They're not nearly as large as a Home Depot or Lowe's, unless you are in the lumber department... Then they might even be larger. I came in here to grab some materials for a deck rebuild. They had all of the hardware for the posts that I needed neatly organized and easy to navigate. Staff was also friendly and helpful. Unknowingly when I walked in, they have a tool rental counter. I was able to rent the rotary hammer that I needed to drill into the concrete. The staff member at the rental counter was super helpful, and I was able to show him pictures of the situation, and show him the hardware I was buying and he helped us determine exactly what we needed, and the right size. I was also surprised to see that they have very high-end landscaping and contractor tools. When I was short a 4 x 4 post, I was able to order it at the lumber counter or drive my truck back to pick one out of the lumber bays. Overall, a very pleasant experience and so glad they were able to help us get this DIY project complete!

I called Hansons and spoke to some man at customer service who is extremely rude and short he would not let me explain the situation would only have me answer his specific questions! This happened on a Thursday I call in on Friday I was told specifically I would hear back by Monday of course nobody calls!!! When I finally speak with the office manager he stated that I had the wrong location on the freeway as to where the incident occurred but yet he said it happened at three-mile bridge trying not to place fault on his driver because of the location! I took several photographs of the license plate of the truck with the drivers face and hear the exact location as to where it happened! Firstly the driver was excessively speeding in the fast lane in the gravel truck! The office manager admitted that they have a governor does not allow them to go over 75 mph when he was doing 75 mph in the fast lane which is 10 miles an hour over the legal CAR speed limit and 20 miles an hour over the legal speed limit for a truck!!?? Then office manager says he will not disclose what was in the back of the truck if you won't disclose what's in the back of the truck then you're lying!! Finally he decides to tell me that it was mushroom compost seems very odd as that Hansons does not stock any mushroom compost whatsoever so totally being lied to by the office manager. I specifically saw the rock come off the truck when it swung into the fast lane to pass another vehicle going 20 miles an hour over the posted truck speed limit????? I have windshield coverage so I was not looking for a free one!!!!! I simply wanted help with the very nominal $100 deductible they were unwilling to work with me on any level whatsoever??? Absolutely horrible customer service skills! What kind of business lies to people like that and flat out denies they had any responsibility?? These people are flat out dishonest completely liars! This company should be ashamed that they treat people in this manner rude dishonest it's absolutely despicable!

Had to exchange a few bowed posts and pickets that were delivered in my order. Pulled up to the yard, saw multiple people walking around yet not one came to assist or even ask if I needed help. Literally sat waiting for 13 minutes until finally an employee approached to ask "you need something?" ....not Hello, not how can I help you, but..."you need something?". Acted as if it was a bother I was there and he had to come ask me. Explained had bowed posts and pickets that needed to exchange. Was told to go to another area on the yard. Get to that area, and again.....wait! Almost 10 mins. Finally someone on a forklift comes up and again..."Did you need help?" I'm sorry but what else would someone be doing there? I guess customer service doesn't exist? Is it a self service yard? So again It's explained that I needed to exchange a few posts and pickets. The employee gets the posts and brings them over. But there was no hurry while he did this. I then ask what about the pickets....I was then told I had to go BACK to the original area I was at to get them. I go back, the 1st employee came out with a receipt for me and says "here you go". I ask what about the pickets? He says what pickets? I say I had asked you about exchanging the 3 posts and pickets because they were bowed. I got the posts and was sent back here to get the pickets, I assume the 2nd employee must have contacted him since he came out with a receipt? The employee then responds in a rude and irked way to me "you're doing an exchange?! You said a return. Great now I gotta do the paper all over, you said you were returning them. That's different and you said you're returning them" I explained I never said anything about a return and when I saw him the first time I explained I had some pieces that came in my order that were bowed and I needed to just EXCHANGE, I never said I was returning anything, He goes to change or fix the paperwork and returns to give it back to me. I then asked what about the pickets? The staff member was rude and unprofessional in his actions, and their demeanor suggested they were bothered by my request for assistance. This made the interaction uncomfortable and discouraging. I was told I could go get the pickets myself. I asked him if he could help me and he questioned me for asking him, by saying "you need my help getting them?"Their customer service is unacceptable, and I will not be coming back. Which is a shame because there are few options in this area, but I honestly encourage anyone needing services to take their business somewhere else. Unless you like being ignored, treated like a burden for needing their help or products!

The $1500 a day charge is more than worth the price. They are getting me $2,000-3,000$ of wood from my trees per day if not more. They have a couple skid steers available for an extremely affordable rate. I highly recommend Mountain Timber for any of your mobile milling needs. They can also manage burn piles with their equipment if needed. Matia is a wonderful resource for your forestry maintenance needs. They work their butts off.
