We talk a lot about various topics, especially food and bubble tea. We first bonded over York University. He was doing his undergraduate degree there. I did mine there and it feels like eons ago. When I first found out about this CoCo opening by the Keele campus, I let him know. "Where is it?" he asked me. "Off campus, on Keele, slightly north of The Pond Road," I said. "Got it. I'll check it out." It became his bubble tea place during his last semester and stint at York University. Last weekend, I was in the area reminiscing and realized that I had yet to visit this CoCo. I decided that it was time. I wish that this plaza full of food, beverages, and more was there when I was an undergraduate. It was nothing by a vast field then. I'm so glad that there are more options for students, besides staying on campus and heading to York Lanes. There was lots of parking in this plaza. I parked fairly close to CoCo and walked in. Two staff members greeted me. One asked if I had a takeout order. Nope. I ordered the following items: - Strawberry black tea with coconut jelly (my usual) - Pudding milk tea (August special) I got both with no sugar and less ice, which is also my usual. I paid with my debit card and tipped. Easy peasy. What I love about this store is that it caters to students who need to study while having some bubble tea. There are lots of plugs available to charge your laptop or phone. It didn't take long for my drinks to be made. The man put them in a bag and carefully handed it over with the handles up for me to grab. It was such a lovely gesture. I thanked him, we both said take care to each other, and I happily left with my goodies. Staff are super nice here. They are great. I love CoCo because the drinks are consistent in flavour no matter which one you visit. It was the case with my strawberry black tea with coconut jelly. It is my favourite drink. You get lots of real strawberries and coconut jelly. This place does not skimp on either. The black tea is strong and all flavours made my tastebuds incredibly happy. I first got into pudding at my local CoCo. I got to sample some and loved it. If you like milk tea with pudding, the pudding milk tea is excellent. It has a strong tea flavour, but balanced nicely with the creamy milk. I loved the pudding. It was slightly sweet, but highly enjoyable. I love this CoCo. I'll be back when I'm in the area. (297)

Tip: Get the high mountain pouchong tea with lemon juice and konjac. It's delicious!…read more After having a not-so-stellar Yelp experience at Ramin Isshin, I left the eatery with fellow Yelper friend, Jason. I felt like getting a drink. I noticed this Chicha San Chen and wanted to check it out. Jason joined me to work off some of the ramen that he had devoured. I've been to the Chicha San Chen at CF Markville. This store is at least twice as big as that location. There were plenty of places to sit down and enjoy your tea. I had a couple of fruity sparkling drinks at the CF Markville place. I was going to ask the man behind the counter if he had them. Instead, he said that he'd be back and I could look at the menu. It was delivered in a not-now-I'm-busy tone. It was odd. It's the only reason why this place doesn't get five stars. I'm so glad that Jason was with me. He said that the woman at CF Markville suggested that he get the high mountain pouchong tea with lemon juice and konjac. I decided to go with this drink. I got this drink with less sugar and less ice. I paid with my debit card on my phone. I tapped and was done. It didn't take much time for this drink to be made. It was nice chatting up a storm with Jason as we waited. The moment of truth was here. My drink was ready. I took a sip. It was awesome! The foam tasted like lemon meringue. The tea was perfect with the lemon juice. The konjac was chewy. I haven't had konjac since I visited Song Tea eons ago (rest in bubble tea peace). I wish that this drink came in a larger size. I drank it too fast... haha! I had a great experience with my friend's recommendation. I like that there's lot of parking in this plaza. I'd return again for more good bubble tea. Maybe staff will be more cheerful then. (437)

While we were waiting for our drinks we sat at this really cute window nook and just took in the peacefulness. The server was very helpful with tea selections and knew which teas paired with what flavours. I got the non caffeinated tea (picture) with honey, no sugar, with grassy, and no ice. My wife had a mango tea with foam. Our drinks were perfect. I love that it was zero fuss. Surprisingly not very busy but we did just have a killer snowstorm. I'm definitely coming back here more often.

The Cookie Butter Latte was already sold out when we arrived, but we got to try the Cinnamon Latte and Brown Sugar Spanish Oat Latte from their new signature drink additions. Both had a strong espresso base that still let the cinnamon and brown sugar flavors shine. The Hanoi Egg Coffee instantly brought us back to Vietnam. It was rich, creamy, custardy, and exactly what we'd been craving since our trip. If our caffeine tolerance allowed it, we'd happily work our way through the entire menu in one sitting. The cafe itself has a cozy, welcoming atmosphere that's perfect for catching up with friends, studying, or enjoying a board game date. They also carry a selection of Vietnamese snacks, baked goods, and seasoning kits to recreate your favorite dishes at home. Between the warm staff and inviting space, it's the kind of place you'll want to keep coming back to.

She recommended the roasted coconut milk tea, and the pandan lotus milky. The roasted coconut was lovely, with crunchy bits of coconut, which gave the drink a unique flavor. You don't see a lot of drinks with Pandan, however, they do it really well here. We will be back to try other flavours when we get the craving for some good tea.
