I always have fun here and end up bringing people from out of town since it has so many activities. I've never had the food, but drinks are pretty basic. I like that they have events and themed nights where they'll switch up or make special drinks such as the Barbie theme they did last year. Loved when they had the hidden goonies bar but I don't think this is around or at least not open the past few times I've been there. Missing a star for cleanliness. Understandably it's more of a college and/or YA bar but the bathrooms and surrounding area are always a mess and you can normally smell it way outside the bathroom. read more

I came in here last night for the first time and initially I loved it. However, one of the bartenders who works here needs a serious attitude adjustment. He is downright rude and bad for business. I came up last night and ordered four high noons. It was my second time with the same bartender. I prefer to close my tab each time if I'm not sitting at the bar which is my choice because I don't want to forget to at the end of the night. When I give the guy my card he asked "open or closed?" I say "closed please!" To which he responded "why so you can come up 7 times and order the same thing?" I'm shocked. First off you asked a question and I answered. Second, your job is to open and close tabs and third this is not even a thing we are going to fight about. So I say "yeah... if that's what I want to do?" He continues to give me such attitude and be a complete jerk. For what. To be fair, it was 4 in the afternoon when we came here, so there weren't many people around except the staff. The place has a really cool vibe with A LOT of activities for us young-at-heart. Skee ball, various vintage and newer video games, many which are free. Ping pong outside with many areas to sit with friends. See saws for adults! Plus two rooms for karaoke! I'm sure during their busier times one wouldn't be able to do many of the things they have available. They have a full bar with many in-house suggestions with funny names. Me and my friends had such an awesome time at King Fu Saloon. We reserved a private room for karaoke and we enjoyed it so much. The prices were also great -- we stayed for 2 hours and got a great deal! The music selection is easy to navigate unlike other karaoke bars I've been to in the past. There's also arcade games and outdoor games in addition to the karaoke which is nice. Definitely recommend stopping by! read more

We were excited to drop by while in Nashville because of the photos we saw on here but as soon as we arrived we felt a little mislead. It's pretty rundown where 50% of the games don't work at all. Their bathrooms were rundown and not the cleanest. I hope they're maybe just in a transition period and working on getting some arcade games that work. The bad and ugly - this place while supposedly appealing to all is a joke when it comes to a number of things: drinks, customer service and environment. The drinks are watered down and taste like pond water on a good day. The bartender at the main bar did try to mix it and offered to make a new one for me so that wasnt bad. The other bartended (skinny black guy with a bushy beard and a onesie) was the rudest bartender you could ever meet. He made the most watered down version of a lemon drop that you could ever drink, sighed loudly in my face after asking him to make 6 of them, and his comments were rude as well. Hey dude no need to be whiny because you have to actually work. I doubt the management/owner will address any of these concerns though. Oh and the buttons on half of the games dont even work correctly. This was my first time going there and it will definitely be my last. Unfortunately after traveling hours to visit Nashville for our friends bachelorette, our LGBTQ+ friend was denied access to Kung Fu because of a pair of blue vintage joggers and one friend with black shorts. I could clearly see that "athletic wear" wasn't acceptable but "khakis, and wedges" were. I think there's a bigger issue here, but we gathered our crew who was inside and left the establishment. As a group of tourist, it would be informative to put the dress code on the site, not on a plain sheet of paper with 11 font. And then say, "that type of attire is acceptable before 8pm", really sir? I've been to a few other locations in the US so I knew this was the spot to hit when visiting Nashville on a Friday night. The concept is a bar that has arcade games. Great concept! Upon arriving in the rain, it was semi packed. The place seemed a bit smaller than other locations. Games are spread out throughout the venue. All require quarters, except for skeeball and shuffle board. Many of the games weren't working properly. Some ate up quarters. The skeeball had 2 of it's 5 machines down. The dj was laying it down. Super cool little spot. Went specifically for the beetlejuice pop up which was really neat! Outside of that they have a huge inside with arcade games such as skee ball and basketball shoot things! I got lucky and found an AirBNB right in the middle of all the bars in Midtown (Johnny Cash's old pad they say). So I made a visit here during my tour of some of the bars in this part of Nashville I haven't visited before. Kung Fu Saloon is a national chain and I usually avoid those like the plague BUT they do have video games and I need to play my old school video games. The outside area looked cool and also had games but there were no people out there as it was cold and a slow rain was drizzling down during my visit. I have driven past this bar during nicer and warmer times of year and it has been much more active so I need to make another visit when the weather is nicer on one of my future trips to Nashville. read more

Some jerks kept coming in our room and dancing in front of the window and laughing at my daughter and her friends. Yes, I left a Very generous tip since she was flying solo, but then to charge my card for the same amount, for an additional tip!! Exploring some late night activities around the Nashville area, some friends showed us this place which is an adult arcade type of place (alcohol + games). A lot of the games seem to be free, with the basketball being $1 a game which is honestly a really good price compared to the one type of place I went in NYC where you won't really enjoy fully unless you spend $30+. We stopped here after grabbing brunch on Sunday. The pace wasn't super busy when we got there (maybe 3 other groups) so that meant we got our drinks fast. This is what made us stay: on Sundays the games are free!! They have a multitude of arcade games, ski ball, basketball, and games outside like jenga and connect 4. They even started up the guitar hero which was showing we had to pay for free! They also have seesaws which were really fun! The drinks weren't exactly remarkable and they were unable to make a side car however since they said they didn't have congac. Would definitely recommend if you're trying to find a fun bar in midtown. Pro tip: this bar does have a speak easy inside that is only open during the night hours. The theme of this area changes regularly, so be sure to visit multiple times! read more

What a fun bar!! Kung Fu Saloon is unique in it's large space utilized for a chill night out. There are karaoke rooms, skee ball, pinball machines & other old fashioned games. There are indoor and outdoor bars to take advantage of, at a much more affordable price then the bars on broadway. It's pretty empty till about 11 or 12, and then the lines start to build up, so either get in early or be prepared to wait for a bit. This is a great place to watch a game, hang out with friends, drink, and eat! There are plenty of other bars and restaurants around as well to take advantage of. read more

We were disappointed as soon as we walked in, as there weren't as many games as pictures on their website showed. Even more disappointed to find many of the arcade games are $4/each. Further disappointed to that 3 out of the 3 video game machines we tried either weren't working at all - or had malfunctions that prevented you from finishing the game. We reported all the broken games to a manager who was very apologetic and offered us a refund on the games - but did not fix them or try to stop other customers after us from using them. He just said they know it's a problem. Since this was a group birthday outing, we didn't just want to leave - so we figured we'd forget about video games and just have a drink at the bar. While having our drinks I told the bartender how disappointed I was that all the games we tried were broken, since I'd planned this as a birthday celebration for someone who loves arcade games. The bartender said they don't have much budget for maintenance of the games and it's a common complaint. I understand this place is a chain, clearly one corporate has given up on maintaining and just squeezing the last ounces of bar sales they can get until they close down - but at LEAST hang signs on the broken games to stop more people from feeding quarters into them all night. If you're looking here, try Headquarters Beercade downtown instead. Or if you're looking to stay in Mid-Town, head next door to Winners and Losers. All are better options than this spot. read more

Three words: so. Much. Fun. Kung fu saloon is one of the best spots I've been to in Nashville. They have so many games & interactive activities like free skeeball and seesaws (you're never too old for a seesaw, right?). Last night, I had the pleasure of renting out one of their karaoke rooms with some friends and it was so so worth it. It's $25 to rent it for an hour, so if you're splitting the cost between friends, it's really not too expensive. They also have an excellent selection of songs and ones that they don't offer internally, you can usually find on their community selections. My only complaints are that the microphones kept dying and our waitress was a bit rude, but she was likely just overwhelmed by the busy night. Overall a great spot, would recommend in general and definitely recommend the karaoke. read more

I wanted to love this place but it just kinda missed the mark for me. Going in I had expectations of every other barcade out there: fun drinks and vintage arcade games. While Kung Fu Saloon did technically have both of those things (all 3 of those stars are for the drink!) I was surprised that the games weren't all free. There are 5 or 6 skiballs that are kinda run down that are free, and shuffle board/ a slightly broken foosball table, but other than that, inside you have to pay for all the games. I will say visually it was awesome! The patio was beautiful and had connect four, giant Jenga and ping pong tables. Unfortunately it was a little too windy to take advantage of that, but I imagine that would have increased my rating a little. I tried the Sassypants and asked to have it made into a drink instead of a shot. It was DELICIOUS! I would go back just for that! If I find myself back in Nashville I would stop by to give Kung fu another chance, but I wouldn't go specifically for it. read more

Sooo this was our stop after a lovely boozy brunch. Coming from New Orleans this spot gives me Barcadia vibes. It's an adult arcade/lawn game themed open bar and patio. Points for free Skee Ball and their old school arcade wallpaper. This was a midday visit so I can't give my ops about a late night romp to this game-laden haven. I will say it was quite the noon time sausage fest and probably had at least three guys say inappropriate things to me while attempting the Mario Kart arcade game and regular size Jenga. Bros, telling a girl she "drives like a woman" while she's playing Mario Kart arcade or hating on her choice to play regular size Jenga rather than giant Jenga will never, never win you brownie points. What will win you brownie points is when Mike the bartender doesn't shame you for overindulging at the brunch spot and ALSO makes you a glass of water. AND entertains your bachelorette' desire for a traditional daiquiri. Thanks, Mike! They also let me my friend hit the gong. One of the bartenders, we'll call him angsty Keith Urban, wasn't AS enthused with our group but it strikes me as just who he is. Just a heads-up. The patio was great with ping pong, cornhole, giant Jenga, and a prison style seesaw that was quite entertaining. I think if I lived here I'd be down to come with a group to enjoy an afternoon of friendly competition.
