A nightmare from start to finish. I dropped one of my vintage watches on the ground and the crystal…read moreshattered. It's a very simple mechanical watch from overseas that I was fond of. The date window looked fine and all I could see was only the crystal had shattered. I brought it to Emblers hoping to get it fixed quickly. They don't do any watch repairs in house and told me they'd have to ship it to a watch specialist to get a quote and to get it fixed. The cost of shipping even before the quote seemed high but I said yes since I was in a rush to get it fixed. It took Embler maybe 1.5 weeks before I got a quote and another 3 months before they told me it was fixed. I was calling almost every week and a half. They claimed they left a message but never did. Looking at the watch the crystal they replaced it with was nice but the date window was completely broken. When I wound it it was off center and the number didn't line up with the window anymore. I also got the watch back with the date window on a different date than when I had dropped it off, the watch was stopped when I had given it to Embler. I called Embler and he stonewalled me and claimed the watch maker had never opened it and would never do such a thing. What more he also claimed their watch maker had been working on watches longer than "you've been alive" and he worked all day on Patek Philippes and Rolexes and there's no way he'd ever break my watch. They refused to reimburse me for the damages and only offered to refund the replaced crystal. I was livid and didn't take Embler up on the offer as I was on rotating shift work working nights and was about to change Navy duty stations shortly after. I didn't want to even go back after being disrespected and gaslit. My watch is still broken and I don't have the time right now to get it fixed anymore. Don't trust this place with your watches. I don't have experience with their jewelery but I wouldn't trust them with that either. Take your watches or jewelery repair to Summerville Jewlery Repair instead, I had a great experience with them.

I went in looking for a beaded necklace in my colors (I'm a light spring) and Jenna helped me find a handful of options that would work for me. I am a very indecisive person and Jenna guided me towards the one that looked the best with my features; she was so knowledgeable! I wanted to stack my new beaded necklace with others that I was already wearing and Jenna suggested I add an extender- 10/10 recommend because it gives you more options and you won't be stuck with just the one length. I work with my hands a lot and my soldered together wedding bands broke apart. I was really upset about it, but I brought it in and they assured me it would be good as new when they fixed it. Exactly on schedule 2 weeks later they called to say the rings were ready. I also took my engagement ring to be cleaned and they sparkled like new. So I go into the store on Wednesday to have my wedding rings replayed as the rhodium had dulled. First, the two young women who were helping me had no idea what I was talking about. Both said they could clean my rings but didn't know anything about rhodium. Do I said fine, just clean them. I was then told it would take 2 weeks!! The jewelers son was sick and they were behind. I was stunned. I said never mind and left. I've always dealt with extremely knowledgeable people at Reeds, Ron, etc. These kids didn't seem to know anything about fine jewelry.
