Rooftop pool tanning

Aloft Cancun Review - 8-Day Stay I spent 8 days at Aloft Cancun, and overall, it was a chill stay with a few standout moments and a couple of missed opportunities. Let's start with the good: Luis, my housekeeper, was AMAZING. Always had my room spotless--even with me taking 2-3 showers a day between day parties and late-night outings. The water temperature was consistent my entire stay, which honestly made a big difference. Hot and reliable every single time. The rooftop was a vibe... kind of. They have a happy hour up there, which was nice when I managed to catch it--good drinks, great view, and a solid atmosphere. BUT every time I went up to actually relax or get some pics, it was packed with kids in the pool, which threw off the vibe a bit. Would've loved if there were some adult-only hours to really enjoy the space. The location is A1--close to clubs, restaurants, pharmacies, convenience stores, and everything else you might need. And yes, you can Uber Eats, which came in clutch after long nights when I wasn't in the mood to move. Would I stay again? Possibly--with hopes that the rooftop gets a little more grown-folk-friendly. But shoutout again to Luis and the hot showers. That alone gave this trip a gold star.

Not the typical Marriott experience when checking in. Had to go through some extra steps due to the fact that this was a international check in. Hotel staff was super friendly. We frequently come to Mexico but wanted to stay here for one night since our all inclusive wouldn't be ready until tomorrow night. We were assisted with our bags and given complimentary drinks at check in. We weren't acknowledged for our Marriott platinum status or offered any upgrades or perks. Hotel does offers free drinks and free breakfast. Pros - free breakfast , free drinks ,friendly staff , close to everything in downtown Cancun Cons- rooms are dated , no Marriott perks

Always nice to find a A-loft. One of my favorite places to stay wherever I go. Also, being at these hotels you are familiar with the layout and the customer ser

Some maintenance lacking but the room was clean. When I called the front desk about the toilet that took a long time to refill with water, up came a cheery maintenance guy who fixed things quickly. Location is smack in the densest club hotspot in Zona Hotelera--Hard Rock and CocoBongo nearby. Lots of delicious options nearby, including Taco Rigo, Hiroya Ramen and Alebris Beach Club and Bar. Staff are super friendly and offered a Happy 13 hour bracelet for free house pours at the hotel bar! One issue is they are not servicing the rooms during the pandemic and you need to call reception for towels and water. I attempted to get water a few times and never got anything delivered

Lively Hotel Zone area, very close to the hotel.

We loved Aloft Cancun! My husband & I stayed there for only one night, due to a flight situation. However next time we are in Cancun, we will definitely stay at Aloft and for many more days. The hotel is in the heart of the famous Hotel Zone. Everything is within walking distance: Señor Frogs, The City, La Vaquita, Mandala, and the iconic Coco Bongos. There are also nice shops, restaurants and a nice shopping plaza that sold $1 beverages! The Hotel Zone is very lively & fun & energetic. It felt totally safe as well. The hotel is very good. The elevators were on the slow side. The rooftop pool is great with great views of the city below. I wish the pool area had more chairs, tables & sun umbrellas. There is a bar area but no one was tending it. The hotel has free cocktails in the lobby for those who drink. The hotel staff is very nice. Gustavo at the front desk area was very helpful. The best thing about this hotel is its location. Not only in the heart of the Hotel Zone, but also right across the street from the public beach. The second best thing was the price: very affordable! Not a 5-star hotel, but it's clean, decent, safe & has a rooftop pool & free drinks. Can't get much better than that for the price! We can't wait to go back to Cancun & stay longer at Aloft.

Nope. Marriott ought to be ashamed. This place is a two star hotel hands down. I'm assuming the only reason why Marriott purchased this was because it's connected to some kind of convention/conference center. This joker needs to be gutted and redone. The furniture is chipped, torn up, and probably from a salvation army collection from the '90s. Thee views are absolutely terrible, the shower needs to be blown up, and the rooms need to be repainted and redecorated. The alarm clock was from 1982, housekeeping didn't even bother to refill the shower gel/ shampoo/conditioner containers in the bathroom, the soap and towel hooks were rusting, and the shower grout was stained (pink- ekk) and absolutely disgusting - you have to bring shower shoes if you're staying in this place. I imagine this is for 18-year-olds that have escaped from their parents and their first vacation. They have a free happy hour in the afternoon at the hotel lobby bar. The only good thing about this place is that I did not see any bugs and I was not robbed or kidnapped during the night. Good luck.

Roof top pool

Overall this hotel was great! Our room was very spacious and clean upon arrival. The showers are nice and clean. The staff was excellent great English and the bell boys are very welcoming. The bar has great options open most of the day, the breakfast is decent they have little options. The rooftop pool is very nice and was mostly private during our 4 day stay, the view is nice and there are 2 different beaches walking distance. They provide beach towels if you ask. We had to ask for a hair dryer, mini fridge and iron they were very quick to help and bring it to the room. The hotel is so close to the nightclubs which is awesome. They have a pool table and a nice small lobby. This hotel is definitely worth the cost. Recommended !

The bed was ok. Pillows were decent. We slept good cause the humidity just sucks the life from you.

I would NEVER stay here again. Let's just say this first and put it all out there. I booked this hotel on Travelocity.. it was all lies. The pool was not was is pictured! Yellow hazard taped against all the balcony. The "pool was very small. Maybe about 4.5 feet. They do have a bartender. Decent music. And cabanas are free it's just first come first serve. So got to get there early. Plenty of space to lay out on as well but like hard to get towels... The room with a "Lagoon" view was a joke. I was barely able see. I think we stayed on the 7th floor. The ac was absolutely freezing in the room which I guess can be a plus since we went in the middle of summer. And it was uncomfortably hot and humid. Now something I didn't take lightly was how disgusting the showers are here, how horrible the " cleaning ladies did". And how scarce it was to call 4X to get towels and clean bottled water!! Like really. I saw these ladies just chillin doing nothing - and we received semi wet towel. They must have been directly from the dryer because they still were damp. Also- The toilet smell reeked of booty smells! Like it really smelled like someone continually dropped a poooo in there. Because it was raunchy smell- filled The whole room. All the Time. I gagged half the time. You also have to leave your room key in this slide, too keep lights on which was really wierd.. And the room was extremely dark!! And the floors were freezing and it was so frustrating when your thousand of miles away. As being apart of a Marriott linked hotel. I would have expected wayyyy more then this poor excuse to be called a hotel !!!! Absolutely the worst stay of my life. The location was decent/ I'll give it that. Because your about 5 min from a beach. And 10 min walking distance from the downtown party area. Plus more beaches around the area, the beaches are very clean, water is so warm and it's like bath water, tons of tourists and places to see. Yet it was nice and quiet. I just had to complain about those "amenities " mentioned above, I think those are equally important. Front desk guys were nice. Most knew English that was comforting. Other then that. I would not recommend to stay here. I would definitely stay at an all inclusive or a different hotel and pay a little more for better amenities and nice pool to relax by.

A sign from god himself

First off, the staff here are amazing and very helpful and courteous. The reason for the rating is beyond the control of the employees. I paid a low price for a reason and you shouldn't walk in here expecting a really modern hotel or "bumping" hotel, it's a tad out dated. I would stay here again because of the hospitality and it's an easy + affordable way to add nights to your year via booking Marriott direct. It's centrally located and they have complimentary drinks from 11am-11pm. There are many restaurants nearby despite them not having a restaurant on site. If you don't want to leave the hotel use the app: Rappi (food delivery) easy fix! Lastly: DOG FRIENDLY!! another great reason to stay here.

9th floor, pretty good view.

The food was another highlight. With multiple onsite restaurants. Vina del Mar was perfect for starting the day- it serves breakfast lunch and dinner and offers mexican and international cuisine . Outdoor sitting was beautiful. All other restaurants would need reservations- and we tried Chianti Trattoria Italiana - serving Italian cuisine and had elegant atmosphere. La Joya- serving authentic Mexican cuisine with incredible presentation. With its prime beachfront location, relaxing pools, outstanding dining options, and exceptional service, Grand Fiesta Americana Cancun delivers a truly luxurious experience. Besides the price (extra $127/night for a toddler), we had a wonderful experience - the food (both quality and variety), the well-kepted grounds, the amenities (Kid's Club, gym, pools) and the service are all top-notch. Food: there are food available from 6AM to 11PM. Some places I visited multiple times are: The cafe (opens from 6AM to 11PM) - coffee, tea and Frappe available all day. I usually stopped by after the gym (yoga near the beach at 7AM) to grab a iced latte and freshly baked pastires (dulce de leches cruffin is my favorite). Habaneros (opens from 12-6PM) - this is a casual spot serving tacos and ceviche on the beach. Even my toddler enjoyed the mixed ceviche with octupus. I enjoyed the ceviche, salmon toastada, and octopus tacos, while my toddler playyed with sand on the beach next to the table. Moongate (opens after 5PM) - the only restaurant that requires reservation, but for Teppanyaki ONLY. We were able to make a reservation for 5PM about 3 days in advance. The Teppanyaki chefs are all super energetic and made the experience fun for both kids and adults. We went back for dinner, and enjoyed some Asian Fusion dinner of ramen and sushi/rolls. My favorites include Short-rib, Teriyaki Salmon and the Omakase Nigiri. Trade Winds (opens for breakfast and dinner) - best steak in the resort. Last but not least, it took me 3 days to find my non-alcoholic drink of choice - strawberry mojito. I'm not a fan of the pina colada here, just FYI. One thing I don't like is the dolphins in captivity. I know it's a major attraction of the resort, and my kids honestly enjoyed watching the dolphins swim around and being trained. But it still makes me sad to see them contained in such a limited area.

It comes with its own food/drink service (although sometimes we didn't see them for long stretches of time). You also get a free 5 minute facial for two people and two complimentary coconuts. Highly recommend because the bench chairs get taken up early in the day with people who simply put towels on them and walk away. The views here are amazing. The water is warm and blue. Everything I learned about cancun was real lol. I'd definitely come back here again in the future!

WOW This is our…read morefirst resort in Cancun and I don't think we will ever choose another one. FOOD Wow. We did our homework before our trip and saw Zilara Cancun had good/decent reviews about their food. Let me tell you, this is probably the best food I've had in a long long time. Top dishes for me are the octopus with mole and lobster tostada from Maria Marie. If you like/can eat seafood, trust me on this. The drinks are phenomenal as well. There are signature drinks at all the restaurants. Those are mostly hits but some are misses (depends on your taste buds) PRO TIP: sign up for alcohol tastings at The Den first day you get there. We did tequila and wine tasting. It was quite a unique experience. SERVICE I've never gotten treated like this in any hotel I've been at. Chef's kiss for sure. The bellhop/front desk usually can break your 20s/100s into 1s so don't feel the need to exchange pesos (unless you want to of course). The workers at the hotel (and around Cancun overall) takes USD PRO TIP: there are a lot of activities hosted by the hotel. Morning exercise classes are really fun and the night shows are just okay. The crowd is definitely on the older side that just want to come to Cancun and chill not party. From hearing the reviews, Zilara had the most amount of activities from various first hand reviews from our friends All in all, solid resort. You won't regret it!

I wish they would have advertised/told us the buffet had different theme dinners. They were our favorite for dinner. There were good dishes at each, but nothing phenomenal. I really liked the lunches they had set up by the pool. It was overall good and on par with my expectations for an all inclusive. BEACH- this is honestly one of the highlights. The resort had one of the best beaches and ability to get in the ocean. If you want to get in the ocean, this is the spot. SERVICE - this was the most disappointing. At Excellence you cannot breathe without someone asking if you need something. It took a long time for people to check on us and we tip well. Day 4 we finally found Humberto who was THE BEST! Find him and tip him well. ROOMS- they were good and I was happy with them! POOLS- the pools were fine. A little shaded. The most annoying part was the cabana situation. Some are free, some are always paid, and some are paid on certain days. I get up at like 6AM every day anyways so I got good cabanas but if you're not an early riser you're screwed. Overall, I'd return!!

Before booking, I was assured this was a quality all-inclusive resort offering premium alcohol and an elevated experience. That could not have been further from the truth. Upon arrival, the property looked nothing like what was advertised. There was essentially one bar, and it was extremely underwhelming--no premium alcohol options at all. This alone was a huge red flag and not what was promised. Things only got worse from there. While asking about adult/VIP amenities (specifically the Altitude breakfast), a staff member followed us and told us we needed to pay $20 to make a reservation. This made no sense since we had already paid for an all-inclusive experience. It later became clear this was a manipulative tactic to lure us into a timeshare presentation. We were never properly informed--just misled and pressured. We booked an Altitude Oceanfront Corner Suite, expecting a premium oceanfront experience. Instead, the room had a clear view of the parking garage and city--this was, at best, a partial ocean view. When we complained, staff came up and continued to misrepresent the room, insisting it was oceanfront when it clearly was not. It felt dishonest and dismissive. To make matters worse, the room's air conditioning did not work. We were on a top floor with direct sun exposure, and the room was unbearably hot. Maintenance attempted to fix it, but it remained broken. At that point, after everything else we experienced, staying was not even an option. The food situation was equally disappointing. The buffet had extremely limited options--mostly just pizza and mussels. For an all-inclusive resort, this was unacceptable and far below expectations. Thankfully, Expedia was able to step in, witness part of what was happening, and relocate us to Hyatt Ziva Cancun, which was a completely different (and much better) experience. Overall, this stay felt like one continuous attempt to mislead and upsell. From false advertising to manipulative tactics and poor accommodations, nothing about this experience aligned with what was promised. I strongly recommend booking elsewhere if you want a genuine all-inclusive experience. This property is not what it claims to be.

The staff was very friendly and tried to help with our request. The room was a junior suite with an ocean view. It was comfortable and our room attendant did a great job. The king bed was two beds pushed together, but with some magic by the wife we made it more like one and were very comfortable. You can get a single king bed in some of the rooms. We were there with friends and didn't want be separated so we stayed with that configuration. I would try and get a room on the west wing. It actually looks to the east and you don't get the extreme heat in the late afternoon that the east wing does. We ate at all of the restaurants and our favs were the Black and White Steak house and Krystal. The Italian restaurant off of the lobby was good for a quick slice of pizza at lunch time. The buffet is like it is on a cruise ship and was good for most of our breakfast seatings. After a few days gets a little old. The staff was super friendly and hard workers. There is a 24 hour refreshment spot, but the food is only so so. Just for a quick sandwich or fruit. They do have a beer tap and a few selections of liquor available there for self service as well. The pool and beach area had plenty of chairs and umbrellas. If you don't see any available just ask and they will make it happen if possible. My complaint about the pool would be they close at 7:00. One small pool stay open until 8:00. Way too early for an adult only. I suggest if you want to do excursions to go straight across the street to one of the stands. If you know what you want to do they are a much better deal, but be certain you know where you want to go. make sure and get transportation included in your excursion. Also in that area there is the Bamboo Spa. You can get a massage for less than half at the resort spa. They did a very good job and were very professional. Not a "happy endings" type of place. Tell them you will do the massage if they throw in the fish foot treatment. Sounds weird but it was pretty nice. This is all inclusive for food and drink. The drinks are pretty light and when you ask for something other than the house liquor I'm pretty sure it didn't happen all the time. The best is to ask for the drink with a shot on the side, or better yet go to the bar yourself and watch them make the drink. It was definitely better and i was assured to get the name brand. Over all I would recommend this RIU.

The hotel is a palace and we were able to explore other hotels around (Caribe night party was super fun! And the Cancún next door was more lively at night and had better social life!) The staff were super friendly and made sure our cups were ALWAYS full and we were happy!! It's also NO KIDS, so you never had to worry about crying babies or kids running over your stuff at the pool/beach! The food: The buffet was great (not like normal hotels cheep buffets) this place had amazing staff and the quality of the fresh food was so shocking! There were endless options each day. There are also other restaurants at the hotel, our favorite was the Japanese one, the food was so good (we got multiple dumpling orders TO-GO back to our room. The steak house was good as well, just it gets BUSY and you need to book in advance to ensure you'll get a table. The Italian one was very American Average, nothing crazy stood out, but again the venue vibes were great! The 4th one, we never went to cuz the menu didn't fit our desire, but it looked cool from the outside! Cons of this hotel: The 24hr snack lounge had this kinda funky cleaning smell? I don't know how to describe it but my clothes coming home had that odor on it. Also The beach was kinda small/narrow so there wasn't much room if you came down around lunch. Chairs/loungers were also a VERY hot item and it was hard to find chairs after 10am most days. If you like to drink, there isn't that "top shelf" quality of liquor here, it's kinda average... but the bartenders were able to make virtually any drink and we never had a single bad drink! Transportation: No one (not a single person) told us that you need to confirm your return transpiration the day after you arrive (and the travel people can be found out at the stage lounge are most mornings). Riu had messed up and booked 2 out of 6 of our party on a VERY early pick up instead of having us all travel together. We had to rebook through the agent outside but I was able to get a refund when I go back home) ------------------ Overall, BOOK this hotel. At the pool we were taken great care of by Maria, Jeanette, Lucinda, and Laura! At the upstairs bar, Rual was a fantastic bartender! We so appreciated our Butlers, René and Juan! At the Spa, we highly recommend Linda. And at the Salon, there's no better than, Karina! Every restaurant had amazing service and food. I want to tell you our favorite restaurant, but they're all so good and we have a favorite something in every restaurant, so try them all! We also had so much fun playing pickle ball, chess, pool, and other games! Just a perfect week, hanging out at the pools or the beach, just everything...so much fun! Thank you to everybody at LeBlanc that made our stay extra special! And we can't wait to come back soon!

My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary and were looking forward to a relaxing vacation. We arrived early, 7:30AM and our private transportation picked us up after about 15-20 minutes after arriving. After a quick drive to the resort, we checked in. No welcome towel service nor welcome drink, but we received a warm neck wrap. Unfortunately, our room wasn't ready until 11:30AM, so we walked around to explore the property and have breakfast. We received a text message from the lobby that our room was ready and to return to the front desk. We were told our room number and that our luggage would be delivered shortly. The room had a beautiful view of the ocean, clean, stocked with snacks and drinks ,and over all nice. We unpacked ourselves and headed to the pool. While we were on the way, we met our butler who's desk is located in the hallway of the elevators. At that time we were connected to a WhatsApp group text. Then we returned to our room with our butler, who reviewed the amenities and light switches in our room. We ate at all the restaurants. We went to Blanc and Terraza for breakfast and our 2 favorite restaurants for dinner were Bella and Yama. Unfortunately, on a few occasions, Terraza and Yama served us cold food, as if they were sitting out too long. We tried scheduling room service breakfast and they were behind in schedule 30-40 minutes. We were underwhelmed as the room service menu as it wasn't as grand as the other palace resorts; we were looking forward to the chocolate cake; which wasn't available. The K'akau, coffee shop was the best to relieve our chocolate cravings. The main pool lounge chairs were always taken, so get there early. We relaxed at all the pools and depending on the day had our favorite. The beach is beautiful and the lifeguard at the tower was always welcoming and helpful to get us lounge chairs. The spa services and hydrotherapy were wonderful, but we were disappointed that the men and women were separated in the pool and jacuzzi areas. We ran into difficulties with our dinner and spa bookings. We made prior arrangements with our pre-concierge, but when we wanted to change our schedule, the on site concierge didn't have access to canceling them. We were told to email our pre-concierge to ask her to delete them from the system. Our pre-concierge also didn't confirm our restaurant bookings for certain days and so we had to ask our Butler if they were booked. What was the most disappointing was the evening entertainment. We were looking forward to certain shows/performances and then a few hours before the scheduled time, seeing the entertainment was removed and replaced with something mundane. We've been to Sun Palace, another adult only resort, down the road and after our experience at Le Blanc, we actually prefer Sun Palace over Le Blanc. From our experience.. Le Blanc is a great place if you enjoy the spa, peace and quiet, and want to just chill and lounge. But if you want a little more excitement, fun, music, and meet people and have great conversations, Sun Palace is the place. Our Butler, Rene on the 3rd floor was awesome. He made our anniversary special. Safety: We felt safe. When we arrived at the resort after walking down the hotel zone, security always checked us in. When we arrived via taxi or uber, they did the same thing. If you walked out to the beach, you have to scan your bracelet to exit the gate and also scan it the when you enter back onto the resort property. Elevators: There are 3 elevators and during our stay, 1 was always out of order. One day, 2 elevators were out of order. Luckily, we were only on the 3rd floor, so we often took the stairs. The stairwell does need more lighting, it is dark, so watch your step.

They are constantly cleaning the resort and are more than helpful with anything you ever need. There is a 24 hour bar that also has sandwiches, fruit, nachos, and other things to eat anytime you are hungry. We loved this bar and loved the bartenders the best! The only reason I gave it a four instead of a five is, I feel like it needs some of its own activities amped up. The only activities we really had here were simple little ones at the pool or at the area where people can sit at a theater type place. If you want a really great time, you can be shuttle to another RIU property, which is so much fun!

We stayed in the small building this time. There's also two ocean sides: rocky (near beach volleyball is played and good for collecting shells) and non-rocky side (water is clear and great for body surfing). There is a spa and gym on-site. Multiple pools and bars. Pros: Gorgeous ocean views. Great hotel layout with lots of palm trees. Very clean. Rooms were spacious. Bed was comfy. The mini fridge was packed with water bottles, pop, and beer. I had a balcony that overlooked the pool and ocean, which I loved. Staff are very nice. Band/singer that plays before the show were great. Food was good. Good selection of food options. Good selection of restaurant options. Each restaurant posts a menu (in multiple languages) for the day's meals. Buffet over looks ocean. Neutral/meh: this hotel loves their parties. Every day there's a different theme. Busses take people to the RIU Caribe. There is a discotech that opens after the evening's show. Restaurants work on a beeper system since they do not take reservations. Alcoholic drinks can be strong. Evening shows were OK some nights. Cons: when we checked in, my room was not ready. They told me that they woukd email me when it was ready (did not receive). Did eventually get my room. While they had activities (listed on app), not all of them were played/hard to find. If it's super windy out, the elevators don't go pass floor 2 in the small building. You have to use the stairs. We came on a windy day and one of the workers allowed us to use the service elevator because we didn't want to lug our luggage up to the 3rd floor. Can hear your neighbors upstairs and can hear people out in the hall. Overall, we had a great time!

Check in with Diego was a breeze. Although they did not offer us an upgrade, which could have been possible through our credit card partnership, he did let us pick a room from what was available. I was very please with the hotel. It exceeded my expectations. If I ever return to Cancun, I would stay here again.

Unfortunately, for the past two years, our experiences have declined significantly. The hotel no longer maintains the level of service and standards we once loved. The atmosphere feels different, the staff are not as welcoming, and there is a noticeable lack of attentiveness and care. During this stay, we had a particularly unpleasant two-day experience at the beach regarding the setup of lounge chairs and umbrellas. Rather than going into every detail, I will simply say the situation was handled poorly and left us very disappointed. What was most upsetting was that no meaningful effort was made to resolve the issue or make up for the inconvenience. Even after speaking with Guest Relations, who mentioned contacting the General Manager, nothing improved the following day. No accommodation or gesture was offered, which was surprising given the hotel's luxury positioning. It is also noticeable that the property feels quite empty during weekdays, except on special occasions or long weekends. Even then, the warmth and hospitality we once associated with this hotel seem to be missing. That said, I want to sincerely recognize Valenzo, who served us daily. He was professional, kind, and incredibly attentive. We never had to ask for anything, he would notice small details, like refilling ice before we even realized it was melting. His service was outstanding and he truly tried to make our stay better. Thank you, Valenzo. You made a difference. It is genuinely sad to see a place that once meant so much to us lose its standard. We hope management takes guest feedback seriously and invests in retraining staff to restore the level of service this property was once known for.
