My car kept acting up, and instead of running a real diagnostic, the manager kept saying they would but never did. Today he finally admitted they never diagnosed anything they "cleaned the throttle body for free." Great. Thanks. So where is the documentation showing that was even completed? My car was left with them for hours each visit, even a whole day once, and the only paperwork they could produce was the receipt for the gasket I paid for. Nothing for the other visits. Nothing for the supposed work. Nothing for the time they had my vehicle. This shop operates on guesses, not diagnostics. No communication, no paperwork, and no accountability. We will never go back to this location again! We purchased some parts to be replaced and they ended up causing more issues than the initial issue that we had. Two times they called us to say our car was ready, but when we got there to pick it up, it was making noise and had more issues than we initially brought it in for. It's like they never tested the car to make sure everything was fine. The cost ended up being way more than what was expected and the manager never called back when we were trying to get an update on our vehicle. They had our vehicle for five days and toward the end, the only way we can get an update on our vehicle was to show up unexpectedly and asked to speak to someone. However, the way they prioritized vehicles seemed disorganized -- I saw at least three customers who arrived after me for oil changes get taken care of and finished before my car. I hate to see this business have a lower rating than they deserve. I go here for my oil changes as they always try and get me in when they can. I had a bigger issue arise and they got me in to diagnose it (without charging an outrageous diagnostic fee) and then made sure they were able to take care of the problem properly. BEWARE!!!!! Honestly, walking into this place is nothing special. Usually if you walk into a business you're paying your money to, you get greeted. I didn't get greeted and when there was an acknowledgement, no eye contact from the employee. First thing that came out the employees mouth was WE CANNOT HELP YOU because we close in an hour. Considering the very small amount of customers they had at the time, and the 6 employees you have standing/sitting around. you would think that an oil change would be able to get taken care of in 10-15 or so. They have NOT been performing the maintenance they have been charging me for. They ruined the engine in my Jeep and refused to address the issue. Tried to give Eric a chance to correct his mechanics damage to my car and extremely poor work. I had a "oil change" see pictures. Took filter out no gasket see pic. They put in an oil filter that was damaged, had no gasket, oil was black, small amount of oil and oil cap lose. On top of this they quoted me for an Engine Housing leak, $450. Also a quote for spark plugs over $200. When I went and got my 2nd opinion on his quotes they are double charging and that's where I saw the poor work done on the oil filter. Dishonest, poor quality of work, uneducated, crooks. I do not have an Engine Oil Housing leak either. I would have pd for $450 worth of work I didn't need. Do not visit this location. read more

They were able to identify the issue quickly, share with me several routes that I could go to get it resolved and remedied the issue until I could get it fixed. Awful experience and customer service!!! I have reached out multiple times about an incident with my car at the little elm location. It has been almost 6 months since I first reached out and no one has bothered to get back to me. I have submitted request via the contact us on the website, I have gone back to the location and talked with the manager numerous times, and I have sent many emails to the email he has given me to contact when I have talked to him and nothing. Last time I went in the owner told me he would cc me on an email to corporate and I have yet to see an email. I have left my name and email multiple times. I would really appreciate a response as your team caused damage to my car. The mess up caused my car to break down on the side of the road ans have to be towed to a shop to be fixed to make it drivable again. $1500 I had to pay due to your team putting my air filter in backwards after I came in only for an oil change that caused my mass air flow sensor to short. read more

Had my oil changed on May 31, 2024. They did not put the drain plug back in tight enough. It leaked and started smoking horribly. They towed it back to the Kwik Kar on 423 where they did the first oil change incorrectly and then the ownership group "Denton Operations" refused to fix my car. The engine is destroyed. It is their fault, and they will not fix it or help in any way. Never go here. Never let anyone go here. The owners are horrific and now I am screwed out of a 2019 Tucson. I've been coming to this location for a few years now. At times I've felt like I'm being oversold on some services, but honestly, the guys have always gone by the book when it comes to maintenance. When I hear "You're here just for an oil change, but you're actually due for x & x service based on factory service recommendation," it's hard for me to pass on that stuff. I like to take care of my vehicles and this place has always done their best to help me do that. Yesterday I came in because I had a service light come on. I had an oil change about 2000mi ago so I was pretty sure I was good there. My guy, Alfredo, checked it out and said it was a computer thing. It was no issue at all, just something that needed a quick reset. I was really grateful as I was about to head out of town, and he said, "We don't want your money." Never go to this Kwik Kar Auto Repair at this location. They will upsell you after your service has been completed. They individually bill you Extra for a high price of service fee you're unaware of, making your total amount much higher than what you would pay for a simple oil change. $91 for an oil change that should be no more than $70 tops for the 2017 year make and model of my car. read more

My story has been a lengthy process...but Malcolm and his team at the Little Elm Kwik Kar have been so professional and patient that I want to be sure everyone knows! My mother's car had been sitting at my house for a few years (yes--years!) because she has been in a nursing home after a stroke in 2015. I didn't need the second car so I let it sit and be neglected. What a mistake! Little Elm Kwik Kar got it running again a few months ago...then it was my job to get it re-registered and inspected so my son could use it for college this fall. And so it begins...the labor of love. If you leave a car sitting for too long it shuts down it's internal computer...which means it's needs it's drive cycle reset in order to pass inspection. I had no idea what this meant, but Mikel the inspector was very informative. I proceeded to try to reset the drive cycle...but the check engine light came on. I brought it back...they fixed that issue. I tried the drive cycle again...check engine light again. They fixed it. Drive cycle one more time. And guess what? Check engine light came on again. It turns out I was causing this recurrence myself but I'd rather not dwell there. . Malcolm and Steve were so patient with the increasingly impatient me. They went above and beyond to make sure everything got fixed AND taught me what NOT to do. And I finally passed inspection!!! They have my business for life now. Came here on a Sunday to get an inspection-- they were able to get us in and take care of me quickly. I really appreciated the lead mechanic- my daughter has adaptive pedals and it be a bit tricky to drive. He was able to go ahead and accommodate without taking off the pedals, which is expensive and time consuming itself. read more

A bunch of fucking scam artists. For the last three times in a row, when I brought in my car for an oil change, they've told me I needed new spark plugs. I had them replace 23k miles ago, and even told them that. They still tried to sell me new plugs. Also, the first time I went in, they talked me i to switching to Royal Purple synthetic. And I paid extra for it. I also asked for it the last time I went in. Just now, on my third visit, I find out that they were charging me for Royal Purple, but admitted to using the cheaper synthetic. I don't care how convenient it is, I'm tired of being lied to and scammed. Stay away. read more

I called the Little Elm location and asked for the cost of an oil change. They asked for what type of vehicle and provided a price over the phone. When it was time to pay, the bill included charges for an extra quart of oil, disposal fee which is normal and $10 charge to change the oil. I understand my vehicle requires an extra charge but that should have been included in the price since they asked for the type of vehicle. The receipt says labor is included so not sure why they charged $10 for service oil fee. Worst of all they talked me out of rotating the tires. Overall, the experience cost me double over the dealership which includes a tire rotation and wash. This place is shady. I will not return. read more
