The monthly progress report is also very helpful for parents to monitor how the students are doing in achieving their academic goals, needless to say that the facility provides a wide variety of tutors with different coaching methods. They even helped her prepare for a math test tomorrow and kept working with her till she felt 100% confident. They kept her way beyond the initial hour we were signed up for. This was exactly what we needed for our 6th grader during the COVID-19 school shutdowns. They made math fun for our son and he really learned a lot. I don't know how this place is getting 5 stars! What a complete waste of money and time. Our daughter has been with Mathnasium for almost a year...only because we paid for a whole year in advance, otherwise we would've cancelled a long time ago. She's still behind in math at school after taking Mathnasium for several months. They don't want her to bring her math homework either. We started doing online classes and each time my husband or I listen in. Their methods of teaching or amateur. Today I had it! She was doing class online today. They were good checking up with her for the first half hour. And then the last half hour she repeatedly asked for help. No answer. Then I tried to ask for help for her. Still no answer!!!! So I called the center, I told them about the situation. The guy at the other end of the line stuttered. Couldn't even say sorry, or have a professional answer! I told him I am unhappy with Mathnasium and he says "sounds good!" That's his answer! Sounds good! I tried to call them back to talk to a supervisor but now goes straight to voicemail. We absolutely love Mathnasium! My 3 children (12-10-7 years old) have been attending for a few months now and all of them look forward to their sessions. The staff is very helpful and friendly and they truly go above and beyond for their students. Last Sunday we mistakenly arrived before their shutdown time and they let my kids stay for an hour over their closing time which show how much they care for their students. I am not surprised to be the first one writing a review for Mathnasium University since they opened only few months ago. It will be just a way for me to thank and appreciate the help and support they are giving my boys since we started almost 3 months ago! I finally found a place for my 5th graders in Math! The individualized help that they are given is already showing, this team know how to address each kid strength and weakness and they work on that. I believe that the skills and the good habits they are teaching them will take my kids to higher levels. They are encouraged everyday to give their best and learn with their amazing reward system. This is our third year at Mathnasium, and my daughters loves it! We have tried two other institutions before Mathnasium and she would always complain about the homework load and dreaded going. Mathnasium is a totally different experience, my daughter love all the staffs and even though we miss going to class in person and seeing the instructors in person, we find it surprising even more effective now that she is taking class online. The owner Randy is awesome at recruiting great staff, my daughter is happy with her instructors and many have become her mentor and role model (we miss you Irene!) Being so closely located to UCI, Randy has put together a great staff all who have great passion to teach and challenge my son who attends their program. They have made a tremendous impact in helping my son continue to think outside of the box in solving math problems. My son has been attending the learning center since the first week it opened. And even as the number of students have grown, the attention to the needs of my son and the progress he's made from the beginning until now is a testament to Randy and his team's ability and methodology in teaching math. My daughter (3rd grade) started attending Mathnasium in November 2014 after we moved to the area from the UK. She was struggling, but her math scores improved very quickly. She still has more work to do to get caught up, but we've been pleased. Ever since I joined Mathnasium I have noticed a huge difference in my grades and overall math knowledge. When I first joined Mathnasium, I was reluctant to come everyday, but as time goes on, I can see improvement in myself and my work. Part of my success through Mathnasium was because of the amazing coaches. All of the coaches individually have taught me important skills. They always have been there for me when I needed them for any type of support. My favorite instructor and the instructor that has provided me with the most help and support is Kenny. When my twin daughters first started at Mathnasium in December, their test scores at school were in the 70-80%. After just 2 months, they have moved into scoring in the 90%.
