like healthier and cleaner versions of their usual selves, maybe because she was pretty gentle about clearing dead skin? Oh, as a huge bonus, her massage was excellent! The salon is super clean with good hygiene observed (gloves for pedicures, etc). The massage chair I had for the pedicure was fabulous and newer. Prices were also so reasonable - $40 for a mani/pedi that had me in the salon for about an hour and half. I know they have special deals on Tuesdays and Wednesdays but honestly their regular rates are tempting enough. He probably didn't have the strength or mobility to cut those talons himself. He just wanted them cut, I suspect he didn't even know what a regular pedicure. The first tech assigned to him was not happy with her assignment and was short tempered with him. He almost left after he weak attempt at a trim. But then... a kind woman who said that her sister was the owner. She was very nice and patient with the man and insisted that she herself do a better job. It was very endearing to watch. Before, only one clinician worked on you the entire time doing your nails and massage. This made it very easy to pay and tip. Now, one person does most of your pedi, but then another clinician comes over and gives you a foot / leg massage, along with 2 minutes on the neck area. It was great, but I brought enough cash tip for one clinician. So this leaves me with two choices - split the tip between the two clinicians so that each one gets less money, or bring double next time (too much) on top of the spa pedi price. I don't really like either option and it was much easier and more reasonable before. Also, my friend's pedi chipped on the very next day. I will probably continue to get pedis at this salon and would recommend, but just be aware of the tip situation.
