We, together with 2 other families went to Krysal Cancun to celebrate my daughter's birthday last Nov. 8-13. The hotel is ok. I will say 3.5 stars and not as luxurious and exclusive as the hotels we are used to going (Great parnassus (Seadust), Grand Sirenis, Villa palmar, Garza Blanca, Serenade(Punta Cana). Rooms are ok, food selection limited. There is no entetrainment and the lobby for night gathering is very small and most of the time, the bar couldn't keep up. If there's one thing, it would be the beach as they have the best beachfront and calm water of all the resorts we have been to. Where it went south for us is when we attended the the presentation by the mexican Elvis - Carlos David Ruiz, and was offered the Eskape by Krystal which in one word is just based on a big lie to get you to buy. To summarize, the membership will give you access to the eskape by krystal platform where you can get exclusive deals and promises the following: 1. They will hand out flyers showing 5 star hotels such as Hard Rock, Nickelodeon, Marriott, Hilton, Disney, etc.. offering a 1 wk stay for members, any room type any time at $499.00 or less, guaranteed! 2. A $1500 annual credit that you can use for ANY BOOKING - hotels, trips, vacations, airfare, cruises.. 3. Gives you cruise certificates for two that you can use by activating the certificate for $99.00 ALL IN! These are all LIES. First you won't have access to the site until they process your application. Total contract price is $4,000.00. So we paid a downpayment of $1925.00 on site ($1475 d/p and $450 for cost of contract), then another $500 after a week or 2 for the platform and the remaining $1575.00 paid monthly for 1 yr. Basically by the time you get to review the platform, you would have been back to your home country and already would have paid the minimum $2425.00. Once you are in, here's where the lies get uncovered: 1. The $499 will not be for all the hotels in the platform. The hotels they have on the fliers are not even affiliated with krystal. There are select $499 hotels but these are the 1-2 star hotels / motels in places where nobody even goes for a vacation. You will find better deals on tripadvisor, booking.com, hotels.com and other free sites. 2. The annual credit can only be applied on bookings pre-selected by the platform. You do not have a choice! It's mostly available for redemption on hotels that are inflated 2-3x more than how much it would cost on the site or external sites! 3. The cruise certificate is yet another scam! You will have to pay $99.00 to activate your certificate. What this gives you is the ability to access another platform to see what discounted cruises you can avail of if you want to go on one! So they basically sell you another platform! I have been back and forth with Ivan Flores about how their sales associates blatantly lie on their presentation but they will have a boxed answer for everything insisting the fine prints and that they don'e honor the fliers or any other verbal promises. This is how they run their business. No business ethics whatsoever. I don't expect to see that money be refunded but we have stopped future payments and disputing the charges with our card company. Additionally, we have submitted a formal complaint with PROFECO. We had a fantastic stay at Hotel Krystal Cancun. Our room was well maintained with a range of amenities, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The hotel is centrally located in the heart of the hotel district, within walking distance to bars, shopping centers, and restaurants. It was especially convenient to walk to the nearby grocery store to pick up snacks, dinner, and bottled water. One thing to note is that the hotel's closeness to the nightlife can make it a bit noisy in the evenings. If you are sensitive to noise, consider requesting a room in a quieter section of the hotel. Additionally, if you arrive in the morning, the hotel will allow you to check in, but room keys are not distributed until 3 PM. This can lead to a crowded lobby around that time. To make the most of our time, my partner and I checked our luggage, explored the area, and relaxed by the pool while waiting. Overall, this is a great destination for a vacation, and the area feels very safe. The pool area is lovely with relaxing lounge music, and the beach is stunning: clean, beautiful, and well-maintained. We would consider staying at another Krystal resort in the future. read more

We just got back and I would say I wouldn't stay at this hotel again. I have been to Cancun, Riviera Maya and Playa Del Carmen and this is the worst place we have stayed. It wasn't horrible but there were definitely things they should improve on. I'll start with location. I do like the location. It was easy to get to on a shuttle from the airport and it is SO close to walking to downtown Cancun. Located pretty much in front of the hotel is a pharmacy, which came in handy later. We walked downtown and had dinner one night (since we couldn't get a reservation- I'll note this later) and had a great dinner. It has a nice chunk of beach front with some tables and seating. Check in took FOREVER. That was the longest check in I have had at any resort. Also we are typically greeted with a welcome cocktail. They gave us a glass of gross juice that most people abandoned all over counters cluttering the look of the lobby. We noticed they had a lobby bar, however we couldn't get a drink until we checked in. Once we got to the counter and checked in we were bombarded by a woman who said she was our personal concierge and wanted to sell us massages. I tried to make dinner reservations for the specialty restaurants with her and she said she couldn't help me with that and took me to another counter where they also said they couldn't help me and referred me to the app. The app however was in Spanish and was difficult to get it to English. Once I was able to do that, it would only allow me to make a reservation for the Mexican restaurant and only had 1 time available. I snatched that while I could. had to go to another reception desk the next day to make other reservations and by then there was limited available. We couldn't get in to the Mediterranean place but managed to get in to the Asian restaurant. The room was a basic room. They put us on the 1nst floor which I was annoyed with a first and we had a 'city view' which meant a rooftop piled with bird poop and a view of the hotel across the street. We rarely opened our curtains except to let in some daylight. The A/C was cranking in and it was freezing in our room. We turned it down and then it got hot. There was no happy medium with the room temp. There is no booze stocked in the rooms. This was a first for me. Every All- Inclusive place I have ever stayed has at least beer stocked in the room. (We tried ordering cans of beer to go at the bar to take back to our room and they said no). Good thing I had shooters that I had brought on the plane and mixed with the juices and sodas they had in the mini fridge. The whole room lacked outlets to plug in electronic devices. There was just 1 in the bathroom. The lotion was out in the bathroom. The shower was fine except the drain didn't drain. By the time I was done taking a shower it was almost over the ledge and flooding the bathroom. The Tv worked fine until the last 2 days the remote just stopped working. The light was working, it was like it didn't pair with the TV anymore. Not a huge deal, but annoying. The whole building is basically one big marble block so you can hear everything from the rooms next door and the hallway. It was the beginning if Spring Break so we had a lot of drunk college kids being very loud at night and it echoed throughout the hallways. When booking a place for this trip I said I need a swim up bar and more restaurants than the nights we are staying. The restaurant situation didn't fully work out the way I imagined but they did have a swim up bar... with 4 seats. and the bar was only open from 11am -6pm. Actually all bars (3 of them) don't open until 11am. Then the pool bars close at 6 and the lobby bar which can get crazy at night since everyone is there, closes at 10:45pm. This is the first time I have stayed some place that didn't have a sports bar and the sport bar is always open 24/7. So from 10:45pm - 11am the only way to get alcohol is to order mimosas at the smaller breakfast buffet. Both buffets are smaller than I am used to. We would be seated and go grab out food and sometimes drinks like juice or hot chocolate and a server would ask if we wanted anything. We say no but then they are still asking for a tip. I don't tip at buffets since I am getting my own food. If I was at the smaller one and getting mimosas then yes, I would tip for that. They kept asking to scan our wristbands and sign with tip. That was really annoying for an all inclusive place. Overall the food was meh, lacked a lot of flavor and was small options. I was happy with the omelets in the morning, the crispy bacon at the smaller buffet, tacos and the rice with corn in it. The beach chairs fill up quickly, like before you can get towels quickly. We ended up having to hold on to towels from the day before to put on the chairs the next morning to make sure we had some chairs. If you don't manage to get a chair, you are out of luck on where to put your stuff. Got a cabana and Yessica was GREAT! read more

DO NOT GO HERE!! never in my entire life have I left a review for a place. hotel crystal in Cancun was actually the worst experience. first I need a medical attention and had an extremely creepy doctor (not going into details). he then upcharged me 500 pesos. I was severely dehydrated and the hotel denied me water bottles multiple times. then $60 american cash and a pair of Lululemon leggings were stolen out of our room. we filed incident reports with the hotel for both of these problems and nothing was ever done. we started making our friends aware of these problems and talked to at least four other people in separate rooms who had the same issues with things being stolen. finally on the last day we tried to get into our room around 11:30 (our email said checkout was at 12) and were locked out. we needed to leave the resort by 12 to catch our transportation to the airport. we went downstairs and asked the front desk about it and then they reprogrammed our cards (it didn't get fixed). We begged all the cleaning people to unlock the door and said we just needed to grab our stuff (we described our suitcases) and leave. they laughed at us. We ended up leaving 15 minutes after we were supposed to catch our transportation. side note the cops are EXTREMELY unethical so beware (not the resorts fault). We were notified today, 11/19/2024, that the power will be out between 1PM - 4PM. It is 5:07PM and still no power. I dialed the operator and asked if she has an update about the power lost, the operator was rude! For a tourist destination accommodations, this operator needs to learn customer service. This place has it's ups and downs but overall for price it is a good deal. I believe all inclusive is offered however went with breakfast only on my stay. Since we did alot of walking and activities outside of hotel thought this was perfect. Pros: Convenient location- nightlife at your fingertips, restaurants and stores walking distance. Concierge- attentive and friendly staff at all times. Amenities- multiple amenities and activities to enjoy on your stay. Kid friendly. Cons: Breakfast buffet- not greatest quality good however is a great add on to your stay since you can wake up not trying to figure out what will eat so early. Lobby/check-in- this part sucks since wait times are extensive which seems to be all due to poor computer system they operate I assume? Room- furniture condition could be better/upgraded. Bed mattress more on tough side and furniture all around chipped or damaged specially in restroom. Hotel bar- cool bar area however closes too early. I believe 10pm. On my visit in May it was Sargassum (seaweed) season which totally ruined my stay since I had a great ocean view room but clear ocean beach view was ruined by dark brown sargassum. I mean tons of it were you were not able go even see clear waters if you were at the beach. I had to take a walk down the beach to be able to get in the beach at other resorts with cleaner beach areas. I know hotels are not to blame for this and seems like staff or government officials are working constantly to clean this as much as possible. Assuming you are on a budget trip and would like to be in the heart of cancun and nightlife this is your place if you are not looking for luxury but also looking for more than decent place. Loved this hotel. Stayed at Krystal Cancun for the first time. Some pros & cons but overall a great value. Staff was friendly, room was clean & fresh, pool & beach are both great. Hotel is in a great location, close to all the clubs (less than 5 minute walk) & restaurants. And the value was excellent. Pros: Great location: close to Coco Bongo, Mandala, The City, Congo, Monkey Business, Rakata, DCave, Señor Frogs, Hooters, Abolengo, etc Nice pool! It's big and has deeper & shallow areas. There's a nice waterfall that is so refreshing. Lots of pool chairs/beds available. Beach is nice. Waters are mostly clear but seaweed might be there, depends on the day. The waters can be a little rough, but if you walk to the left, there is a man made sea wall where waters are calmer (Just watch out as it is hard to get your footing in the rocky shoreline) Back to Krystal, there are lots of beds/chairs & many of them have these great tiki umbrellas for shade. There a many locals who also come to the beach. They don't use the hotel chairs. Lobby is large, clean and very nice. There is free water at the bar and free coffee in the morning by the entrance to Aquamarina. Our room had fierce A/C! It was super cold and often too cold (I will address this in the cons section) The strong AC was very welcoming when you come in from the hot Cancun sun. Lots of storage space. My husband used the 3 drawer dresser & I used the handy closet with 4 shelves. There were also a table & chairs, useful for when you wanted to eat or drink in comfort. The closet had a standard electronic safe and an ironing board. There is a mini-fridge. Since we were not all-inclusive, we didn't touch the drinks inside. We were able to store drinks we bought from outside & leftover food. Bathroom had a rain shower, soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion & several towels. There is a box of tissues, sufficient TP & a hair dryer. Another nice touch is the wristband: it is used to open your room. It's also your access to pool towels. Cons Lobby was super hot. A/C was on but barely noticeable. It's worse in the day obviously. The heat is stifling. The workers are visibly affected & some seem to be suffering. Line to check in took an incredibly long time. While there were 2-3 agents at the desk, it moved super slowly. Plus it was hot so everyone was hot & sweaty & irritated. Room A/C was super cold, which was welcome on hot days. However, the A/C couldn't be turned down (made warmer) so to sleep comfortably, you had to turn it off altogether. This is interesting because there is a sign in the room saying not to turn the A/C off. The water in the bathroom turned light brown by our 4th day and it stayed that way. We let the water run for a long time but it never resolved. The coffee maker in the room did not work. The water would boil but not make it to the chamber with the coffee. Once I notified management, they replaced it. The Starbucks area was supposed to be open 6am daily (according to the directory posted on the hotel wall) but it wasn't. The Mediterraneo restaurant (wish I could review that separately) Food was good but portions were small. Menu was expensive. Waiter (Jesus) asked us if we wanted water & we said yes. Then he brought out a big bottle of Evian LOL. (had I known it was Evian and not free house water I would have declined) Jesus was a good waiter, attentive & worked very hard. Unfortunately, when we paid our bill, he didn't tell us that he added a tip (when he entered the amount on the credit card machine) So when we paid, we gave extra and told him to keep the change (as tip) So we ended up paying 32% tip unwillingly. Overall, we loved this hotel. It's in a great location, has a nice beach & pools, friendly staff, comfortable accommodations and all at a reasonable price. read more

Very nice beautiful view. Forget about expectations that you bring from state side. Relax it's Mexico not Boston or New York. If you remember where you are its natural beauty will give you everything you need. Night life is just outside the front door and the gorgeous view and ocean is on the footsteps of the back of the hotel. I give it 5 star despite never getting my champagne Champagne promise in the Priceline won't arrive despite the many calls to front desk. Elevator is optional meaning it works half the Times. That said you will bring back great memories if you relax and enjoy what the environment has to offer let go of your New England expectations set aside all that and have the time of your life. read more

The shower water was cold and I had to fix their toilet because it wouldn't flush. The pool was filthy. Would rather perish than step foot in this place ever again. All the websites, not just priceline, say it's all inclusive... since it was 2 am. before I fought with priceline, and all we did stay one night. The next morning we went to their so called free breakfast and they brought a bill for $50 bucks. The sink was also full of ants in our room. The place was loud and all the marble and decor did nothing to help with that. Stayed in the standard room. Moldy bathroom and dusty room overall, The cabinets were falling off, and there was no TV remote. Called the front desk for a remote twice and never got it. The food is mediocre at best, the restaurants you need a reservation for are nice looking but food was not amazing. Room service is terrible, they were rude and don't even have majority of stuff on the menu. There is only one pool which is okay and the ocean of course. There is 2 bars outside and one inside. The bars outside close at 7 leaving one bar open inside till 10:45. The bar service inside is awful. Asked for drinks and wouldn't serve us and tell us why. WARNING: KRYSTAL CANCUN TIMESHARE SCAM - STAY AWAY! I was SCAMMED by Krystal International Vacation Club, and I urge EVERYONE to avoid this company at all costs! Here's my experience with their scam: The personal sale presentation was full of LIES, AGRRESSIVE and missleading information. I was presented a timeshare package as an "investment opportunity" and "become business partner with Krystal Cancun", that promised me a 1-bedroom condo for 25 years and the opportunity to rent out my vacation weeks through Global Travel. They promised that the revenue from these rental are GUARANTEED because they, Krystal and Global Travel, works with corporates around the words for employee retreats, goft tournaments...etc... They guaranteed that the revenues will help pay off the $15,900 cost. I paid $5,959 upfront in good faith, expecting everything to be as promised. The remaining balance is $11,000 will be paid 5 years, with $260.18 monthly payment. They are very sneaky, they don't mention anything they verbally said in the contracts, just general languages and no guarantees of anything being written. However, NOTHING has happened as promised! Global Travel was supposed to call me to arrange rental bookings, but that NEVER happened. I've made multiple inquiries to Krystal about this, but my calls and emails have been completely IGNORED. They have failed to provide ANY of the services they promised. I research online and there are many others people also got scaammed the same way. They started charging me monthly payment $260.18 on February 1, 2025, but again, no services have been rendered. The entire process is a well-planned scam designed to take your money without delivering anything of value. This entire transaction was deceptive and fraudulent. The promises made during the sale were misleading, and I truly believe I've been scammed. If you're considering this timeshare, DO NOT DO IT. They will take your money and run, leaving you with NOTHING. AVOID KRYSTAL INTERNATIONAL VACATION CLUB AT ALL COSTS! Don't fall for their lies and empty promises. I loved this spot. We went resort hopping for our experience and this was the first stop. We were on vacation cloud 9 and Krystal Cancun was awesome! We actually stayed at Krystal Grand but they are all together so here we are. I thought the layout was awesome, the room was clean and soooo beautiful. We were caught in a rainstorm that was SO COOL. I know it was super rainy our whole trip but I love fresh rain. The pools were super cute. The infinity pool hardly ever had anyone in it so my bestie and I decided to take it over for a whole afternoon. She was getting over a hangover and I was just getting started. Happy hour style for me. A shot of tequila from the pool while ordering lobster and a cheeseburger...to the pool!? LIVING MY BEST LIFE IN CANCUN BABY. The staff was so freaking friendly, I loved them. The pina coladas were on point. The room was awesome. The view was awesome. I have nothing but good things to say about this place. We were woken up by the nicest housekeeper because our slider door was jammed and the whole place got a humidity layer of water and she just came in and helped us clean it up. I think the only thing we didn't love was the room service. The food was pretty expensive and pretty mediocre. The pizza was underdone and there was a random burger I was charged for that I did not order. The breakfast included option is a MUST. The chilaquiles are something I crave to this moment. They were the best chilaquiles I had all trip and I was eating that dish daily mijas. And the green juice. I am obsessed with green juice now. Period. I truly loved the experience, how close it was to the hotel zone like, party zone. All of it was amazing. read more

Stayed at the resort in mid-February and again in June 2024. The first time to Cancun, we were looking for a smaller resort at the last minute, and this worked for our budget. The second time was a disaster. There is little to NO customer service. Both times we had rooms on the 8th floor. Views and balconies are fantastic. Being close to the beach is ideal. The food was ok for the first time, but the second time, they had even more limited food choices. The restaurants that you have to schedule the day before are mostly not good. The best option is dining outside at the Italian place. Don't bother on the Mediterranean and Mexican. it's just not worth it. We had to dine off-site a few times on the second stay. Fuimos a cenar al restaurante Mediterráneo. Le dijimos al mesero Miguel que queríamos el vino de la casa y nos dijo que debíamos comprarlo por q los vinos no estaban en el all inclusive, entonces decidimos comprar uno que nos salió alrededor de $37. Luego al llegar la cuenta que era "0", nosotros le íbamos a dejar $20 de propina nos dijo que NO, q debíamos dejar el 10 por ciento de $370 aproximadamente q nos hubiese salido asi la cuenta. El mozo contaba el dinero al lado de nosotros cosa que JAMAS he visto en un restaurante. Nos obligó a pagar la propina del vino, y aparte nos obligó a darle $36 de propina de la comida del All inclusive. Luego nos enteramos que todo había sido mentira. Regresamos al restaurante y hablamos con un supervisor y llamaron al mesero Miguel y lo negó todo, el supervisor quedó que iban a revisar las cámaras y audios. Al día siguiente hablamos con un manager de nombre Ricardo y el quedó en solucionarnos el problema nos confirmó q la propina era nuestra voluntad, le exigimos la devolución del dinero y él dijo q nos iban a devolver, no solo la propina si no el cobro ilegal del vino, hemos estado en contacto con él hace ya un mes por mensajes por WhatsApp y hasta la fecha no nos resuelven, quiero denunciar este hecho ya que a cuantos turistas extranjeros le habrán hecho lo mismo, quedé con una sensación que es una confabulación entre los empleados del restaurante y el hotel para timar a los comensales. I booked this resort for a trip with a group of my girl friends this past March! I read the other yelp reviews after already booking the hotel, so I felt a little nervous coming into the trip based off of what others were saying. But I have to say I had a wonderful time at the Krystal Cancun! Location: 5/5. You can easily walk to all of the night life and shopping which is a major plus especially if you're coming for spring break! Also, the views from the hotel and especially the pool and beach area were AMAZING! This location is unbeatable Food: 3.5/5. I was most nervous about the food options coming in because you never know how it's going to go with an all inclusive. The buffet wasn't my favorite but other people in my group found things they enjoyed. We ate at both of the resort restaurants (Italian and Mexican) and both were pretty good. They weren't spectacular but they were good and we weren't really coming to Cancun for a culinary experience. One thing to note is that if you want to do dinner at one of the restaurants, you have to make reservation the morning of. The pool food was probably our favorite out of the dining options; we LOVED the fish tacos, guac, and chicken tenders. We ordered off of the midnight room service menu and the food was just fine but it was convenient to be able to order at any time especially after a night out! Room: 4/5. Unlike other reviews on here, our room was perfectly fine. It was clean and cleaning service came every day to restock toiletries, bring fresh towels and make the beds. We had an issue with our toilet flushing which was the only real issue with our room. We were able to take a warm shower at the end of the day and sleep in a clean room which is all we really needed. It's definitely not the nicest room I've stayed in but for the price of the resort I thought it was great. Amenities: 5/5. The pool and beach areas are PHENOMENAL!! We spent every day lounging at the beach or in the pool and we had an amazing time. The pool has a swim up bar and a tiki bar so we were able to take advantage of the unlimited drinks all the time. All of the staff at the resort was very kind and accommodating to us. The lobby bar was small but we were always able to order drinks and find a spot to relax as a group in the large lobby area! Overall: this isn't the nicest resort I've ever stayed at but for the price I think it was great! DO NOT STAY IN THIS HOTEL! My mom was mugged inside the hotel in the hallway. We reported it to the hotel security and staff and they told us they will check the security cameras. We were told hours later that they didn't see anyone except my mom BUT REFUSED TO SHOW US THE VIDEO!! This is because they are lying!! The fact that my family and I stayed in this hotel multiple times yet they refused to cooperate is a definite no. They do not care for your safety, they only care about taking your money! DO NOT STAY IN THIS HOTEL BECAUSE THE SERVICE IS THE WORST. WORKERS ARE LAZY, NO SECURITY, AND THEY COULD NOT CARE LESS ABOUT YOU. FOOD IS HORRIBLE AND THE ALL INCLUSIVE IS NOT WORTH IT. The rooms are old and dirty, it's loud in the rooms and everything is always broken or not working. If you want to enjoy your stay in CANCUN, do not stay here. The room was clean. Maid service on point. You can hear everyone and everything in this hotel while in your room. Our upstairs neighbors moved furniture all night. One day they were painting outside out room. We smelled the wonderful paint while trying to sleep. Pool was ok. Beach was the best. The ocean was calm and beautiful. I would come back to this resort for the beach. Food was not good. Do not do all inclusive not worth it unless your going to be on a liquid diet the entire time you visit. read more

The hotel is very nice, very clean, and has a very good location. The small refrigerator was well stocked. Everything in the room worked. The pool is very large. The ocean waves are the biggest in all of Cancun and there was no seaweed at all. Some reviews complained about the music from the nightclubs but my room was opposite the beach so I never heard it. Some negatives: all Cancun hotels charge a suspicious "Environmental fee," at the desk when you check in. What are you going to do, not pay it and try to find another hotel at the last minute? One hotel I stayed in charged me $5, another charged $20, and another charged me $60. Krystal charged me $20. Check-in might take a while if there are a lot of people in front of you but that is typical of any hotel anywhere. The air conditioning is a bit noisy and you are not supposed to turn it off, not that you would do that anyway. I've stayed in four hotels in Cancun and every one of them had trouble producing enough hot water at times and Krystal is no different. There were always a lot of people coming and going. read more

I had a good stay here and would come back. Excellent location in the North Hotel zone right on the beach and within 5 minute walking distance to dozens of restaurants, bars, all the clubs, and convenience/ grocery stores. Room was on the 4th floor of the "A" tower which is on the east most end of the complex. I had no issues with noise at night from the clubs but suspect if you are in the other tower on the westside that is much closer you will hear that noise at night. If you have an ocean view you will definitely want to be on the 4th floor or higher in the "A" tower to avoid obstructions to the view. I thought the hot water was not working at first but discovered the knob has to be set in the middle instead of either end like you would expect. Wifi always worked for me and I would say the average speeds over my stay were 5Mbps down / 3Mbps up. Had breakfast at the hotel buffet restaurant "Aquamarina" and would not recommend when you can get a better breakfast offsite in a couple minutes walk. The breakfast had "sausage", but it was actually just sliced hotdogs lol. PROTIP: Order the room service American breakfast if you want bacon. The buffet didn't have any plus the room service charge is actually cheaper than going down to the buffet and paying. Took about 40 minutes from time I ordered for food to reach my room. Poolside food was surprisingly good and also a great value compared to most onsite hotel food that is overpriced so a win/win there. Burger with fries was average but next to the pool it's always better. The fish ceviche really surprised me with the quality and no fishy flavor. Truly one of the best ceviches I have had. They have daily poolside activities that are fun to participate in such as water basketball and volleyball. The spa wasn't that hot (probably 90F) which I guess doesn't matter as much when the sun is blazing during the day, but it would be nice to have that standard 104F at night. read more

IF I CAN GIVE 0 STARS I WOULD. To start, we are timeshare holders. We got the timeshare back in 2015. Somos dueńos de TIMESHARE (TIEMPOS COMPARTIDOS). We had stayed at the NEW KRYSTAL resort next to this one and we ended up getting the timeshare for the old KRYSTAL resort. 2022 we have paid (HEMOS PAGADO) 20k dólares americanos a este timeshare. Since we HAVE NOT USED IT, they told us we were able to RENT THE UNITS so we won't lose weeks. WE SUPPOSEDLY RENTED THEM OUT! Not once did they rent them out because now they are telling us we have a couple of weeks left! We even paid a renters fee. Close to $900. Here we are trying to get some bookings some years later and the service (EL SERVICIO ES TAN MALO) once you paid then (en cuánto sueltas tu dinero ellos ni te toman en cuenta. Te tratan muy mal) they treat you so bad like if you are not even a valued customer. read more

DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE! our second day here we found blood all over our floor and the ac wasn't working. so we went to the front to talk to them about it and showed them the pictures of the blood, they said they'll look into it and send someone up to look at the air. a little time goes by someone came to "fix it" which made it hotter and more humid then it already was. and he said it's "fixed", we moved rooms just for the night. The next morning we go to our original room and the blood was STILL on the floor. they didn't feel sorry about there being someone else's blood on our floor. and chunks of hair on our balcony. so we move to another room and they tell us "you can't stay in this room" pretty much, then tried moving us to the other wing of the building which is crazy cause we've moved 4 times in the 4 days we've been here. so we move a couple rooms down and it's fine for a night. no one was in the room today and i come back to find blood in bed.we brought the comforter to the front to tell them this is our THIRD time dealing with someone else's blood in our room. we've talked to 2 different managers they haven't done anything about the blood.there's also roaches in the bathrooms, and the service here is absolutely awful. i've never been to such a bad resort. on of the managers that only said sorry because we said this is our third time dealing with blood. so i guess it's normal to find blood everywhere and this isn't the first time cause it took 3 times for someone to literally say sorry, for someone else's dna in my room. read more

The Krystal single handedly ruined our vacation. Spoiled all our activities outside the hotel because we were so upset about how we were treated. The main issue: Had to change rooms three times. Roof was leaking in our first room, the lock was broken in the second one and we couldn't get in. Instead of immediately being given a new room, we had to wait on the cold floor in the hallway for TWO HOURS while maintenance tried to open the door. Had to knock on doors of other guest rooms so I could use their bathroom. It was HUMILIATING. Front desk staff (name is Reyas) called me a liar and acted threatening and confrontational like he was going to fight me. Unbelievable! Other issues: Was given the wrong wristband so ended up paying for things we shouldn't have, totaling almost $100 USD. Housekeeping woke us up every morning because they dragged furniture around in other rooms to clean. Was harassed by hotel staff to watch a sales presentation while on the way to breakfast. Dead bugs EVERYWHERE. Dirty rooms. Shower water smells like it's from a sewer. Appliances are rusty, dirty and old. I wish I just stayed home. read more

Overall had a great experience. All inclusive option was a great call for us. Came across so many helpful and kind staff especially JULIO who is usually at bell desk. So kind and helpful and truly goes above and beyond to keep guest comfortable and happy. Pool is incredible and beach access makes it so convenient. Worst hotel ever. We waited 3 hours in line to register after a long flight. We paid extra for ocean view but didn't get the ocean view because according to the they had no more rooms left. That was a lie! Room accross from ours was an empty ocean view that they kept to use as a model to get people to buy their time share. They used salesman tactics and were very loud from early morning hours. We were unable to sleep because of it. Basically all this hotel cares about is sales, if you are a time share member already they could care less about you. The hotel and rooms also smell of mild mildew. Stay clear of this very expensive dump. Spent a lot of money for this vacation on my to have it ruined by staying at this dump. Choose wisely. read more

We just wrapped up a five night stay here for our wedding anniversary... and while there's definitely a lot of positives to staying here, we experienced a few negatives as well. Like other reviewers stated... the Krystal is located just a short walk from all the downtown nightlife, restaurants, and a super convenient Chedraui grocery store, all while being beach front for a spectacular view from our room on the fourth floor. So location is definitely 5 stars. However, I wasn't so stoked about it on our first night when I couldn't sleep because of the continuous bass coming from what I believe was the Palazzo right behind our building. The other nights I just slept with the TV on and it helped a bit... so if you're a light sleeper like me, keep this in mind. Their pools are pretty decent size and finding seats wasn't too difficult. I never ordered a drink from the bar as I booked without the all-inclusive so I can't comment about that. The rest of the hotel staff though was friendly and their lobby security was good in keeping people under control. The only issues I had was when they called us the day of our check-in and asked if we needed anything... I asked for more pillows, and never got them. Elevators are sketchy and took forever. Ice machine on the third floor never worked, only the one on the sixth floor. Additionally, their management team should really consider fixing things that are starting to show the hotel is aging... our bathroom counter was cracked really bad with an equally bad patch job? Our sliding door's lock was missing so we couldn't fully close our doors, and the toilet was TERRIBLE... had to flush 2 or 3 times! I couldn't stop thinking on our second day how I was feeling a little buyers remorse about staying here, but thankfully the remaining days were a little better. And while I do recommend this hotel due its location, price-point, and service... I don't think that I would stay here again. Maybe I'm spoiled by our Vegas strip hotels, but if the Krystal would update our issues, this would easily be a 5 star review. Otherwise, we're just gonna spend a little extra next time and stay at a newer hotel. For us, it was just OK. read more

As for the location, this place deserves five stars because it is right there in the center of all the fun bars & clubs. If you like to party, you will certainly enjoy this spot. Plus it also has a beautiful beach and great pool to hang out. But and this is why I am rating this hotel with only three stars, Krystal's rooms aren't all that great and look/feel pretty outdated. When you pay over $100 a night, you expect something a bit nicer and newer, especially bathrooms could use upgrade. Also, my boyfriend and I took this trip as our escape from winter so we were working from "home" and the Wi-Fi there is far from being ideal. It did not work at many spots around the hotel and the signal was very poor. I would also say that the elevators are very slow and it takes a long time to get around the hotel... but besides these things it was overall a good experience, I really liked the entertainment and breakfast buffet. This hotel has to be one of the worst in Cancun. rooms are far from nice, no sound insulation you can hear every conversation in adjoining rooms clear as day. The water in our room came out yellow and our A/C didn't work. The pool was okay, but we were harassed by hotel staff constantly to see our wristbands. The lady at the starbucks coffee stand in the hotel made our coffee completely wrong, and when we asked her to please remake it to our order she rolled her eyes and didn't even remake it. Our room keys worked twice during our whole stay and we needed to ask around and go up and down the elevator every time we needed to get into our room. The staff is rude, and the concierge isn't knowledgeable. When we wanted to take a ferry to isla mujeres, he told us to go at 3pm, which was the only time the ferry did not leave. Horrible hotel.
