    Tall ship along a canal

We had a great time with captain Oliver on our 1-hour canal tour. In hindsight I wish I would've booked the two hour tour as we were done just as things were getting interesting plus we absolutely lucked out on a day with warm and sunny weather. The departure location was just a couple of blocks from our hotel and the small group size 10 people (although only 4 on our early morning-10:10-session) is much better for us than the 100+ person tours. Now the cost is quite a bit higher than those other tours but we appreciated the intimate setting and the ability of the Captain to visit smaller canals that aren't accessible to the larger boats. Would definitely recommend.

2 hour ride around the Fort and quick peek at the little mermaid statue. The crew , Jacob and Pil were great... Very entertaining, we loved the approach to get us all engaged with each other. There is just a bit of shade on the boat ( tiny Bimini on the back ) Very clean and the offer wine, beer for purchase. We recommend when visiting Copenhagen

A fantastic trip with Nicolai. We shared the tour with a couple from the UK, and we are from the US. We all got to know each other and had such a great time. The tour was very informative. The best part was a tour of the Fortress. Nicolai is very knowledgeable and fun.

Wonderful hidden gems tour with Nicolai. Ended up getting a private tour. Cool seeing things from a locals perspective. Highly recommend.

I came across this business by ways of Viator. It appealed to me, as it was a smaller tour group in comparison to other canal tour groups. My group had 7 or 8 people? The Captain - Anton (so?) has lived in the Copenhagen region for his entire life, so he was extremely knowledgeable. This tour definitely stands out from others, as it encourages conversations about one another. It isn't a memorized spiel from the captain, and the open conversation allows for organic connections. It was quite refreshing, honestly. It was a beautiful experience. I recommend this business to anyone who is visiting Copenhagen, and wants to bring more hygge into your life.

We had such a great time on our tour during our second visit to the wonderful city of Copenhagen. This was a great way to see the city from a new and unique perspective. The Hey Captain team is full of great people. I felt taken care of from start to finish. Everyone from our tour guide, to the folks checking us in, to customer service via email was helpful and friendly. Since we spent the most time with our tour guide, she really deserves the biggest shout-out: Our guide shared a lot of great context about the city, the different areas we passed by, and her favorite bakeries (in a city full of excellent bakeries). On our 2-hour tour, we saw the top tourist hotspots (Little Mermaid, her alternative, and Noma) as well as unique spots (like Trekroner Fort). When I reserved our tour, I was a bit worried about being on a boat for 2 hours -- but on the day of our tour, I did not want it to end.

Great 1 hour tour of the city taking off from the Marriott. I would do 2 hours. Covered a lot of ground we missed on foot. We did a private smaller captained boat for my family of 4. Captain was knowledgeable and friendly. The boat was covered and he had beer and water on the ready. The concierge gave vague advice on location which cost us 15 mins. Use google maps it's more detailed. Go out the back and take a right and don't go over the walking bridge, but keep walking past a restaurant it becomes obvious on the water.

Listen, y'all... I don't have a whole lot to add that hasn't already been written here about Hey Captain and our most wonderful guide, Sebastian. I'll just leave it at GO! If in Copenhagen, go! Don't hesitate for a moment to book an adventure with Hey Captain. I don't care if it's hot, cold, raining, snowing... Hey Captain manages to overcome anything Mother Nature throws their way to make your day on the water a special, memorable experience in Copenhagen. I recommend the "Hidden Gems" tour specifically, but I don't think you can really go wrong with any of their trips.

Great trip with an informative and entertaining captain. The experience was made easy and enjoyable from reservations to checkin to cruise. The checkin organizer was kind enough to arrange a can at the end of the trip

Such a fun way to see Copenhagen. Easy to book, easy to find. Friendly staff and our captain, August, was knowledgeable and funny. Loved the small boat and that they encouraged us to socialize. Highly recommend!

It's a little chaotic purchasing riches because the boarding lines, the ticket lines, and the prepaid ticket people are all in the same area. Lines crisscrossing. It sends like it could be very easy door someone to cut in line, but they seem to think it works for them, so ok. The ride is about 45 minutes to an hour. It really helps having a lively guide because to be honest, there's not that much to see, at least not up close. But there are clever looking buildings, like the one that looks like Tobeleron. There are nearby floating bars and restaurants. And there's even a binge humbling place across the waterway. You get to see the little mermaid statue... but only from the backside!!!

We'd been on boat tours in other cities, and it's usually one of the best things we do. You see things not from the perspective of a motor vehicle on a highway, or a train moving down the track, but rather as people did hundreds of years ago when moving across the sea or through waterways. The seats were ok, not the most comfortable, but not bad. The narration in English was excellent. I could put up many photos and a few videos of tight under-bridge passages, beautiful buildings, interesting boats, and so on. I'll leave that task to others, and keep my review uncluttered. Boat rides are great fun, young or old, no matter the level of fitness. Avoid the heat of the day, maybe aim at the final cruise of the day, and I believe you'll enjoy it.

I like being on the water. Put me on a boat so I can explore the city while also sitting for an hour or so and I am happy gal. So on my next-to-last day in the city, needing to kill a little time before a museum opened up, and wanting to rest my feet for a spell...I hopped on a Netto boat tour. Also...because I had already done the other boat tour included with the Copenhagen Card. The boats are a little dingier and dirtier than some other tour companies. And they pack the boats full. You may not have much personal space on a busy day. But you get a full circle tour of the city from the water and you get to be on a boat for an hour. So...*shrug* So I stand by the Canal Tours being much better. But I think as long as you get to do a boat tour during your time in town, any one will do.

"Look ma, I'm on a boat!"…read more No, it's not that kinda boat, but it serves its purpose and floating along Copenhagen's canals on a clear, crisp day is really romantic. SIGH. It's so romantic, we decided to kiss every time the boat goes under the bridge. And people! there are MANY bridges on this tour, over 20 in fact, but who's counting? If you're not a romantic, the practical purpose of this tour is to catch your bearings. Whenever I'm somewhere new, I always opt for the best mode of transportation to see the city. And here, it's best seen on the water. You'll pass the famous Little Mermaid, the impressive Opera House, the upscale Christianshavn neighborhood, Vor Freslers Kirke, etc. The tour lasts about 60 minutes and costs 60 Dkk (that's only $10!) and it's the best tour given in Danish and English. Don't go to the DFS company, they charge twice as much for the same exact tour.

I would agree that this business should have refunded them, so that was kind of crummy. I mean it's not like we have a pandemic everyday or that it was some BS excuse. I booked the 90 min HotDays experience which allows 5 people to book a tub (they don't have to be in the same group) and if there are 5 people booked, they do arrange for a HotDays experience, which is pretty good for 350DKK for 90 minutes, that's much cheaper than a similar indoors NYC experience I had recently, haha. Staff were very nice and bless their hearts today for working as it was about as nasty as it could get outside really. It was cold, very windy and rainy and the staff here basically had on waterproof snowsuits on and were all very chipper and helpful! We were shown to male and female changing rooms and also given a tour of the place. We were assigned a hot tub and then we were shown our communal sauna (electric) and the 3 cold plunge tubs available. Changing rooms were warmer and dry and served it's purpose. They asked us to only collect towels AFTER our experience and I appreciated that as you didn't see the place filled with dirty wet towels everywhere. I started off in the 100C sauna and my goodness it was hot with also 20% humidity. After about 10-15 min of this, I got pretty hot, so I took a dunk in the 4C cold plunge for about 10-15 seconds and then came back to the sauna. That was an amazing feeling honestly. Loved it! I did that for a couple of more cycles of hot and cold. Next, around the 45 min mark, I climbed into the hot tub and the other 4 people were already there. It was already quite cozy and 5 people is the max really. There is a slightly higher bench seating too and one of the girls opted to sit up there with some of her upper body exposed. The hot tub was at 40C and pretty warm and while the weather was just awful, siting in the hot tub made it so much nicer and even pleasant! I could have soaked for hours in that hot tub! By the 90 min mark, staff will come get you and then you're back to the changing room and voila! That's your 90 min experience and I loved every minute of it! Definitely give this place a try when in CPH even if the weather isn't great (actually that's the best time to come), they do on occasion shut down the business if weather is really crazy but I lucked out today. The place also sells drinks but I didn't buy any, I think its also BYOB, just check their FAQ on their website. No food though allowed in here and I didn't see anyone eating. We also know that cold plunge and hot sauna has health benefits so definitely come here to relax and also do something for your health! This was really the best way to ring in the New Year and I just couldn't have asked for a better day. The staff said that bad weather makes the experience all that much better and I would agree! And for the price of this experience, it's a steal with amazing views of urban CPH! I could see CopenHill from our hot tub and even the little lit up Xmas tree from the top. Was just lovely!

You can never be sure of the weather in Copenhagen and it was supposed to be sunny but wound up raining and cold. We asked for a refund and they said they don't give refunds even if it's raining. Had we known that we wouldn't have bought tickets in advance which you have to do if you want to get a boat on most days. How can you refuse refunds for boat rides that won't be bought by anyone else because it's raining? The first theft! We were told that they were watching the weather and the rain would stop in about 20 minutes but it never did. It got lighter for a short while and we saw other people with ponchos coming back. We'd spent almost $300 on the trip so rather than lose the money we decided to go out thinking the rain would let up, it didn't. So we asked for 3 of the ponchos we saw other people wearing. They said sure and pulled out three tiny packets of the thinnest cheapest plastic ponchos that didn't go past your butt and THEY CHARGED US $6 FOR EACH ONE!! The second theft! Talk about adding insult to injury these scumbags capitalize further on their non refundable boat rides by charging you more money for what is essentially the thinnest cheapest plastic garbage bags with a hole on the end and a hood that doesn't cover your head. Guarantee you these ponchos cost them about 30 cents a piece yet they charge the ridiculous sum. At the very least if you won't refund my money give me the crappy plastic poncho for free. Absolute scumbag move. On top of all that they hardly give you any instructions except forward, reverse and then tell you that if you hold the rudder slightly wrong the whole thing will pop out of the mechanism which it did multiple times when we were underway. Horribly unsafe. I can't believe this place has decent reviews on here or that it's still open. If you insist on going just please don't book in advance or you'll quite possibly have an experience as bad or worse than ours. And also if you want a better trip don't use a boat with hand rudder. They have other boats with steering wheels which are probably better but I bet if you turn them to far to the right the whole helm collapses! Thanks for ruining one of our 7 days in Copenhagen go boat! Hope you go out of business soon!
