I elected to go with the other company who are local and more reputable. Fast forward a month and Steve from hailstone PDR shows up at my house and immediately gets belligerent about me opting to go with someone else. So I called R&R about the shocking offensive attack by Steve with hailstone PDR and astonishingly, R&R defended his actions. I was referred to the owner, Sunny, by a long-time customer, which is the only reason I considered this shop at all. I asked Sunny to diagnose my extra vehicle, a 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee, and paid $250 for the vehicle to be towed to his shop. After two weeks of waiting, he informed me that the vehicle needed a new motor due to issues with the heads, but he claimed there were no other problems. It's worth noting that the truck had been sitting unused for over a year before I brought it in. Sunny then requested $1,500 for the repairs, which I paid up front , and he assured me the truck would be ready in a week and I would pay the remainder when he completed the job. However, three to six months passed without any updates, and my attempts to contact him went unanswered. It took the person who referred me to visit the shop and inquire about my truck's status. He was told that if they couldn't fix it, they shoul refund my money. While she was on the phone with me and talking to Sunny, the owner gave a sob story about losing his mechanics and his father passing away, asking for more time to get the motor installed and the truck running by the 15th. Yet, here we are, four more months later. I asked my brother, who lives nearby, to check on the truck at his shop, and he found my truck untouched, now with bumper damage, water damage, and mold inside. He confronted Sunny, who again promised that the truck would be operational by April 15th. I contacted my brother, who resides on that side of town, since it's a one-and-a-half-hour drive for me to visit the shop. He went to the property and took pictures of my truck, which had been untouched. Unfortunately, it now has bumper damage, water damage, and mold inside. He spoke with Sunny, who assured him that he would have it operational by April 15th, claiming responsibility for it sitting for over a year, which caused water damage from the rain. He promised to handle the bodywork, brakes, and cleanup. However, on May 19th, my brother visited the shop one last time to check on the Jeep's progress. Sunny stated that the AC was functioning and the vehicle was running well, but he still needed to clean it and fix the bumper, as his body man was unavailable. My brother then took the Jeep home, only to find the check engine light on, malfunctioning signals, a broken gas meter, and now it won't even start. This has been the most frustrating experience I've ever had with any business, especially considering the high recommendations. It's been a series of blatant lies, and I'm still out of money with no resolution, forcing me to consider legal action. He demanded a $48 deposit to order the new windshield and that I would have to come back in a week to get it installed. He didn't mention a 3.75% card fee over the phone but forced it on me in person, suggesting Zelle only after I'd paid. Shady business practices. When I got in my car, it smelled like trashy cologne, and the steering wheel was greasy. I asked him what he sprayed in the car and he said nothing. Unfortunately, after my most recent experience, I will be canceling my membership. Mint Express Car Wash The biggest issue is that no one ever answers the phone during business hours. I have personally sat inside the lobby and watched the phone ring repeatedly while employees stood around and ignored it. Today was no different. After going through the wash and driving home, I realized the front Mercedes emblem on my CLA 250 was missing. Since no one would answer the phone, I had to drive all the way back to the car wash. They eventually found my emblem, but it was broken, and I had to file a damage claim. Another ongoing concern is that the employees responsible for guiding vehicles into the wash tunnel are often on their phones instead of paying attention. That lack of attention to customers and their vehicles is unacceptable. I also spoke with the manager, Daniel, and was extremely disappointed. He showed very little concern, offered no sincere apology, and couldn't explain why the phones are consistently ignored during business hours. His attitude came across as indifferent, which only made the situation more frustrating. I understand accidents can happen, but customer service and accountability matter. After two years of being a paying member, I expected much better. Instead, I was left with a damaged Mercedes emblem, wasted time, and poor customer service. I will be canceling my membership and taking my business elsewhere. I hope this review encourages management to improve their customer service and hold employees accountable.
