My friend who lives in the area says a lot of the vendors just give what they have left at the end of the day to needy people who can't afford to purchase the items. I thought that was a really good idea, and very progressive of them. This area was surrounded by shops, restaurants and cafes. There were some benches to sit, and made for good people watching, as well as getting acclimated to the area.

Google showed us Folkets Park, which was described as an amusement park. Now, we were there on a Monday and my understanding is that Mondays tend to be less busy and interesting. But I wasn't particularly amused while I was here. None of the little restaurants or stalls were open, neither was the mini golf. So there was just some people walking through as a short cut through the block. There were a couple spots that were colorful and lovely enough for a photo opportunity, but overall it was kind of disappointing. So...I got a really cute photo out of it, but other than that our visit was a bit of a let down. If there is a special event or concert going on, I am sure it is much more interesting.

I guess the place's cleaned up a little since the last reviewer. It's now super popular with…read moreparents and their children (at least now that it's summer), and there's a cool cafe smack in the middle of the place that's very laid back. There is, however, a group of drug dealers that likes to hang out around the park, as they do in many places around town.

Sure, the angry geese are still there - you better watch out for them - but this nice park is one of the best parks there in Malmö and when I say parks, I meant many since Malmö truly have a lot of nice parks for such a compact city (compared to Copenhagen). If you need "time out" after spending the day shopping and helping the Swedish economy, maybe you could have your fika as takeaway and head here on a nice summer / autumn day

A huge park with big trees and a duck pond. It's really a fine place in the "hilly" side of Malmö…read more(read: Kirseberg). I have only frequented this park in late summer so I couldn't see how nice it is in the high summer, but I could imagine lots and lots of people would come and just lie in the sun here. It's a very calm and serene park and lovely just to sit around, have a picnic or just beers, or even sit in the cafe that is very near to the pond. You can do your daily jog / run here as well. I love this park!

This park is nicely compartmentalized so there are many quieter nooks and you can't hear much traffic even though it's right next to busy Strandvejen in the heart of Hellerup. It is also home to Øregård Museum and borders the Gentofte Library once you get tired of lounging on the grass. Nice to walk through, as we did after the annual Indonesian Cultural Bazaar.
