Our new backyard was filled with large, unhealthy trees that were in danger of falling at some point (and positioned precariously over neighbors' homes!). Rather than wait for that to happen, we called Luna after the biz was recommended to us by multiple friends. The walkthrough and consultation with Liz was straightforward and informative, and we quickly came up with an action plan. Within weeks, the crew was onsite taking down trees -- I was so surprised and impressed that they were able to accomplish so much in December! Communication was great, and the cost was worth every penny. Thinking about the high winds in some of this winter's storms, I'm incredibly relieved that the trees were taken out at the beginning of the season. Fortunately they had fallen on the ground, causing no property damage. I called Andrew, of Trout Brook Landscaping to take down the damaged branches. Andrew has done tree removal previously on my property and on my parent's, so I knew he would be the perfect man for the job. Andrew is extremely professional, responsive and skilled in his line of work. He immediately came with his equipment, and took down the heavy tree branch, and he cut down the damaged branches off the dogwood tree. He of course cleaned up all of the tree debris. The offer was more than fair. Once I confirmed to go ahead with the project, they arrived the same day to do the bulk of the work. The tree was successfully brought down despite there being power lines in the way, with no property damage or any accidents. Some logs were left behind, but they were removed several days later as is often the case with jobs like this. Other than a small divot in the lawn where the tree came down, you'd hardly know the tree had been recently removed. So overall, very happy with the work done. That being said, whenever you hire a contractor to do something like this, always get everything (including the price, timeline, specifics and their signature) written down to cover yourself. I'm not victim-blaming the negative reviews here, but cynicism and paperwork are your friends.

THEY WORKED THEIR BUTTS OFF. They must have burned 5,000 calories each taking my dangerous tree down. I haven't been this impressed by a company from quote to set up to clean up to payment. It's SO nice not to have to play phone tag with a business. She was very friendly, and quite responsive, every time I had a question. I also appreciated the way that she attached their licensing & insurance certificates at the bottom of the contract, without having to be asked. When the work crew came out a week later, they got right to it. They did everything they said they would, and their clean-up was amazing. Even though I have woods in the back, they didn't throw a single twig back there. They hauled everything out to the chipper in the front. My lawn & driveway were pristine when they left. When we were ready to move forward, the company was backlogged longer than we could stand, so we called another firm, B & M Tree Service. The manager came out before 9 am the next day, and explained that the limbs were no threat or in any danger. He joked that he would take our money if we insisted, but the job was totally unnecessary. This level of integrity is worthy of public note. Neighbors have worked with B & M and note their good work. Hopefully, we won't need them, but we know who to call.

Due to some roots they were unable to add the metal edging around the trees. Got some different options and went with some stone work which was done so beautifully. The crew also noticed the new deck that was built for the pool was built very poorly and suggested I contact the construction company. I did on their suggestion and the construction company admitted to their poor build and decided to rip it down and rebuild with new material and a new crew. Lawn and Order saved me a huge problem with their suggestions. I already have a few more projects in mind and I will be using Lawn and Order. These guys are AMAZING.
