I was there all day and noticed that despite tons of people going in and out the bathrooms were kept in immaculately clean. This is definitely a place I would recommend, if you need to hold an event. I noticed they have lots of activities and quite an active little place.

I dont care for this pool at all…read more First of all the HOA has a really hard time keeping up with this place, it is always getting vandalized and the HOA is always have to put more money into the place all the time, its not even worth it when more than half of your HOA budget goes a pool that is only open about 4 months out of the year. Complete waste of money. Also, there is almost no shade around this place. The one shaded area is always dirty and actually pretty far away from the pool. Since this is more of a family pool, I wish they had triple the shade. Its like a giant tank of water in the middle of a hot field. Each year I try the keycard they give us and it is always wrong, then it takes weeks to get back to the HOA to get you a new card so you can actually use the pool like you should. This has happened every year to me. Keycard system is great, when it works and the lifeguards really enforce the rules, so when the key does not work, they stare at you through the gate saying, too bad. And the lifeguards are rude. They probably have to with a lot of crap, but they have always been rude to me and I dont know why we cant hire people that live in Austin, for some reason we hire people from the czech or something as an exchange program. I dont know why because the language barrier is an issue sometimes.

There is no shade to speak of when in the water, so be sure to apply plenty of sunscreen. They have lockers to store valuables on site, but you need to bring your own lock. They also have dedicated dressing/shower areas and relatively clean toilets. If you don't use a locker, you have to place everything on the sides of the pool in the grass/dirt (be sure to bring a picnic blanket if you plan to hang out there at all). The grass/dirt area is nicely shaded. No beverages apart from water is allowed by the pool. Entry fees were $5/person for Austin residents. It was an enjoyable way to spend a couple of hours.

Your first impression of the pool will probably be wow it's large with so many lanes and many areas where you can just swim or float to your hearts content. Another impression might be and it was especially for me the bright blue water of the pool. It looks refreshing, cool, and inviting. Deep Eddiy pool has a oblong shape typical of large pools of its size. The pool has architecturally clean lines with precise corners. When you stand on the pool platform the vastness of the pool rushes to the forefront. Everytime I stick my foot in the water of the Deep Eddy pool, that cool refreshing feeling envelopes my body. Entry fees are very reasonable and can beas low as $2 per day. Paid parking is available in front of the pool and on the street. Nice relaxing self-care day...

Float's are allowed even though website says otherwise I seen so many the past few times going. When you get there , there is a pool you'll visibly see but as you walk further down you'll see the very BIG spring/river fed swimming pool. If you bring things it has to be in a cooler, no glass, no styrofoam and there is a no tolerance rule on alcohol they will absolutely kick you out, no refunds. We brought a wagon (seen parents with strollers) and a small cooler for food and things. (Sodas, veggie tray, fruit, snacks) the workers WILL CHECK COOLERS so be weary! If you get there early there will be picnic tables available, you can also bring folding chairs and tables, if you don't bring either they allow quilted or picnic blanket. Please also know the water is EXTREMELY cold, 63 degrees, so if you bring little children I would recommend going to the kitty area that doesn't fully submerge them and that is tolerable. Life guards are everywhere so no worries there. The slide is also not there anymore but for a bit older kids there is a something they can swing off of that you'll pass when coming in. There's really something for all ages. THE WATER IS CLEAN!

Billy has done a wonderful job taking care of the pool, the maintenance, upkeep of the playground and surroundings (bbq grills & parking lot). We've loved our time at the YMCA in Buda!…read more Childcare for my older kiddo while hubby and I workout has been solid! I really like the pool. Always clean, in good condition, and normally people have been great at sharing during busier times! Hot tub is great with plenty of space! I also like the warmer pool which is wonderful on my joints and not as hot as the hot tub. Perfect balance and lots of space for all ages. The lifeguards have always been great and make sure kids are safe and have the right wristbands based on their swimming abilities. Lots of workout equipment, all in good condition! Definitely not substandard equipment. I've never seen all the treadmills in use, and half of them aren't closed all the time like other places. The only machines I wish they would add are SkiErg machines! I appreciate the weights and how nice the other people at the gym have been. Very supportive and patient! I have not used a trainer yet but am considering it! The utilities have always been clean. Sure. The showers need a little extra clean, but nothing super gross or black moldy. I do wish they had dressing rooms separate from the showers, but I'll survive! My favorite thing is the staff. SUPER FRIENDLY, each and every one, and that's very special. Always greeted when I come in and always a farewell on my way out. Fabulous staff! We also can't wait to go out to the outdoor poor soon!

I notice the pool water is checked hourly and there are plenty of lifeguards. Some fixtures in the locker room are a little old style, but so what. They work and some better than newer ones Ive seen in other places. I love the sauna and equipment rooms. They have a lot of treadmills stair steppers and rowing machines. Teachers are available if I have questions. There is a plethora of classes! Even Qi gong- theres exercise dance, yoga, senior fit, strengthening, weight lifting yoga etc A lot of seniors are here and Im loving making new friends with active people my age. Ive been a member for only two months and my body definately stronger and Im sleeping better. I now have days when I feel fantastic and not just okay. I make it a point to go work out 3-4 times a week. Also theres a basketball court and other games. Im so glad I joined! Thank you YMCA staff- keep up the good work!
