I give five stars because I had a great experience. I got what I paid for and my goodness!! The facility had lots of perks. You have to take a shower before you get in the float spa and they provide everything you need to have a successful float and walk out looking relaxed. They have shampoo, body wash, ear plugs, ear wash, a locker, a robe, etc. I'm excited to have something like this in SA. Especially how inclusive the products provided here, is a huge reason for five stars.

I have visited Krysus twice now. Both times were because of an event booked for us to relax by yellow ribbon fund San Antonio Chapter for us to relax and enjoy the facility. Our package purchased for us included a 30 min float, 30 min sound therapy, salt room experience, NovaThor light therapy and the compression therapy. Being my second time I knew I wanted to have my Sound Therapy experience first. They get you seated in a special seat, place a blanket and a weighted blanket to cover you. You put noise canceling head phones on your ears and select from a list the sounds to help with something that's troubling you such as anxiety, or stress. You cover your eyes with a eye mask and they start your experience. The seat beneath you vibrates and the sounds really put you into an amazing zone of relaxation. My friend said she almost fell asleep. The sound therapy for me helps me meditate and clear my head in a way I have never been successful at previously. Floating was nice, I made adjustments after my first float with the lighting and sounds. My first time I went complete sound depravation and I not like it. Others love it that way. But for me, I needed the sounds. The owner mentioned they were in the process of expanding so I am excited to see what's to come for them. If you are looking for something different to do for a girls day, or even a couples day date. Come here. The prices are reasonable and the owners are veterans who care a lot of helping other veterans!

Float cabin filling with water

So I am new to float therapy and have never been. Today was my first time experiencing this and I have to say I am so impressed. My husband purchased the introductory float package which we found to be very affordable. He was able to purchase and schedule my appointment painlessly and effortlessly on their website. When I arrived I noticed the cleanliness of the facility as well as their special care to following COVID guidelines. Check-in was hassle free. I was provided a tour of the facility as well as information on what other services they offer. I opted for a 30 minute sound therapy session prior to my float session. This was relaxing! As a first responder it almost always feels like we are in a heightened state of mind. The sound therapy was relaxing and I felt myself slipping away into sleep next thing I knew it was over. I was then taken to a dressing room to prepare for my float session. The dressing room is stocked with personal care items, luxurious plush robes, and shower shoes. Everything was neatly placed and disinfected after each use. I changed out of my clothes and wrapped myself in this amazing robe ( think carnival cruise ship plush but probably better, I hope they offer them for sale sometime!) and went to my float therapy room. Inside the float therapy room is your float cabin and a shower. Towels and ear plugs were provided and I was informed on the process of the float and given instructions. Latina was amazing at answering all my questions and giving me her take on this floating experience. Now for the best part the float! As you shower off before your float the cabin fills with water. I rinsed any and all oils from my skin and was ready to climb into my pod. I closed the cabin door and the LEDs illuminated the cabin, the sound of waves engulfed me as I floated. The lights and sounds of the waves gradually faded after a few minutes and I was in total darkness. I suffer from multiple herniated discs and debilitating back pain. None of these ailments seemed to matter for the duration that I was floating. Being in the dark I was able to focus on just floating. I felt myself melting into the abyss. Who knew 30 minutes would pass so quickly. The cabin filled with soft sound of waves and the ambient lighting brought me back to reality. My session was done and I felt amazing. I am new to a holistic approach in my well-being. This is definitely worth your time. I will update my review after I have completed my 3 floats to share my overall thoughts. I would highly recommend choosing a float package because 1 float really isn't enough to decide if this is for you.

I was invited to Krysus along with a group of veteran couples. The building is tucked away and has a very inviting atmosphere inside the lobby area. The staff was very attentive and knowledgeable. They explained the purpose and benefits of their services and we were all able to try each type. This was my first time experiencing these types of therapy and thoroughly enjoyed the time with each service. The Float Cabin was the best! I've floated in rivers and ocean water but the float cabin service is way better. The salt content, buoyancy along with the visual and audio effects provided a relaxing and calming effect for my muscles and mind. The shower and materials provided enhanced the ambiance and made me feel like a VIP (without the price point btw) at a resort! Veteran owned and operated and is definitely on my list of recommendations for folks needing to de-stress, relax, or recover. I look forward to a longer session for my next visit.

As soon as I arrived, Latina explained to me what was going to happen and she led me to the sound therapy room.

I have been a client at Transcend for years and love them! Nancy & Adrian are my absolute favorite…read moremassage therapists. The massage rooms are very relaxing and quiet & I always feel my body relax a little just walking in the door. I've also used the infrared sauna and the room is comfy and there is a shower right in the room so you can sweat then get out and rinse off (if you aren't doing the cold plunge right after). The prices are right on par with similar services locally, and I love supporting a local small business, so I will keep coming back.

Very happy with my recent service there! I had the Wellness Day with Xylia. She has angelic hands,…read moreand was able to pinpoint and soothe areas of concern easily. The atmosphere in the room felt custom and relaxing. I like their choice of background music too. Not too loud or obnoxious, just a soft Tibetan singing bowl sound. The front desk attendant was very nice too! She kindly guided me around the spa. The Wellness day also includes the sauna, float tank, and in my case the compression therapy. The float tank was so cool, I think everyone should try it at least once. For my session, they gave me a robe and really cushy slippers to wear. I NEED those slippers in my life, if you guys find out where they are from please send the info my way lol Word of advice, if you book the services online using someone else's card, you will have to pay again once you get there. If your name doesn't match the info on the card, they don't save the card info on your file. It could be for security purposes. Fortunately I was able to pay for it, but fair warning when booking. It may be wise to just buy a gift card if you are wanting to buy someone a service there other than yourself

True REST Float Spa

I am a fan of True Rest floats. The float experience is absolutely wonderful in terms of stress…read morereduction and a general feeling of calm well-being, and the atmosphere at True Rest, both before, and after your float, enhances that feeling. In my recent visit, I tried their Vitality Suite, which consists of a combo of infrared sauna, red light therapy, and a cold plunge. The attendant was very nice as she described the process. Unlike the float, which has an automatic timer built in, the vitality suite experience is one in which you are expected, or at least encouraged, to watch the clock. I wondered whether 45 minutes might actually be too long, but it was not. Not at all, actually. By the time I showered, got heated up in the sauna, and got myself into the cold plunge, which is very, very cold, the clock said I was 36 minutes into my 45! Since I had seen no other customers, I didn't think anyone would be pounding on the door, but still, I felt constrained and not relaxed at having to watch the clock. I tried the red light therapy, but felt no sense that it was doing anything for me. Maybe my cells were regenerating without my knowledge. So back into the sauna, then back into the cold plunge, and by then I was well over my time. When I was showered and dressed, I saw the attendant had just come to check on me, but I didn't really feel any time pressure, except what was self-imposed. But that still made the experience less relaxing than it should've been. The elegant one-person sauna was nicer than the one I use at my gym, and the cold plunge was much colder, which was bracing. But overall, I was not especially impressed with the vitality suite since it is pretty much what I already do at my gym. I would come back and pay the pricey price for floats at True Rest, but the vitality suite experience did not work for me.

I went into this experience expecting to love it - I got the pure silence I craved…read more The facility was very clean, and I felt comfortable being there. The float itself was good, a strange sensation, but I can see why people love it (especially after a few times to get used to it). My biggest problem was that the light switch inside my pod didn't work, and that triggered a little bit of my panic reflex. I ended up cracking the pod open a couple times to calm myself down, and that detracted from the experience.
