I had moh's surgery by Dr Sameer Gupta for basal cell cancer of the scalp. Technically excellent, pain free, and he concluded by offering me a choice of wound closing techniques and giving me his cell # in case I had any concerns while recovering. The visit was not rushed, and he spent considerable time explaining everything and answering all questions. We a great conversion about the Millennium prize solution to the Navier-Stokes problem, the proof of Fermat's, ships, and other interesting topics while he operated. Dr Sameer is based out of Mass Eye & Ear, but does some work at Kuchnir (mine was on a Sunday). If I ever need this type of surgery again, I will seek him out even if I have to go to his Boston office. The medical assistants at this practice are gap year grads polishing their resume for med school applications. The one who assisted and did my suture removal (MIke) was excellent. I had a bad experience here with my one-year-old son. We were prescribed an ointment that, upon Googling, I realized was not meant for children under 16 in the concentration it had been prescribed. I called the office and left a message, asking about this. 24 hours later, I still had not heard back, so I called and left another message. A couple of hours after that, a nurse called me and said, "Oh, that's our bad." !!! They had, in fact, prescribed this in error (instead of a different ointment starting with "T"), and it would have been unsafe for my child. It took a chance Googling and two follow-up calls to find this out, and then there was not even an apology or concern, as if this kind of thing happens all the time with them. My bill for a five minute appointment where he checked my skin for moles and I gave him my medical update was $485.11, up from $340.21 last year. Went for a body check and wart removal. Nothing on the body. Didn't look like a wart to her the doctor so she took a chunk to send for diagnosis. I had less pain at my dentist. It turned out to be a wart. Lol. Then I was prescribed an ointment to apply myself. It worked for the first layer of the wart then it was too painful to apply after that. I stopped using it to allow the skin to heal before trying again Here is is six weeks later it is still painful. Too disappointed to even go back. read more

Very bizarre experience at the Shrewsbury office. I could hear the doctor diagnosing me to his assistant out in the hall before he'd even seen me, deciding on medication and everything just based on the few things I'd told her. Once he came in he kept making odd and condescending assumptions about my personal life that weren't even true. I wish I'd questioned him more, but I was sort of in shock and confused. He'd clearly made up his mind about my condition before he'd even come in the room and looked at me. The whole thing gave me the ick. Any time I've seen a man at this place they've been strange. I once went in for a rash and the doctor told me I should get checked for a thyroid condition. I went into panic mode until he told me that it had nothing to do with the rash, but because my eyes were a certain shade of blue. Time to find a new dermatologist's office. I'm done. read more

I actually like the doctors. I've found them to be helpful and professional. I've had several problems though. First, you can only talk about one thing per appointment. Do you want to talk about your actinic keratosis and rosacea? Even if the first issue took 3 minutes you've got to make another appointment. I assume this is a money issue. Either way I have to take more time off work and sit in the waiting room again. And it costs me a bunch more money. My second problem is appointments and administration. I had made appointments for 2 of my kids. The earliest they could see me (any doctor) was 6 or 8 weeks away. On the day of the appointment I arrived only to find that they had cancelled both appointments. They gave me one call from a number not associated with the doctors office the week before. I had no idea. The receptionist was no help at all. She could get me an appointment in a month or so. That was the best she could do. This was the last straw for me. read more

I just walked out of a visit with Dr Dabiri. I purposely made a 9:15 appointment (the earliest available) as to not have to wait. While waiting in the waiting room, receptionist was on a five minute personal call, and neither of the front desk girls were wearing masks; yet signs posted mask requirement. Next I was brought to exam room only to sit and wait an additional 20 minutes while I can hear the doctor and her assistant chatting away for the entire 20 minutes. I opened the door to call them out and let them know my waiting was costing me and my insurance company and that I would be disputing the charges. The doctor mockingly apologized saying she was congratulating her assistant for getting into med school...20 minute congratulations!!!! I then told her that she was unprofessional and I would not be seen by her! I better not get a bill! read more

I saw Dr. Tran for really bad acne when I was about 15 so just about a year and a half ago. I had gotten a cyst on my face and she claimed she would just inject it and that would be all. She is hands down the worst doctor I have ever had. She cut my face open without my permission and without any pain medication. She was incredibly rude and had no care at all about me. She ended up leaving a very noticeable scar on my chin that still has not gone away even after trying multiple different things. She truly scarred and traumatized me. I still have not gotten over my anger towards her actions. To this day it is pretty much impossible for me to trust any doctor let alone a dermatologist all thanks to her. read more

Terrible patient treatment but my MOH's surgery itself was fine although the global financial conspiracy lecture by the surgeon as he was closing my wound was not welcome. I was left in an unheated closed room for 2 hours without any internet service (flood damage being worked on) as I awaited skin analysis. I can't even give this place one star. I had a squamous cell carcinoma removed from my arm. The doctor was 45 minutes late and the procedure was rushed. The wound opened up two days later and had to be restitched. Then it became infected. It was treated as staph. I was given topical cream and antibiotics. No improvement. Called office. All they can do is take message. Can't talk to doctor or even PA. Got appointment 2 days later. At this point asked them to culture wound. Which they should have done in the first place. It was not staph but pseudomonas aeruginosa which is a nasty bug found in health care settings. At some point the stitches were removed. More creams and antibiotics. Some improvement seen. More calls more visits. Doctor did steroid injection. Little improvement. The original surgery was in July. This is now September. I walked out in disgust. I am now seeing a wound care specialist. Today he removed two deeply embedded sutures from my arm. They had been left there after the original surgery. He says I should recover just fine. We have a treatment plan going forward. Please do not ever go here or take your family members here. read more

First off, the office staff/receptionists were great, polite and attentive. Sad part is that was the most positive part of my visit to Kuchnir. I had an appointment with Kuchnir, I guess he is the owner and he acts like it. After checking in on time, I was brought to an exam room where I sat for 55 minutes....by myself.....waiting. During that time,the Doctor was outside the door making phone calls trying to schedule a bunch of lunch appointments with someone while I waited. The short version is I was there to get something looked at and he was extremely dismissive and borderline rude. Without really any explanation, he said "its nothing".....I questioned that as I had a desire to know what it was and he asked me what I thought it was......I then told him I was not a Dermatologist, that was why I was there to see him. This is an abbreviated summary, there was much more to the visit that was equally unpleasant but all related to his poor attitude. I suspect after spending a half hour on the phone trying to plan his lunch he was running behind so I think he was more interested in moving me along and getting paid and off to the next unfortunate patient. Don't get me wrong.....I have some great Doctors that spend a few minutes of their precious time to explain stuff, that is what I expect. What I don't expect is a dismissive and demeaning attitude from someone that is supposed to be working for me for that short time. I should have checked yelp and other review sites before I made the appointment, they are all similar in terms of less than positive experiences. HORRIBLE experience. After arriving a half hour early and still getting in to my appointment an hour later than it was originally supposed to start, I was seen by Louis Kuchnir to address an inexplicable rash that I've had for over a month now. I don't even know where to begin with how absolutely furious this man made me. When he first entered the room (AFTER SUGGESTING AN OFFER TO BUY ME DRINKS LATER THIS WEEK) and before even really allowing me to explain the concentrated areas where my rash is, he began to open the hospital gown I was wearing and attempted to completely take it off of me while I was tugging back at the gown in extreme discomfort. Which proved useless, because without actually inspecting the affected areas, he then hurriedly left the room and returned in another ten minutes--which he did twice more throughout the appt for no apparent reason. He was extremely condescending to me throughout the entire appointment, belittled my concerns about the rash and blatantly avoided giving me direct answers to the questions I asked. I had expressed my concerns and asked if what I had was treatable, and he deliberately would not answer my questions but respond with irrelevant and inappropriate comments that made it seem as if he was trying to psychoanalyze me as we were speaking. At one point after I had stated that I read something about hives in the pamphlet he handed me, he literally interrupted me and said "Well, still know more about them than you." One of the most bizarre and uncomfortable experiences of my life and also a complete waste of my time and money. Not to mention that I feel like I have been violated and talked down to. Kirchner dermatology is the best ive seen anywhere!!! I have been to a few surgeons before going to Kirchner and they were good,I started way back over 15yrs ago with Dr K and he was my surgeon FOR A LONG TIME AND WE GOT ALONG VERY WELL , but he had to relinquish some of his patients because of the ever expanding business he has developed. I and now under the care of Dr tran who is just fantastic as a doctor and a person and i feel welcome and relaxed when i visit her office i am a regular to say the least and they have a procedure i will be having next week called red light PDLT , and these Doctors are the reason i am still around today . I went in for my initial appointment with the goal of getting more information and treatment options. After waiting past my appointment time, Dr. Tran came in. She barely looked at my acne, and rushed to give me my treatment options without explaining them. I felt as though I was being an inconvenience when asking about the medications and treatments she was suggesting, and had to inquire about how the meds she was suggesting would interact with other medications I was on as well as my lifestyle. She sent multiple expensive medications to the pharmacy without asking my opinion on, which I proceeded to cancel. I have never felt so overwhelmed or frustrated leaving a doctors office. I've never had a situation where I've waited for more than 10-15 minutes for the doctor, and she's always taken the time to talk about my concerns and answer any questions. Two horrible experiences when I brought my son here--waited over an hour the first time. No apology, no reasons given. Hoping that experience was an aberration we returned sx weeks later--on time for our appointment--and waited 60 minutes in the waiting room and then another 30 minutes before the dr set foot in the exam room. He then spent a total of FIVE minutes with us. Ridiculous. We won't be returning--there are plenty of dermatologists in the area who know how to run an office and treat patents with respect. read more

It looks like I'm not the only one that's had a bad experience with this place. My Primary referred me to this place and when I scheduled the appointment it was made for the Milford office. When I went to the appointment they told me that the person I was supposed to see is in Framingham that day they made a mistake. So how do you think they rectify it?? I had a choice of driving to Framingham and wait an hour there, wait in the Milford office for an hour and have the nurse see you or reschedule for another day. I'm sorry, but the office makes the mistake and I have to bend over backwards to be seen??? Sounds like they really don't give a crap about their patients. After checking the spot she said she would be doing a biopsy. Dr . Kuchnir came into exam room took. Look and asked ME did I think it was cancerous? I have had excellent experiences as a patient here. I see that they have some mixed reviews, but this doesn't reflect the quality of all the physicians in the practice. I've had both surgical and nonsurgical visits and found the physicians I've seen (Dr. Tran, Dr. Goddard) to be thorough and attentive to my concerns. Went to this practice about a year and a half ago to see Kuchnir. He was more into baby-talking my son than inspecting me. He said I should have my hair dresser map out the moles on my head and check them every time I get a haircut! Very strange man - he had his assistant bring me into his office to look at all the pictures of his children before I left - WHAT?! I have (and my family) only visited the Milford office to see Dr Tran. This office has indeed one of the most professional and curtious group of people working the front desk. The staff that welcomes you to walk you into see Dr. Tran are just as exceptional. We always get appointments in a timely manner. Dr Tran is truly wonderful.. The initial visit was 70 minutes behind schedule and resulted in scheduling Moews procedure. 3mm lesion removed with medically unwarranted 3.5 inch incision -ouch. Extraordinarily expensive charges. I called recently to schedule an appt for a skin issue I have been experiencing and I was told the first available was two weeks out. I was a bit frustrated that I had to wait that long, but took the appt. It recently began to worsen and I called to try to be seen sooner. I said I would see any doctor thinking that might help my chances, but the receptionist told me they were fully booked. She told me to call back in a few days to see if there were any cancellations. When I asked her if she could take my name and number, she said, and I quote, "we're really busy, we normally don't do that. I don't think anyone here would be able to call you back." I was taken aback by this lack of customer service. When I questioned her, she reluctantly took my name and number, but then said, "if you don't hear from us, you should still check back." That gave me zero confidence anyone would call. I get it, you're busy (aren't we all?), but last I checked, customer service is part of running a medical practice, is it not? If this is what your office staff is telling your patients then they either need better training or you've allowed your practice to become so large and over-booked that patient satisfaction has completely gone out the window. read more
