Had I spent more time there, I am sure I would have walked out with a birthday present for my mother in-law or mom! Additionally, there is an Arbys (with a drive thru) and Godfathers housed here. When I went inside I was greeted by the clerk at the register. The place smelled of delicious coffee. They also have a Caribou coffee attached to the station that is accessible from outside or through the station. I went and used the restroom before I walked around the store. They were very clean and very nicely tiled. I also really like that they offered both paper towels and the blow dryer for drying your hands. For a gas station bathroom it definitely deserves five stars. I wasn't going to get anything but the aroma of coffee made me want to cappuccino. They had 18 flavors of cappuccino. I had a very hard time deciding which one to go with. They all look so delicious. They also have several slushy machines several flavors of fountain pop and coffee. They carried the normal gas station fare such as beer sodas and candy. They had fresh items probably brought over from the hy vee grocery store such as sandwiches wraps and salads. They also had stuff like pizza by the slice and roller dogs. The whole gas station was very spacious and clean. Other hy vee gas stations I've been to in the past are small and cramped. This one definitely competes with the quality of a kwik star gas station. I just may have to go out of my way more often to get gas and cappuccinos.

Well, in looking at the storefront you can see from the pumps to the restrooms, things get progressively worse, as far as deterioration. There are some major repairs needed & an overall lack of cleanliness. The restroom is one toilet, one semi-attached sink, no toilet tissue holder of any kind, no paper towel dispenser or dryer. No surface gave off safe to touch vibes. I feel like I'd have been better off not washing my hands, luckily, with Covid, everyone seems to have their own sanitizer. There are holes in the walls. Sticky splatter covers the restroom floor. Someone added a note to the wall recommending they clean the room. While a good cleaning is certainly in order, they could also use $50 of patch & paint, plus some essentials - like dispensers for the tissue & paper towels... as tempting as the assortment of restroom napkins may be, it's not becoming in a business bathroom. Saturday February 18th 3:00 p.m. Needed to use the restroom…read morebefore shopping. Saw an employee go in. I waited 5 minutes... ... and another 5 minutes... Then hear videos being played in the stall. I asked the employee, "are you just sitting there watching videos?" He smugly replied, "yeah, I am" and turns up the volume. I go to a manager to complain, and I can't get him to even acknowledge my presence. I tried to tell him about the employee sitting in the bathroom just watching videos. He ignores me. No comment. Nothing. Straight out ignores me as if I was not there. When I go up the counter to make my purchases, he's behind the counter and won't make eye contact. On any other day, I would have nothing but praise for this store. I don't know the manager who ignored me, nor do I know the employee that was having his movie break. I don't know who, if anyone, was in charge. As a customer, I feel very disrespected by this treatment. I'm, however, so pleased that employees watching videos in the bathroom have a higher priority than customers. In any case, when a customer comes up to an employee, (let alone a manager) and has a complaint, be professional at least and have the common decency to not ignore the customer.
