My initial consultation with Dr. Kuy and his patient coordinator, Aimee, was so informative and thorough, and I immediately felt comfortable with them. That says a lot after spending that much time researching and meeting with other surgeons. I actually scheduled my surgery that day because I felt so confident in Dr. Kuy and his team. Aimee was wonderful, she set clear expectations for what would happen next, when I would be contacted, and how I should prepare. Ellyn, the nurse handling my pre-op care, was equally fantastic. She contacted me exactly when promised, provided precise instructions for my pre-op testing and medications, and followed up again before surgery to make sure I understood everything and was prepared. The organization and communication throughout the process were outstanding. The morning of surgery, I was nervous, but Wendie, the scrub tech, and Ellyn immediately put me at ease. They were kind, reassuring, and made what could have been an intimidating morning feel comfortable. Dr. Kuy came in to do my markings and answer any last-minute questions. He is incredibly kind, calm, and reassuring and has such an easy manner that makes you feel completely comfortable in his care. The entire team was also very kind and inclusive with my husband, which meant a lot to both of us. The recovery experience has been equally amazing. Ashleigh was wonderful, and I woke up with no nausea or complications. Dr. Kuy checked on me again before I went home and personally called me that afternoon to see how I was doing. That personal follow-up really stood out to me. I am now about 10 days post-op and have had little to no pain throughout my recovery. The staff has continued to be incredibly responsive to the few questions I've had, and I have always felt supported and well cared for. And then there are the results. They have far exceeded my expectations. I was told so many times during this process to have realistic expectations, so I mentally prepared myself for good, but not necessarily great. Well, they are amazing. 10/10. I am so happy that Dr. Kuy was able to achieve the results he did. They look beautiful, natural, and so much better than I ever expected. They are healing remarkably well, and I could not be happier. I know I am still early in the healing process, but I already feel incredibly confident that I made the right decision and chose the right surgeon. I was assured that I would not lose enough breast tissue for anyone to notice. I kept getting told i was getting a lift. Not a reduction. I secured financial responsibility and had all my visits to prepare for my surgery. On August 30th i went under the knife. Dr Steven Robinson didnt even have the decency to go and talk to my husband who was waiting for me. He called him. Very Unprofessional in my opinion. We had just spent $12,000. It would have been money well spent had he done his job and did it good. 20+ years "Dr" Robinson had been cutting into people and somehow I was the one that got butchered. My incisions were deep, crooked, he overlapped causing a crease in my skin under my arms and my left breast incision had been coming open and infected. I had to buy butterfly bandages to pull incision back together and that didn't even work. Not to mention I literally bled from my incisions for weeks. I went into surgery a DDD and came out a D....but I "didnt" get a reduction. I became very self conscious and didn't leave the house for 6 months. I had always been a big chested girl until Robinson cut into me. I had spoke to the office manager about getting some money back as all I had gotten out of this was a botched surgery and scars that will last a lifetime. (Not a lift) One of my scars (now that it's been almost 2 years) is literally 1.5" wide. I wanted a lift to feel sexy and now I'm scarred for life. I dont feel sexy i feel ugly and damaged. I couldn't wait any longer so I went to The Plastic Surgery Institue in Dayton where I got 440 cc's implants put in just to get back to a DDD. How did I get that big of implants if he didnt remove any tissue? After going back and forth with the office they refused to pay me anything. I even told the office manager about my implants. I asked how did I have to get that big of implants to get back to my size before surgery if he hadnt removed tissue. She didnt have any answer. I was disgusted with my belly, every night I envisioned cutting it off myself. I had my first baby at age 17, and a few miscarriages and 3 more full term babies. My last was 10 lbs which really made the extra skin an issue. After being on the Depo Provera shot for years and then menopause, my belly became something I could not live with. I would lose weight and then have skin hanging, nothing made it look better. I interviewed several Doctors and after meeting Dr Peter McKenna and his staff, I knew he was the one. He was the only one that offered the 72 hour pain ball for the stomach muscle repair. He also has a state of the art surgery center attached to his office, which was very desirable for me, as I do not feel comfortable with hospitals. Once I found him, I wasted not time getting it scheduled. I had watched videos and been researching for over a year. Now I found a Surgeon I had total faith in,(I'm not going to lie, the many times he has been chosen as a top Doctor, helped) I was prepared for the worst pain of my life, but I knew it would be worth it. Friday 11/3, Day of surgery, I met the Surgery staff, who were just as friendly as the rest of the staff. I was in and out of there in about 5 hours and on my way home. Preparing for pain, I didn't really have any. I did have a bad reaction to pain pills, so immediately switched to Extra Strength Tylenol, them had a reaction to my nausea meds so completely quit that. I went back after the weekend for follow up and to have pain ball removed. I was surprised, I never had any pain in my incision, I had some tummy muscle pain, but was very careful not to aggravate it. I could not believe it when 10 days after my surgery, they removed my bandage on my incision and it looked great, it looked healed and still no pain. I thought incision would be the worst and it was the easiest. The worst part was the reaction to meds and the down time, because I am normally very active. My last appointment 6 weeks after, Dr. McKenna looked at my incision and said "It looks good". I said "I know, I had an expert do it"! My decision to chose Dr. Peter McKenna was a big part of this being the best thing I have ever done for myself. The results are amazing, I just wish I had done it earlier.

This place is pretty big, not only do they do dermatology, it's also a place they do Botox and other cosmetic procedures. It's so clean and the staff is attentive/ super friendly. My dermatologist was Emi Dougherty, CNP - Certified Nurse Practitioner. She was very patient and answered all my questions. They prescribed me Opzelura cream for my eczema.
