I'm impressed. I called mid-day Friday and Kal was out on Saturday. They quoted me a 12-2 pm window and he was at the property by 1 pm. He inspected my washing machine, explained the issue, and gave me a quick fix--all for the $99.95 diagnostic fee. My MayTag cloths dryer would no longer generate heat to dry the cloths. I called Kal on a Saturday morning right before Xmas which was on a Monday this year. he came on Tuesday immediately after the holiday and diagnosed my problem. the heat element had expired. he replaced that as well as the thermostats and cleaned and lubricated the machine. I owe Kal a review for everything he's done for my home. Just four days after moving into our new home, it was clear the refrigerator wasn't as cold as it should be. My tenant said the washer was overflowing and KZ Express came to the rescue. I called, left a message, and got a return call within the hour. Great! Kal went to the property the next day. Checked out the washer and informed the tenant that it was due to the drain not being able to handle the large amount of water. Despite me informing Kal to not touch the dryer and that my electrician was going to diagnose, he went ahead and checked it out. His diagnosis was that the thermostat wires were touching. Oh well, at least my electrician didn't come out! A few hours later I get 2 invoice charges: $75 washer fee and a $295 thermostat replacement charge. Definitely caught me by surprise, so I asked for a discount and he comp'd the $75 fee. Yay! No complaints from the tenant regarding install. Tenant happy = satisfied landlord. Overall, very friendly and nice guy. I'd do business with him again. Things that could use improvement: 1. 30 day labor warranty. I figured 90 day labor warranty would have been better. 2. Touching the dryer even though I told him not to touch it. After researching on home advisor, the average thermostat replacement costs about $195. Ouch ... 3. After confirming a text message that I was going to pay his invoice, I get a phone call 2 hours later following up regarding the status of paying the bill. I get it, we all want to get paid but I think give me at least till the end of the day. read more

I had a very amazing, seamless, and professional experience with KZ Express. I had an oven igniter go out on Sunday evening; sent out my quote via Yelp to KZ Express and heard back from Kal, owner of KZ Express that same night. By afternoon the next day, Kal was at my house to look at my oven and luckily enough, he actually had the replacement part on him at the time, so once I agreed to the price + installation, he knocked out the replacement & install right away. Kal was very professional throughout the visit and even showed me the store price of the replacement part before beginning the work. In addition, my fridge's ice maker was out and instead of charging me for an additional job and because the fix would be simple, he actually showed me how to do the job myself which included where to buy the spare part. Kal seemed really great when I talked with him on the phone, but he never showed up for our service and did not respond to my text when I asked him if he was still able to make it over to look at our fridge that day. I understand that things come up or jobs take longer than expected, but some kind of notice or just a quick response back would have been nice so we could have tried to find someone else that day. I will also add that he was going to try to come out to our house a couple days prior (on a Saturday), but he wasn't able to make it over before we had to leave for the evening. I don't fault him for that and do appreciate that he was going to fit us in. It is really just the lack of communication that was an issue. read more

It's pretty easy to spot fake reviews from friends and owners but these seemed real so I tried the Yelp message service for the thirst time. It worked like a charm. Kal came right out with the right parts and replaced the dishwasher rack rollers in 1 trip. Amazing service. Then he pulled out the filter and showed us how easy it it to clean. Amazing. Khalid Zallito (Kal) is quite efficient when it comes to scheduling appointments, , being prompt and following up with phone calls. I give him high marks in those areas. My issue has to do with paying for a service that I didn't receive. I had two issues with my stack washer/dryer. One was a belt which needed to be be replaced and the other was a noise from the dryer. After addressing these issues, the belt was replaced and there was no noise when he left the house. The next day however, my tenant complained of the same noise and of course I contacted him. The warranty allowed for 30 days on labor and a year on parts. He agreed to return to see what was going on but said he would charge me. What? I paid him $235.54 on February 27th for the work which he performed. The work is still under warranty and I think he should come back at no cost. read more

I had them come out to diagnose what I already knew was the drain pump on my washing machine. They told me they had to send a tech out for $99.99 but if you decide to call them back for repair they will deduct the already paid service call of $99.99 from the bill. I called back within 2 weeks and after speaking to a couple diff people they informed me the labor and parts are full price they won't deduct the $99.99 since I waited a month??? FALSE! It hasn't even been 2 weeks to which he then checked and being caught he changed the story to we only guarantee our labor for 30 days. I said what does that have to do with applying the service call. He attempted to talk circles around me and claimed it was a miscommunication and I would have to pay full price plus the already paid 99.99 for an issue I had already diagnosed!
