Now Im not one to do the touristy shite, but we were actually convinced by the locals at Radio Restaurant that it is worth doing the canal tour. And if you look at the prices there's one that's more expensive than the other but the experiences are similar. If you go for this cheaper one it's 40DKK which is under 10 dollars US. For an hour, your get a dual Danish/English guide and you get to see the sites of Copenhagen. We had an exciting rub up against the Nyhavn harbor wall, so that was unexpected. It certainly woke everyone up for the start of the tour.

You will not be a proper copenhagen tourist before you have taken a boat tour. It's fun especially when the weather is good and you see the most important sights at once! The netto bådene is cheaper (40dkk per person, 15dkk for kids) than the other boat tour firm and you see the same things, so check for the prices first! You can take food, beers and whatever you like on the boat to make it more fun. Most Danes have a six pack with them! I usually do it with all my visiting friends and it never dissapoints! There are two stops for the boats, one at Nyhavn and one at gammelstrand. Both very easy to find and very centrally located! In winter time they have some boats with a top so you re protected from possible rain. Try waving to people on shore. My favourite hobby when boat touring!

Great way to experience Copenhagen! Tour goes by the theater, the opera, the old navy base, the little mermaid, Christianshavn and some of the historic downtown area. Company is less than 100 ft from a similar company that charges double for the same exact tour. This one only costs about 6 dollars for an hour-long tour through the port and canals of Copenhagen. Guide is narrated in Danish and English. Only wish the tour could have been a little more informative. There were a lot of interesting buildings we passed that weren't mentioned at all.

Definitely a solid boat ride. This tour takes you up to The Little Mermaid (If you are too lazy to walk up there yourself, though you just see the back side...) as well as the canals where people dock boats that they live in towards Christiania. The guy commenting spoke perfect English (and Danish I presume, I couldn't tell) and did a great job of pointing out the highlights of Copenhagen's waterfront and canals while still being comical and making sure the low bridges didn't chop our heads off. Perfect activity to do on a nice day for a reasonable price (or free if you have a Copenhagen Card)

It's a little chaotic purchasing riches because the boarding lines, the ticket lines, and the prepaid ticket people are all in the same area. Lines crisscrossing. It sends like it could be very easy door someone to cut in line, but they seem to think it works for them, so ok. The ride is about 45 minutes to an hour. It really helps having a lively guide because to be honest, there's not that much to see, at least not up close. But there are clever looking buildings, like the one that looks like Tobeleron. There are nearby floating bars and restaurants. And there's even a binge humbling place across the waterway. You get to see the little mermaid statue... but only from the backside!!!

We'd been on boat tours in other cities, and it's usually one of the best things we do. You see things not from the perspective of a motor vehicle on a highway, or a train moving down the track, but rather as people did hundreds of years ago when moving across the sea or through waterways. The seats were ok, not the most comfortable, but not bad. The narration in English was excellent. I could put up many photos and a few videos of tight under-bridge passages, beautiful buildings, interesting boats, and so on. I'll leave that task to others, and keep my review uncluttered. Boat rides are great fun, young or old, no matter the level of fitness. Avoid the heat of the day, maybe aim at the final cruise of the day, and I believe you'll enjoy it.

A local friend recommended we try it, since she said Copenhagen is a city meant to be seen from the water, and she was absolutely right. We had a wonderful experience and highly recommend this.

You can never be sure of the weather in Copenhagen and it was supposed to be sunny but wound up raining and cold. We asked for a refund and they said they don't give refunds even if it's raining. Had we known that we wouldn't have bought tickets in advance which you have to do if you want to get a boat on most days. How can you refuse refunds for boat rides that won't be bought by anyone else because it's raining? The first theft! We were told that they were watching the weather and the rain would stop in about 20 minutes but it never did. It got lighter for a short while and we saw other people with ponchos coming back. We'd spent almost $300 on the trip so rather than lose the money we decided to go out thinking the rain would let up, it didn't. So we asked for 3 of the ponchos we saw other people wearing. They said sure and pulled out three tiny packets of the thinnest cheapest plastic ponchos that didn't go past your butt and THEY CHARGED US $6 FOR EACH ONE!! The second theft! Talk about adding insult to injury these scumbags capitalize further on their non refundable boat rides by charging you more money for what is essentially the thinnest cheapest plastic garbage bags with a hole on the end and a hood that doesn't cover your head. Guarantee you these ponchos cost them about 30 cents a piece yet they charge the ridiculous sum. At the very least if you won't refund my money give me the crappy plastic poncho for free. Absolute scumbag move. On top of all that they hardly give you any instructions except forward, reverse and then tell you that if you hold the rudder slightly wrong the whole thing will pop out of the mechanism which it did multiple times when we were underway. Horribly unsafe. I can't believe this place has decent reviews on here or that it's still open. If you insist on going just please don't book in advance or you'll quite possibly have an experience as bad or worse than ours. And also if you want a better trip don't use a boat with hand rudder. They have other boats with steering wheels which are probably better but I bet if you turn them to far to the right the whole helm collapses! Thanks for ruining one of our 7 days in Copenhagen go boat! Hope you go out of business soon!

Had a wonderful time on this walking tour a few weeks ago!…read more It was easy to find the meeting point for the tour, given the bright green umbrellas on the City Hall steps (see attached pic). We hadn't made a reservation since we weren't sure how jet lag would be affecting us, but the greeter was very welcoming and added the four of us to the English-speaking tour (it probably helped that we arrived 10-15 mins early). Weather was very nice and comfortable temps. Our tour guide, Wayne (I believe was his name), was very knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. He walked us through many key spots around the city, provided lots of interesting points about the local history, architecture, and language, and helped us see things we never would have noticed otherwise! Such a beautiful city, hard to take it all in without some guidance. At the end of the tour, he pointed out a cute little establishment where we could get locally-sourced snacks, drinks, and trinkets, which I really appreciated since so many souvenir shops are just full of items made elsewhere. All in all a fabulous day exploring Copenhagen, highly recommend!

As many people arrived, they grouped people into groups of 18....2 here, 3 there...switching folks around randomly. When we realized the groups were 18 and not 6 we asked why we couldn't be together. Our tour guide Rekka asked Daniel and we were waved to the group with our friends with a bit of disgust. Daniel then came to us and said with admonishment, "you have disrupted the group, I'm very disappointed!" It was rude. We followed for a bit and left altogether. Clearly we were being split because they didn't want us to enjoy it together since we didn't book a private tour. HORRIBLE!!
