I went to Dr. Solomon for contact lenses and eyeglasses.
1) Contacts - I asked for mono-vision contact lenses. My family all wore them and loved them (from a different doctor) with no problems.
Dr. Solomon didn't seem to know much about them and recommended bifocal contacts. They were awful. I couldn't drive, read a book, or see a computer screen in them. Asking about mono-vision again, I was ignored.
2) Eyeglasses - Prescription is wrong. I paid over $400 out of pocket in addition to the $600+ that my insurance paid for the best lenses I could buy...blue screen, anti-glare protection...the works! Only, Dr. Solomon's prescription is WRONG and I can't see in my new glasses. I cannot read, drive in them, or see a computer screen.
I went to Dr. Solomon at Everitt & Hurite thinking that I was getting the best eye exam in town and they didn't even use the eye testing machines on me that other eye doctors have used in the past. There was not discussion about eye photos or anything. I felt like a little fish in a big pond and that they had bigger fish to fry than fitting me with a proper prescription.
Very disappointing and I would not recommend anyone going to them for an eye exam. Maybe if you have big problems they can help, but for glasses and normal care, save yourself the trouble and find a good local doctor. read more
