Walking in and being brought to our private enclosed table room, I immediately missed being in Japan. A great ambience especially for a chain restaurant! More importantly, the food. The curry omurice tonkatsu was really good especially with the side seasonings at our table like the sauerkraut pepper. Curry sauce was authentic to Japanese curry and not too salty. Squid legs were excellent but wish it came with more instead of the zucchini tempura. The ramen was good too. And we liked the amazing lemonade. Nice place for lunch. We have been to this restaurant chain in multiple locations. (Even in multiple states). We have never had any negative experience at any of the locations; we consistently get good service. I love the egg over fried rice; they do a great presentation by cutting the egg in front of you, opening it, and putting sauce over it. My barber and his wife told me about this Ramen shop and asked me to go give it a try. My friends and I were in the area because we had recently just stopped by Bell works. The staff: The staff here are friendly and give you that welcoming feeling when you come into the restaurant. They are patient and willing to suggest menu items for first timers. Ambience: The place is clean with no garbage or debris on the tables, chairs, counters, or on the floors. The bathroom is also very clean and not messy. Popcorn Chicken: This was good, but I think it is missing a little flavor to it. Maybe try adding some kind of seasoning to give it that extra kick in the taste buds. Yakitori Plate: This appetizer was cooked to perfection. The pork was delicious with the right amount of taste. The cucumbers were on point as well. The beef was the best tasting one by far. I feel gaslit by these reviews LOL. Guys, I really tried to like this place and even dined here twice to give it a 2nd chance. I always try to start with the good when writing a sad review. The ambiance is really nice and they are relatively accommodating if you want to be seated in a booth. Now for the bad and the ugly. The food was really dissapointing. The first time I dined here, I ordered the pork don and my husband ordered the miso ramen. The food came out suspiciously quick, and as suspected, it was not hot. The presentation for everything was beautiful, but the flavor was pretty standard and the temperature was luke warm. On my second visit, I wanted to try the omurice. However, it's a combo meal that comes with a dessert. When I asked if I could order the entreé alone, they wouldn't accommodate this request. They said I can pay for the entreé at the combo price point which I thought was so strange. They offer all the ramen a la carte, so why not the rice dishes too? I ended up ordering the chicken burger which was a total catfish. The sparse mole hill of "japanese fries" was amusing. Call me a hater, but Kyuramen is mid at best :( read more

We've had Kyuramen down in Cherry Hill, NJ and were so excited to learn that they opened one up closer to us. I love that they have both the private booth seating and the honeycomb seating. Unfortunately, it was crowded when we went on Sunday for lunch so we got a regular table. My husband and I always get the combo meal that comes with an appetizer, ramen, and dessert. However, we felt a little daring today and decided t get the yakitori platter as well. We shouldn't have because we were so full and had to take a lot of stuff home. I have also loved Kyuramen as the service is good, the food always comes out really fast (I mean like within 5 minutes of ordering fast), and everything I've ever tried was flavorful and cooked excellently. The Old Bridge location held up to these standards. I find that most of the time with chain restaurants consistency is very hard to achieve. Like I may order the same dish or item at two locations but it comes out vastly different. But I must say Kyuramen has nailed consistency, flavor, and service. New spot alert!! This place is absolutely gorgeous, seriously, such a vibe. I was excited when I saw they offer bubble tea and ramen... what more can you ask for? Unfortunately, the food fell a bit short for me. The service was amazing, they have a button at all the booths to call for your waiter (loved that concept). I started with their passion fruit green tea with bubble and that was good. As for the food I started with the crispy sweet chili wings and the flavor didn't make it into the meat. I will say the portion is a little deceiving; the bowl makes it look like there's more in there than there actually is. I'd suggest adding more noodles because it just wasn't enough. We've had Kyuramen in NYC before and were very excited to hear one opened up in my own town! Located in The Shopppes at Old Bridge, the place is very spacious and hosts their iconic honeycomb seating. Each booth comes with help buttons on the side to call your servers at any time. The servers were fantastic and very attentative, and the food was delicious. The edamame was fantastic and a great portion for its price. The ramen was definitely one of the better places anywhere near Old Bridge! Can't wait to try more dishes here. Great service, the moment we got there we were lucky to be able to sit into the honeycomb shape tables, we know now we will need to reserved a table if we plan to come back a later time. The decor all around the restaurant is pretty and oriental themed. The food presentation is impressive, but when it came down to the food. It was good, my ramen dish was a bit overpowering with the fish smell but the I did try the curry ramen and I do recommend that dish, it was excellent. My husband and I have been wanting to try this place out. I try not to expect. When you walk in you notice the hive wall, then the huge tree in the middle, and then the decor. It was me first time here, whole it was my wife's second time. The decor was nice. The Chairs were comfortable enough and the tables were spacious enough for our party of four. The servers were attentive and friendly. However, we didn't take knew who our server actually was because different people took our orders throughout our time there. The food was good. My wife found them too salty (and she usually likes hers food on the saltier side). That was surprising for me. I didn't find mine that salty, it was just enough. It's the food all hyped up to be? Not really. The ramen is good. I would put it slightly above Rai Rai Ramen in East Brunswick, just slightly. Kyuramen had better desserts, though. However, the matcha pudding was so-so. I give my thanks to my husband, who actually bookmarked Kyuramen, but it was for the one in Cherry Hill, NJ. When we heard it opened up in the Shoppes at Old Bridge, we thought, It's right near Costco, where we shop, so let's go! Upon arriving, we noted how busy it was. We hit the all-time lunch crowd. To the left, there is a space where you type your name, and they will call you when a table is available. This gave us plenty of time to absorb the clean and fun aesthetics of the place. There is a huge wooden tree in the middle of the restaurant where you have access to wooden thin blocks and markers. You can write, draw, or add stickers if you so desire, and afterwards, you use a long stick to hang up your block on the tree. Then there are the unique seatings that are in honeycombs. We were lucky as we were seated in one. It gave us a more cozy and more intimate feeling as we dined. Now onto what we really came for...the food! Upon perusal, we saw many great deals, and they are connected to the boba shop next door, called TBaar. Here's what we ordered: - Pan Fried Gyoza Dumplings - 3.5/5 stars. The dumplings were a little soggy, and while the bottom was beautifully crisped up, the rest was not. - Honeycomb Platter - 4.5/5 stars. They had an adorable arrangement of street food snacks on a honeycomb platter, and they were all delicious! The dishes included Chili Garlic Edamame, Popcorn Chicken, Shrimp Tempura, Takoyaki (2pcs), and Agedashi Tofu. I must say, when I was in Japan, these dishes were spot on! Very impressed! The only thing I docked them for was the popcorn chicken being overly salty, with no other complexity. I recall that in Japan, their popcorn chicken was salty and savory. I would like to add that their Takoyaki Octopus Balls were outstanding! Big chunks of octopus were inside, and the accompanying sauce was the perfect pairing. I had that as my entrée. While it is under the appetizer selection, it is extremely filling. - Classic Japanese Omurice - 5/5 stars. The presentation was a showstopper in itself, but the taste brought my husband right back to Japan. Ah, the memories, which is what food should evoke in all of us. The sauce was savory and full of umami flavor. Sublime! - Tokyo Tonkotsu Shoyu Ramen - 5/5 stars. My husband was supposed to share that with me, but he accidentally ate most of it. Luckily, I was able to have a little bit and agreed with his assessment. It was so warming to the heart and had a great broth. The bowl boasted of 3 nicely sliced pork bellies that were mouth-watering. - Matcha pudding with red beans - 5/5 stars. It is a thick, rich, and full-bodied dessert. The most flavorful of the two desserts. It came with condensed milk to make the matcha pudding even richer, and my husband could not get enough of it. - Cherry Blossom Jelly - 5/5 stars. It is the lightest, and the flavor profile is the brightest. My perfect ending for a very flavorful and satisfying meal. - Taro Milk Tea - 5/5 stars. This drink was heavenly! I requested 0% sugar. The natural sugar from the milk and the taro itself was sweet enough, and if you close your eyes, it tastes like vanilla. It is not starchy and just perfect when you are eating anything salty, as it balances the sodium nicely. We were exceptionally lucky as we had Jacky C as our highly attentive server. He went out of his way to ensure everything was exceptional. Considering the heavy trays he had to carry up the stairs and the constant bustling, he was constantly friendly, always ensuring we had our hot tea cups filled, and took time to chat with us, debunking my thoughts of the establishment having someone's o baa san and o jii san in the back preparing all the meals. This new Kyuramen location is so close to my work, so I'm excited that they opened up here! I've only ever been to the one in Brooklyn near The Ripped Bodice and I love that one. I ordered the Classic Combo A (Tokyo Tonkotsu Shoyu Ramen with a side of Steamed Pork Bao Bun and Matcha Pudding w. Red Bean) + Thai Iced Tea. The ramen, matcha pudding, and Thai iced tea were delicious as always. Ramen was rich and flavorful with a great noodle texture, matcha pudding was light and not too sweet, and Thai iced tea was bold and milky. The pork in the bao bun was disappointing here, it was chewy and cold - not like the "melt in your mouth" texture that the Brooklyn location offers. The most disappointing part of my experience was the service. I came at 4:45pm on a Friday evening right after work and ate solo at the bar seating. I had to flag down someone to take my order, my ramen came before my bao bun, and I had to flag someone down again to bring my Thai iced tea AFTER my ramen and bao bun were served and I didn't have any other drink (no water, etc). They weren't busy or understaffed either, but there were plenty of servers behind the bar hanging out and talking pretty close to me - just not being attentive to their patrons. I hope they train their servers to be much more diligent and efficient, especially during the dinner rush and busier weekend times. I'm not too excited to return, but seeing as I love the value of their combo meals, I'll likely return because of how close and convenient this location is. read more

We had a great time here. Having recently been to a Kyuramen in Boston and loved it, we were excited when this place finally opened in the Shoppes at Old Bridge. The decor is super fun and trendy. There is a swinging egg shaped chair in the front for pictures and a station for designing a wooden sign to hang on their wooden tree. Lined up along the sides are congratulatory grand opening flower stands. There are normal open tables in the center but along the sides are tables made private with a curtain and other tables that are in semi-private honeycomb booths. There is also bar-style seating. The food was delicious though not totally authentic. We ordered a few variations of the ramen, the classic omurice with curry sauce, and popcorn chicken. For the ramen, I opted for spicy (supposed to be medium spicy but was actually very spicy). The other option was hot (even spicier). The pork in the ramen could have been more tender though. The omurice was so good! It's like an egg fried rice dish but the egg is mixed in afterward. This dish comes with a choice of dessert - matcha pudding or cherry blossom jelly. We chose the matcha pudding. It tasted like a custard and was very good. The popcorn chicken came out piping hot and crispy - another good choice. There were a few promos going on for the opening- we received a gift with our bill. I also won a free popcorn chicken coupon. Tried this new ramen spot and overall had a really good experience. The creamy udon was excellent--rich, comforting, and full of flavor. The braised pork bowl was also a standout; the pork was very savory, incredibly soft, and the rice was cooked to perfection. We also ordered a chicken bao, but unfortunately it wasn't my favorite. The chicken looked rubbery, it wasn't charred or crispy, which is more my preference. The spicy cucumbers were fresh and crunchy with a good kick, but I probably wouldn't order them again. tried the wings as well, they were sweet but a bit chewy, so I'm unsure if I'd reorder those either. I really enjoyed my time at Kyuramen. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted and allowed to choose our own seating. The server gave us a full rundown of how everything works and walked us through the menu, which I really appreciated. One of my favorite parts was when she mentioned that for every $50 you spend, you get to spin a prize wheel. It's honestly the small things like that that make a dining experience more exciting!especially since you're going to spend the money on food anyway. We sat in the honeycomb seating, which was really cool, and I loved that each table has a button to call a server. When I looked over the menu, I was impressed by the variety, especially the appetizers. I'm definitely a chicken girly, so I mostly stuck with chicken options, but the pork was good & well flavored. Alright me lovelies! The long awaited Kyuramen opening in Old Bridge has finally come to fruition. The restaurant is located in The Shoppes at Old Bridge Plaza. There is plenty of parking with an onsite parking lot free of charge. There are also handicap accessible parking spaces and access to the restaurant without steps. There's a bus stop on Rte 9 that lets off right at the entrance to The Shoppes at Old Bridge Plaza. Kyuramen is a chain restaurant with multiple locations, download their app to receive rewards, their app also permits online orders at certain locations this option is not yet available at the Old Bridge location. TBaar is adjacent to Kyuramen. Upon arrival join the waitlist via tablet and you can either wait to be seated though there is very limited space to wait inside, or you can walk a few steps to TBaar to order a drink, snacks something sweet or savory via kiosk. Service, the hostess was a bit lost and very discombobulated even though there weren't many diners in the restaurant. She fumbled the simplest of tasks like taking us to our table and was very easily confused. I ordered drinks at TBaar and our table was ready before our drinks were, my husband opted to stay behind in the TBaar area for the drinks and the hostess at Kyuramen just randomly glanced at my daughter and I as if she was confused why we were just standing there she continued chatting up two other coworkers instead of taking us to our table even after I mentioned my husband would meet us at the table. I'm not sure if she just didn't understand or what the miscommunication was. After a few more minutes of us just standing there while she chatted with coworkers I panned the nearly empty restaurant I excused myself and ask "is our table ready or not?" The hostess then stopped chatting her coworkers and took us to our table. After getting to our table she once again asked "table for 3 right?" I said "yes" she walked off giving us only 2 menus still seemingly confused as if she was looking for an invisible person, mind you she met my husband 30 seconds before I mentioned he was awaiting the drinks at TBaar. I did not let the experience with the hostess determine the rating of the restaurant, I'm hoping it was just a fluke. The waiter was fast and informative, he verified our orders accurately. I will note more than one waiter serviced our table all were great with the exception of one who did not seem to know the difference between the bowls of ramen he brought out, he kept switching my bowl and my daughter's bowl of ramen back and forth to the point we just said it's okay we'll figure it out. The kitchen did mess up my request to have no scallions in my bowl I didn't want to make a fuss it was late and we were hungry my husband simply scooped the scallions out. The food, appetizers came out fairly quickly spice levels are moderate to spicy. The Spicy cucumbers were a medium spice level and flavors were mild you definitely need to get the cucumbers mixed well or they'll just taste bland it can use just a touch more flavor. Takoyaki had a really good amount of octopus in them, dough was just right it if you like your food blistering hot you might have a problem with the temperature of the takoyaki it was hot but not scorch your mouth hot. Spicy dumplings, were medium spice my daughter's reaction to the flavor was "meh." I didn't really have much to say about the spicy dumplings either they were fine the flavor profile was an average dumpling. Would I order it again probably, but not the best. Ika Geso Kara-Age, I get the tentacles are served whole for presentation, but it made them difficult to eat other than that the flavors were good my husband enjoyed them more than I did, but again it was just difficult for me to eat they were not easily rip apart or easy to bite a piece off. The popcorn chicken flavors were mild and just right, they could be a touch crispier to really make them great. My husband said the popcorn chicken was bland for him we have had this popcorn chicken at other locations that served them with a stronger flavor profile and much more crisp. The Super Bowl Ramen, the bowl was huge but the portion of ramen was the same as all the other ramen bowls with additional proteins is all. Flavors of all three ramens were almost all the same, very rich broth, the noodles have a good chewy texture, the char sui was my least favorite out of everything my husband and daughter also agreed. The char sui pork slices were missing that much needed torched char to take the gaminess away from the pork. I still gave a 4 stars review because the restaurant was near closing time on a holiday and the mistakes weren't enough to warrant a 3 stars rating. I will definitely be visiting again. read more

My third time coming here and I've always left super satisfied with the service and good food. Not to mention, very cute and cozy decor and ambiance. Servers were always so attentive and very friendly. Each table has a button to press when you need to call your server. Things I've ordered: Takoyaki octopus balls- Super good, must try! Popcorn chicken-Good Agedashi tofu-Good Pork bao bun-Ehh wasn't my fave Spicy chili dumplings-Good but a tad too too spicy for me Shrimp tempura-Good Sapporo miso ramen(mild spice level)- Flavorful and has a kick to it.) I've also ordered the plain miso ramen BUT I liked the one with the mild spice to it better. Kyushu spicy tonkotsu ramen-This was ok for me Thai iced tea-Good, not too sweet for me Matcha pudding with red bean- Really good, I highly recommend this! Overall, a good place to go if you're craving ramen. Prices are decent, good service, and good food. This spot is gonna be one of my favorite ramen place to go to. read more

I have been to kyuramen but different location. Went with friends on wednesday night. I got the pork tonkatsu omurice with demiglace. It was delicious the egg was so fluffy. It was also great presentation. It came with a dessert as well and i got the jelly. I like the chewy part of it but hate that it tastes and smells like perfume. Love the decor and the wishing tree was really nice as well. Bathroom door stalls has a big gap in between them which you can fully see the person using the toilet. read more

The place is beautiful. Very spacey and lots of tables. Food was good but definitely had better. It was only the 2nd day when we went so I'm sure there will be small hiccups. But by the way things look, it should only improve. Wait staff was very attentive. read more

They did not disappoint! The moment we walked in, the vibe was cozy and modern with a chill, inviting atmosphere. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made the experience feel relaxed and welcoming. We ordered the Dragon Fruit Tea with Milk Foam, Coconut Smoothie with Mix Jelly & Tapioca, and Fresh Passion Fruit Tea. Each drink was refreshing, vibrant, and tasted just as good as they looked. For food, the Tbaar Spicy Chili Dumplings had the perfect kick, the Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen had a rich, flavorful broth with just the right amount of heat, and the Diced Braised Pork Don was tender and comforting. The Honeycomb Platter was delightful. It came with chili garlic edamame, lobster potato salad ball, fried tofu, shrimp. Such a fun mix of flavors and textures that made the meal feel unique. I ended with the Japanese Cherry Blossom Jelly for dessert, which was light, refreshing, and such a pretty finish to the meal. I'm not someone super experienced with ramen so i can't comment on authenticity. The restaurant was clean , well lit , lots of stuff to look at and cool honey comb style booths. If your light sensitive be warned. The menu has a lot going on and i recommend you read and double check your selection cause mine ended up being super spicy. Service is good extremely fast. I believe it's a server pool that just scans your table and any one can help you cause we had 3-4 different servers. There are some dishes on the menu that are a little more American if some one in your party isn't adventurous. I'd come back. read more

Service was on top of things, always keeping notice of water or trash. We got ramen and our food came out quickly. No complaints!

When it comes to ramen I will say it can be a hit or miss for me. I wouldn't say that it was a hit for me but it wasn't necessarily a miss either. I think I'm just not a ramen girly like I want to be. I tried the Combo A meal which came with Tokyo Tonkotsu Shoyu Ramen with a Steamed Pork Bao Bun. With the Combo A meal you get a matcha pudding and you can make it a classic combo and get a Thai iced tea. The two items I enjoyed the most were the pork boa bun and the Thai iced tea. Also I got the honey comb platter B but I also was not a big fan of the platter either. I think next time I would skip on getting the ramen and try the omurice and maybe a different appetizer. Sometimes eating out is about figuring out what you may or may not like. As for the service it was 10 out of 10! Having great service is always a plus and definitely worth coming back for. The aesthetic of Kyuramen was definitely unique and made you feel like you were in Japan. read more

Hubby and I saw this place on TikTok and decided to come for lunch!! When we walked in we got a table right away but we sat there for about 10 minutes or more waiting to just order a drink!! Yingyang Bowl is spicy good, Curry Ramen is mild spicy, Tonkotsu Shouyu Ramen White Garlic is not too salty, Gyu Harami/beef & Butabara/pork belly skewers are both good, Fried Chicken Rice Burger comes with fries & seaweed, tasty.
