These guys genuinely care for their guests & community. I was in for a visit yesterday and watched them help an elderly woman with her car. the owner was so nice he gave her a pair of wiper blades and checked out her vehicle to make sure it was safe to drive. It is always great to see a locally owned business with its owner on site front & center. Most shops nowadays are big corporate chains and you are no longer a guest but instead just a number or transaction. Never take your car, truck or anything you value. Brought my VW Jetta here around 3 months ago for an oil change (i usually do it myself but i was too busy with school and work) All was good till my service light came back on. Decided to just spend the 60$ and do it myself since i have more time. I pulled out the oil filter and realized they forgot to put a oil filter. We have been coming to Kwik Kar for years. Today we were going to stop in for an oil change and inspection. When we pulled up we wanted to ask if we should pull to the left bay, as that is where inspections are done. A woman with a bad attitude was waving for us to pull into the middle bay. As we were parking to ask them she walked out making hand gestures and mouthing stuff at us. She seemed very upset and unprofessional. When my husband saw that she was talking rudely about us he said never mind and got back in the car. She looked at us and sarcastically gave us a thumbs up and said have a nice day. We will be finding a new place to take our vehicle if this is how you treat customers. read more

Brought my truck here to get inspected. They did the inspection and finished and left me sitting for 20 minutes after they had finished. I had to ask to pay so I could leave. I bring my truck here every year for inspection but not anymore. Plus the guy was very rude. read more

Visiting the area for a weekend wedding. Our VW check engine light illuminated. The local VW dealership wouldn't even look at our car until Wednesday - even after we explained our predicament and told them we were from out of town. We were totally surprised by their lack of compassion and customer service. This Kwik Kar took us immediately and did a quick assessment. Me: Man, I really need to get my oil changed. Friend: Didn't you get your oil changed last month? Me: No, I just never went. There are few things in life I like doing less than getting my oil changed and for that reason I am always procrastinating and then my car starts to hate me. You know what they say, happy car, happy life. Wait...that's not right. The abridged version comes in list form - Things I Loved: 1. Fast! 2. You pull into the bay and they change the oil from underneath so no one adjusts your seats. 3. The vacuum your floormats! Awesome! 4. They didn't try to sell me anything/tell me my car is going to explode if I don't spend $300 TODAY. And now, the expanded verson: After my free year of oil changes from the dealership expired, I decided to pop into this place in hopes that their advertisement of 10 minute oil changes was accurate. I pulled into the bay answered a couple of standard questons and they went to work. It was chilly outside and I couldn't figure out where to sit, so I got on the phone and paced around outside for a while until a gentleman asked if I'd like to pay. I did and noticed the warm seating area. Oops. I warmed up and paid a very reasonable fee, went back out to see the gentlmen were vacuuming my floor mats. They opened up the door for me and I was on my way within 20 minutes. Everyone was nice. I left smiling. Painless. Now maybe I'll only wait until I'm 2000 miles past oil change time. read more

One word: "thieves". My A/C slowly stopped working, making me think that I had a leak. I bought a can of Freon with a gauge, used about 1/2 of the can and couldn't get my A/C to work, but the compressor kept on cycling on and off every 5 seconds. I took the car to Kwik Kar thinking that they were going to put some Freon and charge me $50-75 They gave me a quote for $750 to replace the compressor and accumulator and said that my compressor wasn't working because it wasn't engauging. I checked it later and it was engauging just fine. I asked my neighbor who works with A/C units to help me.... The problem was (1) Low on Freon (2) Small leak on the accumulator It took my neighbor 10 minutes and 1/2 can of Freon to fix my car and save me from paying $750. read more

Dishonest, unreliable,LIARS. Did not perform multiple services that were paid for and yet they checked off the check list as if the PM was done. So now I am concerned did they put the oil in that I paid for and was the filter replaced and put on correctly. The sign out front read under new management but the female manager stated she has been 6 years. Misleading!!!When the multiple issues were addressed to the tech.he lied but when he was shown he forgot. The manager covered up the neglect and made one excuse after another and offered a coupon for my next oil change. You really think that I am going to trust you or staff to perform my PM on my vehicle after this. I take pride in my vehicles care and performance. When asked about having the owner contact me I was denied, when asked for a name I was given only Stacey. Well Stacey if you read this review contact me...we need to talk. Your manager of 6 years is covering bad practices up as well covering problems that can be huge. The tech who worked on my vehicle could of cost me and you a large amount of money because he claimed that he put washer fluid in my coolant reserve and he lied about this to his boss. Poor customer service. Went to get my car inspected and the lost my insurance card. Called them about it and the man who answered was extremely rude, saying why would they have my card. Which was clearly no longer.in my vehicle. Just all around poor service. read more

Have used this place in the past due to the convenience of the location. I took my car in today so they can check my brakes. They gave me an estimate to repair it for $971.48. That included Master Cylinder 365.89, Break Power Booster, 217.47 and 4 hours of labor for 340.00. My boyfriend told me to take my car for a second opinion. I took my vehicle to Discount Brake & Auto Repair right up the street. Turns out: 1. I did not need the Brake Power Booster, and 2. The cost for the Master Cylinder was only 205.10! Plus labor, brake fluid, and hazd materials, the estimate was 523.82! I'm disappointed knowing they tried to RIP me off. read more

Was overcharged ten dollars for an oil change,when I asked why I was told Toyota recommended 10w-30 oil. Only comes in bottles not bulk so without asking me the customer they used it. This has happened before and they keep charging me extra . I have had enough being ripped off by this place. Will find someone more honest. read more

Super quick (max time spent; 15 minutes), they vacuumed the inside of my car, checked my air filter, refilled my windshield washer fluid and not once did any of the guys make me feel pressured to buy all the ups and extras OR make me feel like a 'dumb girl'. Very unprofessional and rude. I brought my vehicle in for a state inspection around 3 pm on a Saturday. The attendant was courteous and told me it would be no problem having the inspection taken care of. They drove my Jeep around the back and brought it back up front. I walked in and the douchebag at the register called out my vehicle. He told me $25.00 and some change. As I payed he said "oh yeah your vehicle failed". I asked why and he said parking brake would not hold. I asked why no one told me anything because I have a full set of tools in the back (it's and overlanding Jeep). I payed, walked outside and within 5 minutes adjusted the brake. I went back in and told him it was fixed and he said he was sorry but they were closed. I asked if they couldn't please complete the inspection and he repeated that they were closed. What a douche. I drove two blocks down the road and quickly passed my state inspection at another facility. I USED to use The other ship quite a bit, but I won't be back. I hope other people don't have the same experience as I did. read more

I took my vehicle here and my apple headphone jack came up missing... I made absolute sure they were missing before I called and spoke to the manager about this because I in no way wanted to get someone in trouble if they really didn't come up missing. I spoke to the manager Michelle about this and she didn't seem to concerned with it, stating that everyone there uses androids and that who I suspected did it has been working there for a while so she "doubts" he would've done that. Never once did she apologize for my property coming up missing. I honestly have no reason to lie and me calling up there was not me expecting to get my property back it was me trying to make them aware of the situation and make them aware of if their employee is willing to take a $10 piece they will be willing to steal other things as well. I don't like the fact that the manager completely disregarded a customers complaints about a theft. I had to ask her to give me a call back which tells me that after we hung up the phone she's not gonna think twice about it. People be aware of going to this place because they have someone with sticky fingers working there. read more
