Honey oolong tea with bubbles, less ice
    Mariam R.

Best bubble tea around! I love it more than the Minneapolis location because the workers are always friendly and helpful as well as welcoming. Always greeting you with a smile! The bubble tea that I always get is Honey Oolong tea but I've also tried Taro and a couple others I can't remember off the top of my head. Today I got the honey oolong tea without milk and added bubbles/tapioca pearls (can't have my bubble tea without em!) And it is sooo delicious! It's already sweet with 70% sweetness (the normal amount). I think if I got it again, I would get 50%. But I still loved it..just trying to decrease my sugar intake (unsuccessfully I admit). Best thing about this location is that there is a parking lot! It's small and cramped but it's better than none at all! I also love the interior of this location. It's always clean, well-kept, and well-decorated. Even the exterior has character as it's located in an old house. Definitely coming back when I'm in Rochester next.

    My favorite!!

I'm from LA so I have very high standards in terms of my boba/bubble tea!! When I searched for boba on Yelp and saw a Kung Fu Tea in Rochester, I was beyond ecstatic!!! I LOVE BOBAAA. I'm not going to lie but in the summers, I actually have one boba a day. That's how much I love my boba :) Since Kung Fu Tea is a famous chain and I've tried their boba in Los Angeles, I knew what to expect and knew exactly what to order. You seriously can't go wrong with anything at Kung Fu Tea - from their milk teas, green teas, shakes, slushies, etc. I even love their pudding toppings. My usual go to is the passion fruit green tea with boba and nata jelly, less sugar. This is my all time fave but their other drinks are really good and also worth a try! I hope this place does really well and stays in Rochester :)

My #1 go-to boba place in Rochester! Kung Fu Tea is a great spot for tea- delish and staffed by wonderful people! I like that you can adjust sweetness for most drinks. My go-to is oolong milk tea, 30% sweet, less or no ice. They are generous with their toppings. Love their boba and pudding. Boba texture is consistently spot on for me. As an avid SoCal boba drinker, I am soo glad Kung Fu Tea is here in Rochester now when I come to visit. Trying to study or get some work done? It does have a few outlets and free, fast wifi. Just FYI, not complaining- the tables may be a little small for studying with two large laptops and additional materials but definitely great if you don't have much with you or are by yourself. The service has been great, as well, and I spend a good amount of time studying there so I've seen how nicely they often treat their customers. Testament to this is how they've memorized my drink and know my friends and I on a first name basis. They make me feel at home and welcomed every time I walk in. Overall, highly recommend this place for drinks!!

"Taro milk tea" that tastes and looks nothing like taro. It tasted like water and black tea. sticking with Tea time.

I have been to Kung-Fu tea in other states and to this location twice prior to this day, and hadn't had any significant issues. And I usually always get the same drink. However, this time I was really disappointed in the service. I ordered a taro milk tea (no boba and less ice) like always, and right off I noticed that the color was different. It looked like a plain black milk tea and It didn't taste like there was any taro at all. I let them know that i was a little concerned that it tasted different from usual and not like taro. The lady then proceeded to scold me and deny it (she clearly made it wrong and was gearing up for an argument). It was a very uncomfortable situation and I didn't want it to turn into a conflict, so we just left. I feel that was very poorly handled. Rather than losing a frequent customer, they could have offered to remake it into the drink that was paid for. On a side note, they also have a history of getting orders wrong and scolding you to not forget next time when you clearly repeated it twice. All in all, very poor customer service.

Two delicious bubble tea. Winter Melon Milk Green Tea and Taro Milk Tea.

At the patio enjoying these amazing bubble tea. We will surely be tasting the other flavors they have. Great service and awesome people.

One thing to note is that the address for Drift Dough isn't the address for Old Abe's Coffee, and I am not sure if that's an address for the bakery or something, but all signs pointed towards the donut shop being inside Old Abe's, so that's where we went. I got the ube donut (the purple one), and as someone originally from Hawaii, it was really great to see ube flavor is making it out to the Midwest now! The flavor is not super strong in the donut, so if you haven't had ube before, I think this would be a nice, mild introduction. My husband got the raised Tiramisu donut, and while he liked it, it's definitely bigger than the cake donuts and was a bit too much donut and frosting for him, but your mileage may vary (I like to think my stomach has a special compartment just for donuts, because it always seems that way, LOL). We got a nice cold brew with oat milk to wash the donuts down, and we will definitely be back next time we're in town!

This super trippy coffee shop kills it harder than Abe in "The Godfather" when it comes to delivering the goods! Heavenly vegan donuts, that is. Wait...wrong Abe? My sister and I are not vegans, but we stopped here for breakfast several days in a row on our way to the Mayo Clinic earlier this year purely out of curiosity. It was really helpful in the ordering process to see the various pretty donuts labelled and strung above the counter. We purchased almost all the flavors to bring to the hospital for our family to try, and the consensus was that the ube and the plum lime were possibly the most delicious donuts we've had anywhere! Honestly! Other outstanding flavors included the tiramisu, the banana stand, and the blueberry crumble. As delightful as the donuts were, I was disappointed in my drink orders. I could only get through a few sips of both my dirty chai latte and the Almond Joy coffee. Old Abe gives some hardcore psychedelic vibes to the point that I wondered if a hallucinogen had been slipped into my coffee before heading into the ladies' room. 1,000 cats hissing at you from the walls will cause you to question your sanity! The rest of the décor was just as wild, from THE Minnesota Prince to an apocalyptic Godzilla declaring that the end was near. The question "1880's stage actor assassin or the bear" might apply in the polka dot room, so it's best to sit facing out with your back against a wall...regardless of which Abe the shop is named after. If the apocalypse, John Wilkes Booth, wildlife, the Chief of the Waponis, or the mob takes me out to sleep with the fishes, and I come back in my next life as the leader of a subversive cult, I'll have to revisit the book room of this shop to view their anarchist primers. Also, I'm sending these donuts to McConaughey as a bribe. He's a fan of Lincolns, so maybe he'll do an Old Abe commercial where he contemplates the meaning of life while noshing on a ube donut. Penny for your thoughts?

There was an older gentleman at the display case, probably the owner, and a few younger gals working. After entering the store, we were greeted by no one, just quick stares. When ready to order, it took more than ten minutes to be acknowledged, bummer. The coffee was okay at best, but the donuts were amazing! Probably the best in Rochester. We sat downstairs, but we've heard the staff tell other customers that there were saying upstairs. After finding a seat and people watching, we noticed that the staff were much more attentive to other customers. It's hard to not feel like this was a race-based issue, esp being the only minorities in the shop. Either or, I guess it was an experience, I don't plan on visiting again. I'll stick to Cafe Aqui-- they've got great coffee, delicious snacks, wonderful staff and a welcoming atmosphere.

A tasty choice (check out the photo). Then I asked for a reuben sandwich with a side of fries. I really liked the two-tone rye bread. There was modest amount of corned beef. Notice I didn't say 'generous.' The kraut, Swiss cheese, and thousand island dressing were a solid compliment. BUT the fries.... Check out the photo and look at the fries. These were double dunked in oil, greasy and sogged out, slightly charred, and meh tasting. I looked over at another patron's plate of food and saw her fries looked perfect. Golden, single dunk in oil, and crisp. Can I add a sad face emoji here? I called over the bartender and had him look at my fries, then look at the other patron's, and tell me the difference. He saw what I saw. I told him what was wrong with mine and asked why. He apologized and said he'd take 50% off my food bill. I saw him go back to the kitchen and have a conversation about my fries, which I appreciated. He didn't blow me off and let the kitchen know they dropped the ball. I've eaten at a lot of places from dives to fine dining, and I think the sign of good eatery is one that can excel at the basics.....like french fries. Plus, when you have your "A" staff working in the kitchen, but your staff sends out subpar fries to a customer...what does that say about the kitchen staff and leadership? Will I go back? Not sure, but there other places I've eaten at in Rochester that are consistently good. If I ever have family or friends in town and we go out to eat, we're not going to Forager Cafe.

There was live entertainment there that evening and the performance was good, however when the volume is such that you cannot have a conversation with the people at your table, it's a bit too loud.
