We brought lunch which my aunt enjoyed tremendously. Apparently the food is bland and tasteless because they must serve healthy food. What we don't like: It is very noisy there which makes conversations difficult with older people. There is the car wash across the street with constant white noise, across the street is a 2 story commercial space and an alarm went off for nearly 1 hour! It was like torture at Guantanamo. They also play music over the loudspeakers in this patio where visitors and residents hang out. A few brought out their personal boom boxes and played music loudly. All I'm saying is hearing comprehension and hearing in general is harder for older people. They often have weakened vocal chords too so shouting and repeating oneself for 1 hour is exhausting. If it wasn't for noise level I'd give it a 4 stars and recommended it warmly for family.

My grandma had stayed in both at different times. Short term was for when she had surgery and needed rehab/after care. The most recent stay, she was in long term. I had been choosing ignorance and avoidance so I really didnt know what that meant. My grandma did have a roommate and it seemed she had been there for quite some time. A word slipped from a conversation with my dad and it was "hospice". I immediately lost it and started looking more into the reviews. I wasn't happy with reading others reviews but it gave me a better idea of what to expect. As Michael mentioned, this facility can cater to all their needs including near end of life *tear*. At that point I probably started my grieving process. Visiting this facility there was always a cloud over my head. There were some things that made it easier knowing she was here. There were trained nurses to cater to her. No smoking allowed. The potential to engage in activities and seeing others. Healthy meals were planned and prepared. So it's not all bad, just the stigma attached I guess. Check in station: table with sanitizer and disposable masks provided. Kiosk to enter your name & phone number. Info is saved for check out and future visits. Daily activities: there is a calendar posted with the daily activities for the month. Times are listed next to the activity and there were multiple activities daily. Karaoke, movie, bracelet making, casino... I wish I could say we enjoyed these activities but unfortunately I could never get gram in the mood to participate. But I appreciated it was an available option. Common area: spacious. Ample seating. Cable TV. Food: patients are able to choose their foods for the week. A menu is sent out and they just circle their choices. I've seen foods like baked chicken, poi, pork & eggplant, Mash potatoes, tea, milk... definitely good food choices. I'm sure there are tiered menus varying by price of meal plan. Unsure if there is a laundry service. As far as I know laundry is done by family members at home and brought back. I can see how this minimizes mix up with the many patients clothing. There is a salon on property. I'll need to dig around in my photos to see if I caught a menu. Unsure of pricing/services offered. Everything I am going to mention is just what I've seen and in no way accusatory... I don't think the facility is able to strap patients to their beds. With that being said, I was told that my grandmother fell out of her bed. I have tried to look around the bed for a call button but could never find one. I've asked my grandmother about it but her memory wasn't the best while she stayed here. Another thing I noticed during my visits was a woman across the hall yelling for help. One instance where a nurse tried to tend to her I did hear a lot of bickering about non sense completely unrelated to the issue she originally complained about. So I'm sure there's a lot of "the boy who cried wolf" cases. With everything that needs to be done with all the patients in the facility I'm sure it's not an easy task to tend to everyone when they call. It just was a bit concerning that I couldn't find a call button and in order to get assistance you'd need to yell out for someone. I believe if you go into the facility with a plan and ensure that the staff is on board with those plans, it could definitely help put family members at ease. In the future hopefully I have a clearer understanding of how to deal with situations like this and I hope others would prepare accordingly as well. There's lots of situations that are out of our hands and almost impossible to prepare for so my view on this facility is going to be neutral. Ultimately the fall did have an impact, but I wouldn't say that was the direct cause. There are areas of improvement, as always. And I hope that they can make some changes for the better. Anyone grieving can place blame on anything but I'm trying not to go down that rabbit hole for my sanity. There's a series of events that all lead up to one point and I'll leave it at that. My grandma did speak kindly about a couple of the nurses that tended to her. One would even bring her drinks and snacks from the vending machine down the hall. I'm sure that makes a world of difference to brighten patients days. I've heard no bad things about this facility and I haven't had any negative experiences myself while visiting.

He was excellent talking to children and parents, and suggested certain shots for them to take and gave sound advice. Unfortunately, he retired and now my son goes to Dr. Ryan Chung. He is also very nice and will explain thoroughly if we have any questions. Although appointments are always scheduled far in advance, they will fit us in when they can if my kids are sick, and I am reminded by email or text for appts scheduled far in advance. The front desk is always on it and if I have a question, the assistant or doctor will call within a day, usually after or close to closing. If their primary dr is off, there are 2 others that cover so I don't have to wait or find another doctor. They have a 2 story play area for little kids, and a hand sanitizer in the waiting room as well. Paid parking is in the building, but I always shop at pearlridge so I park at the pearlridge parking lot instead.

I love that this is close to home, and if one doctor is out of the office, another doctor will tend to you. We first saw Dr. Raymond Salazar as a referral from a friend. He appears to be young, but still smart, caring, and good bedside manner. Later we find out he is only at this location once a week. We've seen Dr. Sneider and Dr. Layugan and have enjoyed their services as well. My toddler seems to like Dr. Layugan a lot as she resembles one of her aunties, and is easy to talk to regarding any of her medical conditions.

Everyone that I had the honor of rehabilitating with, took EXCELLENT care of me!!! It was a very humbling and personable experience. I thought that being injured for so long, I would never regain function or feeling in my right foot and toes that had been numb for over 2 years. I've had nerve damage for over 24 years. Even, after surgery, the numbness was still there. However, during the 12th session in the Aqua Tank, I felt pain on the outside of my right foot and middle toe for the FIRST TIME IN 2 YEARS. So, the nerves are "waking up"?? Unfortunately, the pain was temporary and the numbness came back right away. It was always crowded, super long wait and I barely understood the doctor. I finally took matters into my own hands, looked online and found Alohi Clinic. Although I can't speak from first hand experience with the appointment, my other half had no complaints. But what I can say is booking online was easy for me and when I had to adjust times, calling was just as easy. There is a code to get into the building, which they give you, and the waiting area is a good space nice cool and quiet. They offer services like facials, hair removal, etc. but they also are an internal medicine practice so you can come for normal PCP stuff. It's pretty great. The wait is quick, the front desk is friendly and the office is clean. So far it's been great with this clinic and I'm glad we found it.

The staff at sweet success is also friendly and knowledgeable. Referred here twice by 2 different providers. We definitely recommend it here over Kapiolani's fetal diagnostics. They allow you to take pictures or video of the monitor during your visit. Also, they send you a link for the ultrasound images for your viewing. You can't do this at Kapiolani and will only get a long printout to take home that's only black and white. The wait time is also much shorter than Kapiolani. The only drawback is after covid, children are not allowed to the visit.

I was introduced to my therapist Karly. Karly is an excellent, friendly, and caring therapist. She is very attentive, a great listener, prompt, and always accommodating. She takes the time to explain each exercise and how it helps and benefits your body. She tailors the exercises to your individual needs to help promote healing and recovery as efficiently as possible. Karly carefully gauges the appropriate amount of weight for each exercise and makes adjustments when necessary. She also provides different options, allowing you to choose which exercises are most comfortable while still being effective and beneficial. She monitors your progress during every session and keeps detailed records of your progress on her laptop. She continually evaluates your improvement and adds or changes exercises when needed to make your therapy more effective. I really appreciate her professionalism, knowledge, patience, and genuine concern for helping me improve. Karly goes above and beyond to make every therapy session productive and comfortable. Extremely frustrating experience with Central Oahu Physical Therapy in Aiea…read more When Central Oahu Physical Therapy received my referral for lumbar pain, I waited an entire month just to begin treatment. I was scheduled for four weekly sessions, with my final appointment on 3/31/2026, where the physical therapist was supposed to evaluate whether I needed continued care. However, it makes no logical sense to have an evaluation when there are no further appointments available with the same physical therapist until May -- over a month away. This completely defeats the purpose of the evaluation and continuity of care. I spoke with the telephone receptionist, who also acts as the office manager. Her primary role is reception, yet she presented herself as if she were a decision maker. When I asked to have the owners call me, I was told to look them up on the website. She is not an owner and cannot make final decisions. The owners never called me. Instead, Physical Therapist Erin deNeeve Baum, an employee of Central Oahu Physical Therapy, called and left a message. I chose not to return the call because I did not want to speak with her. Oahu is a very small business community, and in a situation like this, a professional and concerned owner would have made a courtesy call. That did not happen. This office appears to have a serious breakdown in communication between the physical therapists and the front office. Rather than coordinated patient care, it feels like a system where patients are moved through a set number of visits without clear follow-through or continuity. It gives the impression that the focus is on bringing in more patients and generating revenue rather than providing effective, continuous care After four visits -- the first being mostly measurements and only three visits with minimal exercises -- I am still not better. Quite frankly, this was a waste of time. A friend shared exercises given by her own physical therapist that have been more helpful. Also, with today's technology, you would expect more modern patient support. Instead of printed paper exercise sheets, there should be access to a digital platform with guided videos and progress tracking. These types of exercises are easily found online, which makes the lack of added value from this office even more disappointing. If you are considering physical therapy, do your research and look elsewhere. Based on my experience, I would strongly caution against choosing Central Oahu Physical Therapy. You may end up frustrated, delayed in your care, and no better off than when you started. Patients deserve far better.
