She wouldn't recommend it for me. During my visit, she leaned on the counter like she was bored or hung over. She listened, but didn't offer any advice to my questions, except she wouldn't recommend scripts I inquired about. I will not be going back to her, I was not impressed nor felt like she cared. She didn't give me confidence that she knew about MHT for older women because of her answers and body language. I was very disappointed to say the least.

I had to diagnose myself with the help of friends who experienced similar symptoms. I started talking to Dr. Stas in December 2021 about bleeding between periods due to my fibroids and mentioned severe bleedings with huge blood clots in January 2022. Not once did she mention that I need to keep an eye on my blood levels. This is such a basic issue that it is truly puzzling how an OBGYN can be so neglectful. What was especially upsetting is that when I came to her after the blood transfusions, she said, with a smile, "So you are really having trouble with these fibroids?" as if this was such a surprise to her. She recommended ablations and a lot of other procedures, which, as it turns out, were not needed. Another doctor quickly established that I had a prolapsing fibroid that could be quickly removed, and two weeks later, my bleedings were gone. I am 50 years old and have seen a lot of healthcare professionals, but such a level of neglect and just general lack of care for a patient's wellbeing is unprecedented.

He also has a good sense of humor, which is always welcome! At the hospital, Dr. Kusic was reassuring and patient through hours of labor. When he saw things weren't progressing, he gave me the option of laboring on a few more hours to see if things would change to avoid a c-section. They didn't, and because my water broke we were on a tight timetable. We ended up doing a c-section, but he was fantastic -- he calmed me down and was great during and after the surgery. Both mother and daughter were healthy and my incision is healing great. I couldn't have asked for a better experience, even though I wasn't planning a c-section. Overall, all the OBs at Capital Women's Care are great -- I really love the practice (I had been to a few OB offices before getting pregnant looking for the right fit). Dr. Stas is my other favorite. The doctors are all great, and they deliver at a great hospital (Fairfax Inova). Love, love, love.

There were appointments where she made me wait hours, and she always told me I needed to lose weight (even though I was active and healthy according to every other medical provider in my life). One appointment when the office got a new intravaginal sonogram, and she invited multiple strangers into the exam room to observe. When I expressed hesitation, she said, "Oh don't worry about it." I have a documented history of SA, and she bulldozed over my boundaries so that strangers could observe me in stirrups having an intravaginal sonogram. That should've been the last straw, but I thought I should trust my doctor. The final straw was when I made an appointment to change out my IUD and the terrible experience I had from making the appointment to the incredibly inappropriate behavior during the appointment procedure. I called to schedule the appointment. I requested pain management, which they denied. When I confirmed my appointment, I requested pain management again, which they denied again. At the appointment, they refused pain management again. During the procedure I was screaming, crying, and trying to crawl away from Dr. Bohon on the table. She did not stop the procedure until I begged her to stop. She then sighed, rolled her eyes, and said, "I don't know why you're acting like this. It's just a little pinch." I walked out of the clinic sobbing and never went back.

I explained to them that I would not pay for the test since I never received the report. Then they sent me to collections. It is questionable whether they even sent the test to the radiologist. It's a waste of money to belong to this if they are not going to do the basic tests for an annual physical to keep you healthy. Totally disappointed in this place. I chose Dr. Timothy Lee as my pcp and also see NP Michelle Patterson regularly for wellness checks. I also saw Dr. Jillian Noyes once when the others were not available for a last minute rush appointment. I've been so happy with every member of the health care team who has treated me. I feel like the team spends more time with patients than at my previous practice. Bloodwork, prescription refills, referrals to specialists, follow up...it's all done quickly. The staff is friendly, the offices are clean and fresh, and it's all a nice place to go. It never feels hectic. And of course, the app makes it easy to schedule appointments. I'm very glad I made the move. I have neighbors who see other health care practitioners at this office and are equally happy with their care.

I keep receiving bills from One Medical. I came in for a few services last year and not once did…read moreanyone tell me my insurance was not accepted. Instead I get a bill for over $500. Not once was I ever told the cost of services prior to any visit. This goes against the No Surprises Act of 2022. I have already reported One Medical to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. I have requested they adjust my bill accordingly, but I keep getting bills via email and mail. I even called at the beginning of 2022 to confirm my new insurance was accepted, and they confirmed it was. They used to be an amazing practice, but things have severely changed. I will not be renewing my membership even though I've been a member for years.
