I called last week to have Bruce look at a tree that was looking "ill". He recommended we remove it, which I expected. He said he'd get to it sometime next week, which was pretty good. They showed up this morning at 8AM, assessed the situation, and got to work. We thought it would be about 2 hours, but it was gone and cleaned up in barely 50 minutes! What an efficient crew. Bruce worked with my parents to provide an estimate for work they thought they would need, including trimming a row of at least eight very large pine trees. We had already received two estimates from other tree services, each of the companies were ready to start cutting. Bruce approached the job differently. He took the time to listen to the plan, he sorted out what we were trying to achieve. After he fully understood our approach and goals, he explained what the finished job would look like, and brought to light the negative consequences of our plan. Bruce prioritized their needs above his own, essentially talking us out of doing the work at all. He was punctual and arrived in a very reasonable timeframe. He is responsive, and even followed up to make sure all were in agreement. Bruce exemplified a high level of integrity that is rare. Not only did he save us a few thousand dollars, but spared them from going forward with what would have been a fairly big mistake! Graver Tree Service is the best tree service I have used. I've tried several and Graver is by far the best. They arrived with seven guys to work the crane, lift, shredder and wood loader along with six trucks. The crane parked in the road so that they didn't leave any tire tracks on the lawn and they used mats for the lift so that didn't leave marks either. We had them remove a massive oak tree (more than 3' in diameter) and they were done in under three hours. I have only compliments for their professionalism and service. read more

Big shout out to Gravers Tree Service. They came out with a giant crane to remove some big dead trees that were right against my fence. They were on time, very thorough, and cleaned everything up before heading out. Pretty cool to watch. Very very pleased. Highly recommend! read more

We had a couple of dying Ash trees on our property that needed to be removed. After asking for recommendations from friends & Facebook groups, we came up with several suggestions. Graver's was one of them. Performing our due diligence, we called 4 companies to come out and estimate the job. Because Graver's gave us the best price and came with good recommendations, we awarded them the job in July. When I called to schedule the job, Bruce (who really seemed like a nice guy) said they would be able to get to us in about a month. I said "That's fine. Just call before you come out." Having dealt with tree guys before, we know how some of them like to just show up un-announced at 7 am on a Saturday morning and ring the doorbell. Or better yet, just start cutting trees on a day when we've made other plans. A month and a half later, after realizing that we hadn't heard from them, I called again just to make sure we were still on his schedule. Bruce didn't remember who we were and eventually told me that they got really busy because of a recent storm that came through. He assured me that he would get to us in another month. I told him that I totally understood emergency jobs should definitely be taken care of before us and said I'd see him in October. 6-7 weeks later, we called him again. Again, it was like he never heard of us. "Who's this? What town are you in?" Bruce said he'd "definitely" see us in 2 weeks. As always, I said "Great! We'll make sure we're here. Just please call to confirm." 4 weeks later, after not hearing back, we called again. This time Bruce said that for some reason we weren't in the "pre-storm pile" (the jobs that were booked before the storm), but he would move us there and call us back the next day to schedule a day. By now several storms had come and we were afraid that one of the branches would break off and land in our neighbor's car. We also knew that winter was coming soon and we weren't exactly getting the warm fuzzies that the job would ever get done with these guys after chasing them for 5 months. So, 5 days later (after not hearing back AGAIN) we moved to the next company on the list. They said they could be here in 2 weeks and did just that. We were very lucky to have them available at such short notice. They charged a few hundred dollars more, but they showed up, called first and did a great job. They also picked up 3 more jobs (so far) from my neighbors. The best part came today. A week after the other company finished the job and over a month since Bruce said he's call us back "tomorrow". A Graver's truck arrived completely unannounced at 8:20 this rainy December morning looking to "cut the trees". I'm just sorry I wasn't here to explain why we went with someone else. My elderly mother who is staying with us, told them that the job was already done. What would have happen if she weren't here? Would they destroy the lawn using their equipment in the rain while cutting other trees on the property? This is one of the reasons I ask people to call before showing up to do a job. To make sure I am there. I don't know why Graver's pulled our chain for 5 MONTHS and never returned our phone calls. It is a horrible way to run a business. I can only assume they have too many customers and are too busy to acquire new ones. I will do my best to help them with that issue in the future. You're welcome. read more

When is the last time you got a quote from a contractor and they just showed up, did a great job, asked only project related questions, cleaned up after themselves and then sent you a bill in the mail after the job was done? I would not even consider hiring Graver's Tree Care. They just trimmed a 30 ft. tree in our yard. In the process, they mangled our satellite dish, left a 6 ft. bare limb sticking out of the lower part of the tree trunk, left several chopped branches in the tree and many smaller branches on the ground, crushed 3 plants in the garden, cracked/dislodged a tread on one of the deck steps, and left our home without even trying to make good on the situation, despite our attempt at conversation. Now we are left with the very time-consuming tasks of getting everything repaired, along with no internet/tv service for at least 5 days. In my opinion, the tree care we received and the disruptions it is causing are unacceptable. read more

We've had them do work a couple times in our backyard. One year they trimmed a large oak. A few years later they took down a cluster of maple trees in the far back of our property. Each time the crew was professional and friendly. Bruce Graver gave us honest, straight forward advice. Sadly we needed to take down a very large tree in our backyard. After getting quotes we chose gravers. the five man team worked brilliantly together. They were skilled and professional. It was a tight site including power lines; the crane operator carefully moved huge sections of the tree without touching anything! The bucket operator was equally impressive making precise safe cuts. The ground crew made quick work of chipping and loading the tree. As much as I hated cutting the tree down Gravers made it a positive experience. I highly recommend them. read more
