Kumon made a huge difference in my school workload by helping me get ahead in both math and English. The daily practice built up my foundational skills, making new topics in class much easier to grasp and keeping my grades up. Instead of feeling stressed during exam prep, I feel completely confident in my studies and ahead of the curve. It really taught me discipline and self-learning habits that pay off every day in and out of the classroom. read more

Sanny is a wonderful instructor and is passionate about helping her students find success in their learning. This is a great Kumon Center. Pros: - it's a small center which I love because it's more personal and intimate. I've been to larger centers where it's extremely crowded and you don't really feel a connection. - the center director (Ms. Sanny) is very approachable, kind, and attentive. If you have a concern, she is always willing to listen and help. She was also a former math teacher so she knows what she is teaching! - they are very flexible and accommodating. If you have to miss class, just let the director know and she will provide makeup work or whatever you need. - the teachers are all sweet and patient with the kids. - the most important reason: my kids have grown so much doing a year of Kumon! Kumon teaches you to work hard, be diligent and grow! My son learned how to read before he stared kinder thanks to this program and he's made nice progress! Cons: - the only con is that this center is only open on Tuesdays and Fridays. So if you can't come on those days, you donreally have any other option. - not a tutoring center. Kumon method is arithmetic repetition. Probably will not work for all students but worth a try! read more

As someone who went through Kumon almost three decades ago, I know how important Kumon is for my children's future. Out of all the Kumon Centers I went to in my area, I felt this one was by far the best. Unlike most other instructors, it's easy to tell that Ms. Sanny's motivation and passion is to help students progress in their math and reading skills. Not only is she willing to spend extra time with students that need the extra attention, but she is also willing to advise parents on how to make the most of Kumon and help their child succeed (if the parents are willing to listen). After 2 years of Kumon, my oldest child's math skills has already advanced two grade-levels above his class and he has qualified for the Math Olympics this year. After a year, my youngest's math & reading skills have shown significant improvement - so much that her teacher has asked me how she has advanced so much in one year. The answer is KUMON... with a passionate instructor that cares! : ) read more

Ms. Sanny is THE BEST! My kids have been attending this center for a few years now and we are so fortunate to have found this Kumon Center. Ms. Sanny is kind, caring, patient, organized, and very experienced. She knows how to set the right course work to maximize potential. We have other Kumon Centers closer to us, but we chose this center because of the great reviews and have not been disappointed. Ms. Sanny always takes time out to answer any questions we have and to speak to us about any concerns. She holds parent-teacher conferences to keep parents apprised of the student's progress. Ms. Sanny also takes time to work with students individually when they encounter difficulties with the homework. She has not only helped my kids make significant progress in math and reading, but also to teach to them good study habits like time management, being focused and organized, and to have good penmanship. We highly recommend her and this Kumon Center! read more

The best Kumon center! If you want someone that cares, is organized, really picks up your child's individual learning style....Mrs. Sanny is the best! I started my daughter around 4 years of age and went to a few different Kumon's and experienced different teaching styles. When Mrs. Sanny took over the center when my daughter was 6 years old....after a few weeks I was so surprised how well she knew how to direct my daughter to maximize her potential! She truly is more then a teacher...she is invested in the future of her students and has been a mentor for me! I have learned different ways to helping my daughter progress in Kumon and in life! Thank you Mrs. Sanny and your wonderful staff! read more

Ms. Sanny is really amazing with the kids. I saw it first hand when I was working there as her assistant. She knows exactly which kid needs more attention and she will assign one of the assistant to deal with the kid or help the kid herself. She basically treats all the kids as of her own. Not only that, Ms. Sanny is a really great teacher. Her explanation is simple and easily understandable by the kids. I highly recommend all parents out there to enroll their kids in Ms. Sanny's Kumon. read more

This location has the best teachers and the best management. My daughter has been going to another Kumon for a couple of years and she did not like it at all! I started bringing her to this location a few months ago because her best friend has been coming to this location for the last 6 years and recommend this location. Guess what? my daughter actually likes Kumon now, she has shown significant improvement in math, and her school moved her to accelerated math classes. Ms. Sanny Suharto is the best and I am grateful for her. She listens to you and works with your schedule and tries hard to make the learning fun! I highly recommend this Kumon. read more

We have put our kids at other kumon centers but the one in lake forest with Miss Sunny has proven to be the most effective one for our kids. Miss Sunny gives a level of attention to her kids I have not seen from other tutoring centers. Our kids have shown significant improvement in both their study habits as well as their grades. Totally recommend Kumon and specifically Miss Sunny's center because of the care and and attention she gives to her kids. read more

I could tell my daughter was falling behind in her reading. So at first I bought books off of Amazon and tried to help her on my own. Unfortunately, that didn't work. So then I tried Kumon and it worked! Now I want to be honest Kumon doesn't work over night and it does take time and dedication but if you and your child put in the work I promise you will get results! Today, after 6 months of Kumon my daughter told me that she enjoys reading! She had never said that before and it just made me so happy! It is so great because now that her reading has improved she is doing better in all of her school subjects. If your child is behind on reading please don't walk but run to this Kumon! Ms. Sanny is wonderful and it I promise you won't regret it! read more

Great learning center, very nice staff. We've noticed improvement within one month for both our kids.

The director here, Sanny, is terrific. She genuinely cares about the kids here and you can tell she is not in it just to make some coin. Don't get me wrong, she will really push the kids to succeed, but she does it in an extremely caring and nurturing way. My 4th grader does both math and reading and we see a difference in his abilities in both subject areas. Bottom line, if I could give this place 6 stars, I'd give it 7!! read more

Mrs Sonny is hands on and is strict, firm but always gentle in the way she teaches. My son have been coming here since he was 6 and now 7 year later, his little sister joins. Although there are Kumon closer to home for me, I choose her teaching style and how she runs her center. Thank You Mrs Sonny for all you do!!! read more

Great Kumon center! My daughter has improved so much in both reading and math in only six months. She was not understanding her school system's "common core" math and was hopelessly falling behind. My daughter has been going to this Kumon since she was in the first grade and now she is in third grade. My daughter has improved in her writing, reading, and math skills. Since,I was busy working most afternoons, when my daughter got out of school, I was rarely able to help her with her school work. Thanks to Kumon and the exceptional help of Sanny, the manager/director of the Lake Forest South Kumon, my daughter has excelled in her school work. Sanny really cares for all the kids in Kumon and it shows by how much attention she puts in each child's learning needs. She is like a mom to all the children and her personality definitely shows it. I would have never thought that a pace like Kumon would help my child improve her grades, enjoy learning, and have fun in school. Now she does most of her school work with ease. I would strongly recommend this Kumon to any parent looking for help with their child's academic success. . read more
