I call gateway with the number they gave me for technical assistance and they tell me they will help me fix it over the phone for a one time fee of $150 and another membership fee of $95. I tell them that I think that's robbery and they explained to me that I will never find anyone else to fix it for less than 150 bucks. so I called our computer genius in my business networking group and he tells me he will help me out and give me a discounted member rate of only $100 to fix the computer. still feeling as if I'm being extorted I go down the street to firenzie computer shop. I explained the situation to Mike who had close about 5 minutes earlier and he says he can help me out and probably have it all done in about a days time. long story short my computer gets fixed 5 verses are removed all malware adware and spyware is removed updates my anti-virus and replaces it with a much stronger antivirus program gives me about 45 minutes of computer education and creates for me a brand new business contact all for the price of $65. Simply put... your computer down and you need help? Call Mike. He will certainly help you out without extorting money from you and preying on your situation.

I purchased a refurbished computer that was sold to me with Windows 11, only to discover after repeated update failures that the computer does not meet Microsoft's hardware requirements for Windows 11. I spent my own time troubleshooting a computer that should have been properly tested and compatible before it was sold. The system repeatedly failed Windows updates, and the troubleshooting ultimately showed problems involving the processor and TPM compatibility. What makes this experience even worse is United Pro Tek's customer service. Instead of standing behind the product they sold, they made excuses and offered to replace it with essentially the same type of machine. Their proposed replacement did not address the underlying compatibility problem. After I continued pressing the issue, the seller blocked my email, preventing me from communicating with them from that address. I actually had to use another email address just to get a message through. A company selling refurbished computers should know whether the equipment it sells can properly support the operating system installed on it. Customers should not have to become computer technicians to discover these problems after purchasing the product. I would not recommend United Pro Tek to anyone. They had no problem accepting my money, but getting them to stand behind the computer they sold was another matter entirely. Buyer beware.
